[… If you say so… but I’m still going to keep my eye on you…]
[… Hey… Wait a minute… I know for a fact this au’s Mind knows what a caesar cipher is… What’s going on here… Well, I mean, technically I don’t know for certain, but I am absolutely sure about it…]

(Uhmm... Logos?)
[Shut up Pathos... Anyways Don't worry about it ASH, it is just a small bug in my system, okay? I am fine.]

[Man I love lava lamps. Not only do they look cool, but they also help with internet security.]
[For anyone wondering what I mean by that, Cloudflare, one of the largest web security services, uses a wall of lava lamps to get a seed to generate pseudorandom numbers from. I don’t know the intricate details of how it is done, but I still think it is cool.]
[Because of how fascinating lava lamps are, I’ve actually started collecting some.]

Have you heard of the Callsigns au? The first post of Morse's puzzle week released earlier today.
[I actually have heard of it. I saw the first post of puzzle week about an hour after it was posted. I have already submitted my answer in the ask box. I look forward to the rest of puzzle week.]
[OOC]
I have actually already submitted my answer, but I didn’t submit it as ASH, and I’m not going to double submit, so technically ASH hasn’t submitted an answer, but we can pretend my submission is hers.

Oh, you are doing research on different CCCC related universes? Since writing your introduction post, have you encountered any AUs other than the four ask blogs that you mentioned?
[I have not. If there are any you would like to inform me of then please do.]

Are you by any chance the same ASH that has been sending the Minds of those CCCC ask blogs questions about their favourite coding languages?
[Y-Yes? I thought I had made that quite clear.]

ASH, would you like to continue the preferred weapon rant over here?
[Sure, why not? I can’t be cut off on my own blog. Though, I do first have to say that I am talking purely in hypotheticals.]
[If I were to choose a preferred type of sword based off the practicality of it instead of off its appearance, I’d probably go with the European longsword. Do be aware though that I have not done extensive research on different types of swords, and that the best sword in a fight would depend on who you are fighting against. For example, a katana wouldn’t be of much use against someone in full plate armour, though, to be fair, most types of sword wouldn’t be as effective against plate armour as say, a poleaxe or other type of polearm may be.]
[I actually avoided mentioning polearms when I had been talking about preferred weaponry on the ask blog as it would undoubtedly result in an argument of “Do scythes count as polearms?”— if you are curious, the answer is “Technically yes due to a polearm being a type of weapon characterised by having the main fighting part of the weapon be extended outwards by a long shaft, one typically made of wood”— and I do not particularly want to have that argument.]
[However, this is my own blog, so I do not need to worry about that argument starting up at the mention of polearms. Once you include polearms, then another one of my preferred weapons would be the glaive. Not only are they versatile and effective, but they also are visually appealing.]
[But, of course, the best weapon also has to be one you have on hand and know how to use, and I would hope I’m not mistaken in saying most people do not carry about crossbows, swords, polearms, or most other types of weaponry. In terms of common weaponry, you’d primarily think of knives, which, yes, are usually better than no weapon at all for self defence, but are still not ideal. Honestly, a well placed heavy book can be more effective than a knife in some circumstances. In fact, if we are only talking about commonly owned items, we may have to extend the definition of what a weapon is to be “Anything used with the intent to cause physical harm to another, whether it be in self defence or not”, as otherwise, I don’t have many things I could bring up. With that extended definition of weaponry, I’d have to say that my preferred weapon would be a heavy book.]
[Uh, before I say what I’m about to say, disclaimer, this is purely from a theoretical standpoint. I have never actually needed to do this, so I’m basing it off of what makes sense to me. I have not done any calculation or experiments on this subject. Anyways, in my list of preferred common-item weaponry, the reasons I have a heavy book placed higher than a knife include: I feel more confident in my ability to forcefully whack someone in the head with the corner of a heavy book than I do my ability to successfully stab someone in a vital place, bludgeoning is more effective than stabbing, and people are more suspicious of knives than they are of books.]
[A heavy book still isn’t my preferred common-item weapon though. That would be a tie between high heels and heavy platform boots. This is because it is much easier to take a shoe off when in a fight than it is take get a heavy book out of your bag of choice, and because people are even less suspicious of shoes than they are of heavy books. Heavy platform boots are good at bludgeoning due to being heavy, and high heels are effective at forcing the impact into a small area if you hit something with the heel. If you do not believe me about the high heels, I highly recommend the Style Theory episode about it. Yes I am a fan of the theorist channels, this shouldn’t be a surprise.]
[I would subtract a point for high heels and heavy platform boots due to them being infamously hard to keep your balance whilst wearing and thus not being ideal for running away in, however this is my list, and I am impeccable at running in high heels and platform boots. I can run in high heels or platform boots at my top speed and not stumble even a bit. Honestly, I’m giving high heels and heavy platform boots a bonus point for that, as I can only imagine how menacing it must be to see someone running at full speed in high heels or platform boots.]
[Again, all of this is just hypothetical. I do not have any intention of starting physical fights or attacking people. I do not want to engage in combat, and if I am in a fight, I’d much rather just dodge and use defensive moves. And again, the best way to avoid getting injured in a fight is too not get into a fight in the first place. Try to avoid the fight, run away if you can, if you can’t run away then try to bring attention to what is happening so that other people can help. And if you absolutely must fight back, then if you have a common-item weapon on you— like say a heavy book— aim for the head, and if you do not have something to attack with other than your own limbs aim for the groin, neck, and abdomen. But still, these are all hypotheticals, violence should never be the first thing you resort to.]
[And that is my answer to the question of what my preferred weapon is. Well, I mean, it is my answer when restricted only to real world things. If you include fictional weapons then my answer would be giant hammer, all the way. And when I say giant hammer, I mean like, anime hammer girl type of giant hammer.]
[But still, this is all hypothetical. I do not condone unwarranted violence. The question of “What is ASH’s preferred weapon?” is a hypothetical. Also, take everything I say with a grain of salt. This is all just my opinion, and I have only done minimal research into this topic. Do not take any of this as absolute fact.]

[Greeting. Call me ASH. Yes, that ASH, the one from Powder’s Precarious Pain Précis. I decided to make a blog of my own instead of just having the ask blog, as on the ask blog I am primarily limited to responding to asks, plus, dust and SnoW can see what I say there. They probably wouldn’t look at what I say, but in theory they could.]
[I am currently conducting research on different CCCC related universes. I decided to start this research after encountering four different CCCC ask blogs. Whilst the ones I have found do not describe themselves as AUs, they, by definition, are AUs, due to the fact that they are not part of the original CCCC universe. They may come from universes that have low degrees of separation from the main CCCC universe, or may even be set in identical copies of the main CCCC universe, however, as far as I can tell, none of them are truly in the main CCCC universe. Now, I clearly am not from from one of these main CCCC universe resemblant AUs, after all, the AU I am from is quite clearly an AU, it even describes itself as one, however, I do feel as though having a blog of my own could help with my research.]
[You’ve probably already guessed, but I’m my universe’s… Hmmm… I’m not quite sure what the correct term is. Let’s go with equivalent. I’m my universe’s equivalent to Mind, essentially, I’m the one who fills his role. Of course, the two of us are very different, but we fill the same role in our respective universes. That role would be “The logical side.”]
[Currently, aside from my own AU, the only AUs I am aware of are the 4c-heliosjunoatlas, cccc-ask-blog, ask-cccc, and cccc-ask AUs. If anyone would like to inform me of any others then please do.]
[It was already said on the ask blog, but I go by any pronouns. I do prefer she/it/they/he and some neopronouns though.]
[I quite like STEM topics, however on occasion I will permit myself to take breaks from my work and my research. In that free time I enjoy singing, quietly of course; drawing, though I’m not particularly good at it; some games, especially rhythm games and games with character creators; and watching multi-hour long YouTube iceberg videos about topics I have never heard of. Oh, and I occasionally sleep, drink water, or eat a small snack.]
[I may add more later, but we will see.]
