I’m just saying if Daniel Radcliffe, the literal protagonist of the Harry Potter franchise since the age of ten years old, was able to disavow JK Rowling and move on from the HP universe then actually what the fuck is anyone else’s excuse. There is no one else on the planet who can say their entire childhood was HP more than that guy and he still cared about trans people more than the average tumblr user who says “we’re protesting by making all her characters queer and trans!!” like you can do better. You should do better.

Just saw a woman talking about contracting AIDS at age 20 in 1990 due to her husband knowingly passing on the virus and the comments were repellently homophobic. Saying bullshit like “This is why DL men are so dangerous.” she hadn’t liked any of those comments and she had clarified that he went on to infect another woman later. She was trying to educate people on her experience as a heterosexual woman with an AIDS diagnosis and the comments still found a way to blame gay people and imply it is the fault of homosexuality. HIV transmission rates are now higher in the heterosexual population than the homosexual population due to education and protection. She thought she was safe because he was her husband but these women think they’re safe because they don’t date ‘DL men’. This is why education on the AIDS crisis, HIV transmission methods and gay history is so important. The stigma has never gone away and it is still detrimental to EVERYONE’S health.

"you don't owe anyone anything" You are a tar pit. Speak for yourself. I personally owe the cafe employees my dishes put away and my friends a listening ear and small scared insects a cup and a gentle trip outside. Hyperindividualism is a rancid infection borne of capitalism and willfully misinterpreted therapyspeak and I will defy it by continuing to be kind regardless of whether or not it benefits me personally

noticing that for mono relationships you hear stuff like "they weren't right for each other" or "it just didn't work out" but for poly relationships it's always "this is why I could never do polyamory"

Hey. Why isn’t the moon landing a national holiday in the US. Isn’t that fucked up? Does anyone else think that’s absurd?

Yeah so unfortunately, my friend was right. Muttering 'I'm gonna put on the greatest talent show this town has ever seen' darkly to myself is not only vastly funnier than saying I'm gonna kms, but is also somehow more concerning to anyone who might overhear it

I love that the internet saw people comparing women and other alienated groups of people and went, “they’re dating,” and, “they support each other.” We’re improving as a society.

From the media that brought you "Millennials are killing [insert industry here]" articles for years and years and years, now we have....
"Hey, Gen Z, we're gonna relabel vacations into something else now and tell you how you really should be wary of taking vacation because it might impact your financial future."
This is a goddamn dystopia, we know this, right?

i do think one way in which economics in anglophone countries makes you stupid is that probably any half-thoughtful ordinary person would look at how things like GDP are calculated and say "wait, I'm not sure it makes sense to say that things like banks charging overdraft fees or people flipping houses 'contributes' to the economy in the same way a factory turning raw materials into finished goods does", and the national accounting bodies of many socialist states would agree with you, but the average angloid economics grad will treat you like an ignorant peasant for having such heretical thoughts
