KINNPORSCHE TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY EVENT
— prompt: identity
Pete takes a robe out of the closet of abandoned skins — vibrant ruby, glowing emerald.
Vegas no longer wears them.
(Without them, he seems much lighter.)
He slides into a silky jade green, covers himself in Vegas' old skin, wrapping it around himself and letting it warm his own; folding himself into the embrace of Vegas' scent.
Like this, Pete can become someone else — his warped personhood overlapping and melting together with Vegas'.
This closeness transforms him.
Into someone with Vegas' confidence, who's not afraid to want, who knows how he likes it.
Into someone who will ask for it.

ICJ RULES AGAINST STOPPING GERMAN ARMS EXPORTS TO THE ISRAELI OCCUPATION
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) at the Hague has ruled against Nicaragua in its case asking the Court to stop German arms exports to the Israeli occupation in support for its genocide in Gaza.
"The circumstances are not such as to require the exercise of its power under Article 41 of the statute to indicate provisional measures," stated presiding Judge Nawaf Salam.
Nicaragua previously argued before the Court that Germany was in violation of the 1948 Genocide Conventions by supplying arms to the Israeli occupation at a time when it would be plausibly used to commit acts of genocide in Gaza.
Germany continues to be one of the largest suppliers of weaponry to the Israeli occupation army, providing $353.7 million in equipment and munitions in 2023.

So, I know my view of Pete and personhood is probably a little more extreme than the fandom-held opinion. After all, Pete does demonstrate behaviors that showcase glimpses of who he is as a person: he exercises in a very peculiar way (naked) every morning, his pedestrian clothes are gorgeous and have a unique style, he wears jewelry, he watches football (????), and he does some other things I'm probably forgetting about right now.
Still, isn't it delicious to think he's still a non-person regardless? Isn't it intriguing to think those are bits and pieces he's accumulated throughout his life as parts of the person he's supposed to be or he feels more natural being, because he doesn't know how to be anything else?
I really can't articulate what I mean here very well, but I'd like to think of the moments Pete shows his hobbies, his interests, his sense of self as tributes to people who've given him parts of *themselves*: what we think we're seeing is Pete, but we're actually not.
For example, in his introduction, we see him doing "boxing". It's a key element to his character, but with the way he's doing it, it's as if he's taking it as a joke, as if he's not serious about it. A part of his younger self left behind. A part of his father he threw away. A part that still lingers underneath.
The pedestrian/party clothes he's wearing could be clothes he borrowed: Tankhun as a character is right there for this. It's actually my headcanon about them, that Tankhun dressed Pete up every time we see him without his uniform. This includes the jewelry. Is it probable? Eh not really. Is it interesting? Absolutely.
About football, I can see it being something the other bodyguards are interested in, so he followed along. Besides, with what little he said about it, I'm assuming his knowledge of the sport isn't the best lol.
Again, I know I'm being a little extreme and it probably makes Pete seem like a more boring character to some fans, which isn't what I'm trying to suggest at all. It's just that the VegasPete arc made Pete's non-personhood shine so brilliantly, so viscerally, that I can't help but see him this way. It drives me insane and I can't get enough.

The question of reconstruction cannot be divorced from the need for the de‑Zionisation and reunification of Palestine. Partition fundamentally contradicts the logic of cities; similarly, Zionism has historically countered Palestine’s cosmopolitan and inclusive urbanism with ethno‑centric planning. Any attempt to rebuild Gaza is futile unless it brings an end to the siege and reinstates the interconnectedness that once tied the city’s geographical continuity with Palestine’s coast, hillside and desert and its regional and global openness.

Israel is setting up a complex system of checkpoints that will prevent men of “military age” from fleeing Rafah in preparation for its offensive on the southern Gaza border city, a senior western official familiar with Israel’s plans has told Middle East Eye on condition of anonymity. The checkpoints are designed to allow some women and children to leave Rafah ahead of an expected Israeli offensive, but unarmed, civilian Palestinian men will likely be separated from their families and remain trapped in Rafah during an expected Israeli assault. The previously unreported disclosure of Israel’s construction of a ring of checkpoints around Rafah underscores how Israel is pushing ahead with plans to attack the city where over one million displaced Palestinians are sheltering in tents and makeshift camps. The creation of gender-based checkpoints around Rafah would put a spotlight back on Israel’s practice of stripping and forcibly detaining male Palestinian men and children, as it faces rising scrutiny in the West of its conduct in the war. The rounding up of Palestinian males in Gaza and photographing them stripped to their underwear drew condemnation in December, with the US calling the images “deeply disturbing”. Relatives of many of the men photographed recognised them and said they had nothing to do with Hamas. Israel's military was later accused of staging footage of men surrounding weapons. “Israel considers every male a Hamas fighter until proven otherwise,” Abbas Dahouk, a former senior military advisor at the State Department and military attache in the Middle East told Middle East Eye. “It’s not a sound move. Cordoning Rafah is a daunting task and good luck separating fathers and sons from their families.”

prompt: manipulate
Tawan paces his room. He isn’t bored exactly, the thrill of being back in the main family house is as heady as it’s ever been, but he is eager. It was always going to be a risk, worming his way back into Kinn’s life, but he’s succeeded in not being killed so now all that’s left to do is wait for his opportunity.
The room is bugged within an inch of its life, he knows, and he’s making sure the give whoever is monitoring him a show. He hopes it’s Kinn. The idea of him looking, pretending to no longer be interested, sends a thrill up Tawan’s spine. He’s confident it will only be a matter of time before Kinn gives in. After all, Tawan has had a good teacher.
It’s all he thinks about while he does his unnecessarily provocative stretches and cuts more and more material away from the shirts he’s been generously gifted. He thinks of Vegas watching him over the hidden cameras, Vegas’s voice in his ear telling him Kinn will be unable to resist, Vegas’s hands on his body, every touch a promise to the future they’re making together. Partners.
He touches reverently where the ring Vegas gave him should be sitting on his finger. He can still feel it— cool metal and Vegas’s warm lips both— lingering over his skin like the most delicious bruise.
Soon. Soon he can wear his ring freely, no longer held back by the main family’s prejudices. He could stop being a secret, and love Vegas as openly as he had loved Kinn, back when he had been young and naive and hadn’t known what was good for him. Vegas deserves that much. To be adored.
He certainly deserves it more than Kinn. Tawan had been reluctant and— though he never admitted it aloud he thinks Vegas knew— nervous to put himself in Kinn’s path again. It had been Vegas who convinced him that not only could he do this, but also had given him the drive to succeed. Now it was like a secret game shared between the two of them, and Vegas’s confidence at Tawan’s capability was a persistent glow that lights him from within. There’s no room for fear when he keeps Vegas’s words close to his heart: It will all be worth it, because it means they can be together.

Vegas stands just out of sight of the dock, taser in hand, irritation crawling all along his skin.
In these past few days, he’s managed to draw out all sorts of reactions from his new pet. Defiance. Disdain. Generous helpings of despair — morphing swiftly into rage. Vegas cherishes them all, for a plaything that snarls back is a true novelty.
And then Pete had the fucking audacity to flinch. He had the nerve to look at Vegas with fear, as if something as banal as Vegas’s belt had been enough to break him.
The acid burning in his throat tastes like bitter failure.
The belting was a stupid idea anyway. Vegas is no two-bit villain. He shouldn’t have reduced himself to petty, blunt trauma. If only he had crafted the moment better — if he had looped the belt around Pete’s neck, perhaps, pulling it taut, thick leather biting into the tendons of Pete’s throat — yes, that would have been beautiful.
A clattering sound emerges from inside the safehouse, and Vegas’s head jerks up.
Looks like his idiot pet still has some fight left in him.
His mouth stretches into a cruel grin as he runs his thumb along the side of his taser. If Pete prefers his more unusual methods, Vegas is happy to keep things interesting.

KINNPORSCHE TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY EVENT
— prompt: favourite family
Pete slides into the driver's seat with a sigh. "So, you punched him because...?"
"He was being homophobic", Macau grumbles. "And he insulted you and hia."
Pete nods. He understands, but Vegas isn't here, so he has to be the serious one.
"Don't get yourself suspended just because of some asshole."
Macau hums in acknowledgement.
A moment passes.
Pete chuckles. "Did you get him good?"
"I think I broke his nose."
"Nice. Good job."
He offers Macau his fist and Macau beams as he bumps his own against it.
"Don't tell hia?"
Pete snorts and starts the car. "You wish."
