4/1/17 ~ Athens, Greece
Saturday we woke up pretty early, got breakfast in the hostel and headed to the Acropolis. On our walk there we stopped in tons of little shops because Athens had soo many. Once we finally made it up the hill we saw the Acropolis and Parthenon which were really cool. Next we went back down to the town and shopped around at the Flea Market. Jessica and I bought Greek outfits and wore them around the rest of the day. Later on we sat and got some drinks and ate outside at a cool restaurant. I tried gyros and they were amazing! Then we had to go to the airport to fly to Santorini!

3/31/17 ~ Athens, Greece
Friday was the start of our very last 10 day break! We flew to Athens, Greece and arrived late in the evening. Driving into the city of Athens was amazing because you could see the Acropolis up on the hill all light up. We got dropped off at our Hostel and immediately went out to eat at the restaurant right next to us. This was the first time I tried Greek food, which I love now! I had stuffed peppers and tasted some fried zucchini and tzatziki. The street we were staying on was so cute with string lights and cool restaraunts. They were playing Greek music and it had such a authentic feel. Athens was so much better than I expected it to be. We were really tired so we just went to bed after dinner.

3/25/17 ~ Amsterdam, Netherlands
Saturday we got brunch and went to the Anne Frank House. It was a 3 hour wait outside, but it went by fast because out of all 9 of us we could split up and walk around the town a little. We finally got it and t was such a great experience. I have always been really interested in Anne Frank’s story and the Holocaust since middle school, so it was really cool to actually be there in the house where they hid. We got to walk all through the house, see the rooms they were in, the famous bookcase that hid the door, and even her actual diary. After this, we did a canal tour of the city. Amsterdam was so much larger than I expected and such a great place to see, with tons of bikes everywhere. It’s actually kinda scary to walk around without feeling like your about to get hit lol. After dinner we went to a club that was sooo much fun. There were tons of lights, people and confetti! We stayed at the club until 6:30am and didn’t get back home until almost 8am because we had to look for Tommy who once again returned home the next morning lol. It was a really crazy night and I’ll never forget all the memories I made during my favorite weekend and one of my favorite places.

3/24/17 ~ Amsterdam, Netherlands
Woke up early and went to a really popular restaurant for huge pancakes (crepes), which are a big thing here! Next we walked around the town, saw The Fault in Our Stars Bridge, and took pictures in front of the famous Iamsterdam letters. Amsterdam is such a cool town and so pretty. Next we spontaneously decided to go Kuekenhof, one of the largest flower gardens in the world. I had seen pictures of the famous colorful fields for years now so I was really excited to go, especially because it was the first weekend they were in season. Unfortunately, not all the rows were bloomed so we only saw a couple on the drive in, but the place was still really cool and had other things to look at than just the fields. After this we had dinner and went to the Red Light district. It was pretty crazy to see all the girls in the windows, but the streets were packed and so much fun. We went to a bunch of bars and saw some interesting things..

3/23/17 ~ Amsterdam
We had no class on Friday so we got to take the train Thursday to Amsterdam. It was a 12 hour train with multiple connections. There were also a lot of delays and times getting messed up throughout our travels, but we finally made it! We checked in our hostel which was a little sketchy, but we made it work. We went to the famous “coffeeshop” The Bulldog, but we were a little too late, so we just got Wok to wok which was amazing and went to sleep!
