Favorite tech: Reddit https://reddit.com/

My favorite technology has to be reddit by far. It’s the perfect place if you wanna laugh, get caught up with sports through highlights and the list can go on forever. It’s one of those things I have to show friends within 2 minutes of opening it because I’m either laughing really hard or in need to show something cool. Above all, it provides me with streams almost every night for sports events I don’t have access. Before this class, I only used it for streaming capabilities but I now am on it literally everyday.

Least favorite tech: Tumblr https://www.tumblr.com/dashboard

I just feel you can get everything tumblr offers and so much more in social media sites like facebook, twitter, etc. It just feels to me that tumblr is a little outdated now-- it was really fun to use in high school but now its like something of the past. If you want a blog site, there are better blogs out there. If you want somewhere to share your pictures, there are better substitutes. The only thing I feel as though it is great at is the consumer base who like to make more artsy edits or creations.

Mashups and Tumblr

The Kia Habaniro will be a mashup of the best aspects of different vehicles and bringing a more futuristic approach to it. It will be on AND off road, electric, have an autonomous mode, have a windshield that can also be used as a television and so much more. It is definitely something of the future but you have to look at the actual pictures of this thing-- its amazing!

Minecraft and Tumblr

I first started playing minecraft when I was around 15 years old after I downloaded it onto my Xbox. I found it pretty easy at first but there was definitely a lot to learn. It helped that the console version was easier for starters (did not have to know the crafting layouts of everything). I understand why its so popular-- its a never ending free world to roam and create almost anything your heart desires. I did not have a great time with SecondLife as it was gruesome to use on my laptop. It was laggy and slow so I definitely prefer Minecraft as opposed to the other ones. Minecraft is living well beyond its lifespan so I’ll still go with it to be popular going forward.

Favorite Twitter App

https://tweetdeck.twitter.com/

Tweetdeck is great in managing different forms of social media and also organizing your Twitter/other accounts into columns that are much easier to read and understand. You can organize your Twitter audience into groups which will almost create personal subreddit-like content. I would use it to separate political news, sports news, humor, celebrities and many other groups so that I can choose where I want to spend my attention. This is definitely a great app and I highly recommend it!
