two of them have started being a bit more supportive but I'm definitely keeping distance from them and the other one... I haven't talked to her since and I don't plan on talking to her unless it's absolutely necessary... but I'm better now... it just mostly caught me offguard because they were really supportive when I came out as ace

Tried to come out to some friends over video chat and here's how it went.

Me: * tells my friends I have something I want to tell them and starts a video call*

Friend: *joins* So what was it that you wanted to tell us?

Me: So you're the only one who joined but okay... *deep breath* I use the name Ashton and my pronouns are he/him.

Friend: *awkward silence and then...* The group's been meaning to tell you something... You aren't a they or a he... your name is (dead name) and you're a she... it says so on your birth certificate...

Me: *surprise* No... I'm a guy... The name (dead name) makes me uncomfortable...
