im about to kill someone or myself i just saw someone on the dnd subreddit say "rules are for gameplay, not narrative" (which in all fairness is not a take i should be surprised by) but like THE GAMEPLAY CREATES THE FUCKING NARRATIVE THATS HOW RPGS WORK
#they are games they are GAMES thry are FUCKING GAMES#as I have said in the past TTRPGs are largely composed of rules the way a novel is largely composed of prose#they are ludic experiences#what happens at the table is the emergent outcome of the rules and players interacting with each other#ugh I will beat this drum until I die#engage honestly with the medium!

I don't want to annoy you because i don't know why MiA is being brought up but isn't it an open secret that Tsukushi is at the very least a lolicon that likes and shares nsfw of his child characters?
An open secret among whom? I didn't know about this because i don't care about that sort of thing.
Does this mean the millions and millions of people who watched the anime adaptation and enjoyed it should be castigated as pedophiles and lose their livelihood if they make it online and eventually be driven into suicide? Because that's what log6 is endorsing happening to trans women on here.

any thoughts about vivziepop's "Homestuck"?
You are not compelled to form any opinion at all about this matter before you, not to disturb your peace of mind at all. Things in themselves have no power to extort a verdict from you.

Kinda wish I wasn't feeling more and more vindicated every day about calling it from the start that treating the AI issue like a moral crusade where you have like a moral obligation to prioritize signalling and reaffirming your hatred of generative AI at any possible chance would lead to a lot of ostensibly "progressive" people uncritically parroting extremely reactionary rhetoric.

The anti-trans hysteria du jour on perfidious Albion is that a retail employee who was trans asked a mother and child shopping at her store if they needed any help
That’s it

I gotta say having read a few more big-ish RPGs, I have more appreciation for how eureka is. 600 pages is a lot, yeah, and sure the editing is not done, but the flow of the book is just leaps and bounds across the other one I just read published by someone with much more prominence. I feel like if I opened eureka, I would both have a clear understanding of reading order and be pointed to what’s important, and be able to find all important information on a given topic easily. Vs this book, where I’m having to ctrl f to jump through to find any previous scraps of context around like, the whole lore basis for my class’ beliefs and practices
Thank you! We have our editor @ashweather to thank for that almost exclusively, she’s very serious about the order in which we present information.

“I always remember having this fight with a random dude who claimed that ‘straight white men’ were the only true innovators. His prime example for this was the computer… the computer… THE COMPUTER!!! THE COM-PU-TER!!!
Alan Turing - Gay man and ‘father of computing’ Wren operating Bombe - The code cracking computers of the 2nd world war were entirely run by women Katherine Johnson - African American NASA mathematician and ‘Human computer’ Ada Lovelace - arguably the 1st computer programmer”
- Sacha Coward
Also Margaret Hamilton - NASA computer scientist who put the first man on the moon - an as-yet-unmatched feet of software engineering, here pictured beside the full source of that computer programme. #myhero
Grace Hopper - the woman that coined the term “bug”
