Andrew watches in mild interest as the new striker prospect heaves on his hands and knees, struggling to suck on air after Andrew's racket solidly divorced it from his lungs. He's a small thing, the striker (Neil, Neil, Neil), but Andrew knows all about being small.

He draws in a slow breath that one couldn't mistake for sniffing and lets the strikers scent settle along his soft palette. Oh, there's something wrong with this one.

"You smell that?" Andrew asks over his shoulder. Kevin watches with a twisted up frown from his spot on the entertainment center.

"You know I don't." Annoyance. Kevin's pathetic beta nose can't pick up the nuances that Andrew's can.

"Me either," Andrew says, his manic grin pulling wider. He wipes at it with one hand as Neil Josten, striker sub prospect, five foot three, brown eyes and brown hair, nineteen, forces himself back to his feet.

"Shut up," Neil wheezes. The soft perfume of his scent is almost like baby powder. Just barely there at all, something soft. It almost makes Andrew's gaze want to slide off Neil, like he's not really there. He forces himself to keep looking. Neil's face pales, his lips pressing into a thin, horrified line.

Andrew's fun ends when Coach busts into the locker room, and his scent takes over everything. Pity. Andrew leans back against the wall, watching as Kevin and Wymack corner the little striker into signing with PSU. Andrew hadn't thought that coming to Arizona would be so interesting.
