                    while niylah had learned certain things while in trikru, it paled in comparison to the technology used by jackson and abby. there wasn’t much in the bunker, but the fatalities would be much higher without it. however, she takes octavia’s compliment, offering a small smile. ❝well, i do what i can.❞ she feels much more confident in her skills, and she knows now that she can be an asset to wonkru. ❝you already know that i’d do whatever possible to protect you.❞ not because of loyalty to blodreina, but because octavia is the last person in the bunker that she would ever want to lose. ❝however, i’m hoping once we take the valley that you won’t be so close to dying all the time.❞ it’s a joke, but at the same time, it isn’t. hopefully, once they come to some sort of agreement, abby could be brought back into the group. niylah would feel much less pressure about everyone’s health being in herself and jackson’s hands.

                    miller doesn’t know if what she’s saying is true or not. then again, he and octavia shared a special bond that didn’t exist with anyone else in the bunker. ❝i think we got lucky. we were the only two of the hundred down there.❞ he knows that octavia detests the fact that she was a prisoner on the ark after being locked under the floor, but it doesn’t change the fact that they both shared the experience of being the first hundred on the ground. spending time building their camp around the dropship and defending themselves against the grounders, it was an experience that nobody else shared. ❝it helped to have someone down there that i’d known from the very beginning.❞
