Alesis HR-16 http://ift.tt/2hVfHYD
One of Alesis’s first drum machines. With 49 sounds including 10 kicks, 7 snares and a complete ethnic set all of which are 16 bit samples this drum machine is a great bargain! Its partner in crime is the MMT-8 sequencer. But the HR-16 has its own sequencer with 100 patterns and 100 songs available. The drum tones can be tuned, have individual level controls for mixing, and there is 16 voice polyphony which means up to 16 drum tones can be used within a pattern. Patterns are programmed in either step or real-time. With external click inputs and Midi, the HR-16 is capable of integrating your older drum machines or sequencers with Midi systems! The drum sounds, however, are pretty cheesy.
Alesis HR-16B
The updated HR-16B model had lots of new sounds cool for enough techno and electronic music. And it still costs about the same price. It is possible that some HR-16’s may have been modified to use the HR-16B’s ROM chip to get those sounds. The HR-16 is gray and the HR-16B is black. Either one makes a handy little drum machine that’s so cheap these days that it is more than worth adding to your studio – it just might come in handy one day. It is used by Orbital, The Grid, Autechre, Sub Dub and the Stereo MC’s.

Yamaha DTX520K http://ift.tt/2jwkZxC
Utilizing the TCS head for superior stick feel, the XP80 provides snare head, open rimshot, and closed rimshot voices in each of the three zones for authentic snare expression. The ride and crash cymbals both feature cup, bow and edge voices and are “choke-able”. The realistic sounds of the DTX500 module lets you sound your best, and with the advanced practice tools and easy song recorder you will be getting better all the time.
DTX-PADs – For Quiet Practice that Improves Technique
After years of designing and manufacturing some of the world’s finest drums, Yamaha knows what it means for drums to feel good and play naturally. Yamaha designed the DTX-PAD to be the new standard in electronic drum pads, providing drummers with a pad that feels good, offers playability that is as close as possible to acoustic drums, and is exceptionally quiet. Teaming up with the world’s top drummers to satisfy their demanding sense of perfection, Yamaha focused their knowledge and experience and created the DTX-PAD. This next generation drum pad allows for true development of acoustic drumming techniques. The DTX520K utilizes the DTX-PAD for the snare, with authentic stick response and ability to play open/closed rim shots essential for snare performance.
Legendary Yamaha Sound Quality for All Your Drum Kits
The DTX500 drum trigger module features Yamaha’s high-quality tone generator with realistic acoustic drum, cymbal, and percussion sounds. You get the sounds of hi-end oak, maple, beech and birch drums, with details like velocity-switching samples (that changes sound characteristic as you play harder) so you will feel like you are listening to a “live” set of drums. The 50 preset kits are ready for you to perform a wide range of music styles, and you can select your favorite sounds to create custom user kits, and add digital reverb effects and master EQ to sweeten the sound. While the DTX-PADs provide an authentic drum feel, the DTX500 drum trigger module provides you with amazingly realistic drum sounds. Using digital sound technology derived from the MOTIF ES synthesizer, these instruments come alive from under your sticks, directly responding to your dynamic performance with full musical expression.
Play Along With Musical Practice Songs
The songs of the DTX520K let you play along in different styles with or without the recorded drum track, solo the bass player, or with the full ensemble to make playing fun and practicing seem more like a band rehearsal.
Practical Tools that Improve your Groove
Yamaha’s popular groove tools have set the standard for educational functions that are not only easy and fun to use, but actually help you become a better drummer. The DTX520K has a collection of training functions including the popular Groove Check that displays whether you are playing early or late, so you can more easily correct undesirable habits. Rhythm Gate is like a drumming game that automatically mutes the sound if you playing is too far out of time, so you quickly learn to control your groove and play “in the pocket”. Practice has never been this much fun!
3-Zone Cymbals with “Choke” Feature Deliver Realistic Expression
The cymbals of the DTX520K feature our advanced 3-zone cymbal pads which can express a different sound in each of the cup, bow and edge zones.
Expressive Hi-Hat System for Advanced Performance
The DTX520K features a hi-hat system that uses a remote hi-hat pedal controller (included with the kit) and trigger pad to provide realistic hi-hat expression. The pedal and pad can be located anywhere around the kit, much like the popular remote cable hi-hat systems for acoustic drums. Moreover, the hi-hat can express various styles of play such as open/close position, closed pedal and foot splash. You can even play tip and edge voices for adding subtle nuances to the beat!
AUX INPUT Connection to Play Along With Your Favorite Tunes
The DTX520K includes an audio input for connecting an external music player to the module so you can play along with your favorite music, either though the main output or in your headphones, so you can quickly master the piece you want to learn note for note.
Programmable Click Tracks with the Hi-Performance Metronome
The DTX520K is equipped with a high-performance, programmable metronome made for drummers that allows complicated rhythms and tones to be set.
Impressive Expandability and Upgrades – Add up to Four Pads
The DTX520K gives you peace of mind, too. Even after purchasing the kit, you can expand by adding up to four pads if you want more toms, cymbals or a double-bass configuration. All kinds of upgrades including support for the DTX-PADs are possible.
MIDI Connection Offers More Possibilities
The DTX500 trigger module is equipped with a MIDI output port for connecting the kit to additional devices or a computer* for music production applications. *Computer connection requires MIDI interface (ex: Yamaha UX16 USB-MIDI Interface)
RS500 Ergonomic Rack System with Real Drum Hardware
The RS500 rack for the DTX520K/DTX540K uses curved steel pipes for a compact setup that offers durable stability, and features a ball clamp that lets you precisely position the snare pad.

The DM6 has headphone and amplifier outputs so you can play quietly in phones or connect up and rock out. You can also connect your iPod or CD player and mix it in with the DM6’s stereo input jack.

The kit also comes with a full set of mounting hardware and cables, as well as rugged kick drum and hi-hat pedals.

Roland R8 http://ift.tt/2jwuPiS
One of the very best drum machines ever. It has excellent sounds which can be expanded by adding additional sound cards (808 and 909 cards). Great rock, electronic, ethnic and industrial style drum kits! Most of the sounds are editable – tune, decay, attack, nuance, output, etc…
But its coolest tricks are the Feel Patches which give your program a human-like groove! The sounds are ROM based samples, the R-8 has 32 note polyphony, 68 instruments, 100 patterns and 10 songs! The R-8 later became the R-8mkII with more memory and sounds. It is used by Orbital, Underworld, Jimmy Edgar, Autechre, 808 State, Dave Holmes, Fluke, Human League and The Shamen.

Some things never change like classic timeless design of a DAUZ drum pad. We have made the same road worthy electronic drum pads for years setting performance and affordability standards. Dauz pads are designed and made by drummers . Product that works no hype, no crap pure utility. We make durable great feeling classic gum rubber drum pads used by discriminating professionals world wide We offer five different pads all of the highest made in USA quality with different feels and sizes for any application. You need to check them out .
Drummers get ready, the future of performance is in your hands. What once was an odd novelty sound effect, has matured into a valuable music making tool. Electronic drums, Computers and MIDI have given drummers the opportunity to express themselves in a cost effective, performance, and studio friendly manner. MIDI devices are part of every studio today, and if you’re involved with a project on a limited budget, a electronic drum kit might just win you the job. Drum trigger units from Alternate Mode, Roland,Alesis,Yamaha, Ion, and others are a great starting point for any electronic drum setup.Add a pad configuration of your choice, giving you a virtually unlimited expressive potential, a small price to pay to turn those years of practice into valuable midi data other musicians can use. This is the real power of electronic drums ; their ability to send and receive data to and from other midi devices . Another bonus of these drum trigger units are, that they sound great right out of the box. With hundreds of sounds, so close to acoustics they might just make Gene Krupa roll over in his grave!
IMPORTANT ELECTRONIC DRUM FEATURES
Electronic drums are comprised of two components the brain or trigger module, and the pads what the user plays on. What is important in a drum pad?
IMPORTANT PAD FEATURES
1)FEEL. A soft natural gum rubber pad will give the best feel, quietest response and a natural rebound (Compare for yourself) A stiff non resilient pad will only hinder your playing and desire to perform.
2)DURABILITY is not far behind feel .Pads should be proven to take abuse and last a lifetime .(What big tours use them? You wont see tours choosing product that doesn’t hold up. )
3)ACCESSIBILITY. Can you get to the parts if a problem occurs or do you have to ship them back to the manufacturer? This is a major issue, there is nothing worse than a broken pad wire you cant get to.
4)MOUNTING. Can you position your pads in any place at any angle? Most manufacturers choose off the shelf acoustic drum hardware giving less flexibility in mounting .Remember electronic drums are not acoustic and have a whole different set of dilemmas in mounting.
5) PAD NOISE. There is nothing more annoying to someone listening to someone bash away at a loud electronic drum set. Kind of defeats a lot of the purpose of playing on pads. Often referred to as the quietest pads around even quieter than mesh heads.
8)PRICE.There isn’t much inside a electronic drum pad. You pay for the design the way it mounts, the way it feels, the way it responds and the reputation of the company who makes them. Use your own judgement .

Roland TD-30K http://ift.tt/2zmmxx2
For over a decade, Roland’s revolutionary V-Drums® have lead the industry in expressive sound quality and incredible playability. With the introduction of the SuperNATURAL®-powered TD-30K V-Pro Series, the electronic drum set reaches a new pinnacle in drumming performance. SuperNATURAL sounds with Behavior Modeling, along with advanced sensing technology, provides a new level of expressive sound quality and playability, resulting in an instrument that reacts and responds to all the subtleties, nuances, and dynamics of a drummer’s technique. In addition, USB audio-playback functionality has been added to expand the performance palette. For the stage or for professional recording, the new V-Pro is truly a complete and natural drumming experience.
Flagship V-DrumsÂŽ with advanced sensing technology and SuperNATURALÂŽ sounds
Expressive and accurate playability produced by Behavior Modeling
Professional V-Edit mode for customizing sounds
Dedicated “Ambiance” fader with new room-ambiance and overhead-mic simulation
USB memory port for data backup and audio playback (WAV/MP3)
Separate USB-MIDI port for computer connectivity
Compact, solid drum stand (MDS-12V) for professional studio requirements
New lightweight 10-inch V-Pad (PDX-100) for toms
Hi-hat stand and kick pedal not included and shown only for photography purposes. Connection cables are partially hidden for photography purposes.
TD-30 Drum Sound Module with SuperNATURALÂŽ Sounds
Powered by SuperNATURAL sounds and Behavior Modeling, the TD-30K offers superior sound quality and natural response. From rim shots, rolls, flams, even ghost notes on the snare to dramatic crash hits and sustained cymbal swells, every nuance is accurate and smooth. For spatial depth, a dedicated Ambiance fader gives you immediate control over lush room ambiance and overhead-microphone simulation.
Immense Know-how and Advanced Sensing Technology
The 12-inch PD-125BK mesh V-Pad™ for snare drum features Roland’s amazing dual-triggering technology, resulting in accurate and even sensing between the head and rim. The PDX-100 10-inch mesh head V-Pad for toms provides a dual-mount option for increased setup versatility.
Natural Triggering with Double Pedal Support
The KD-120BK 12-inch V-Kick Trigger Pad offers fast, natural kick-drum triggering and is compatible with double bass pedals (sold separately). The head tension can be adjusted to get the right feel, and the legs feature rubber tips with hidden spikes that can be pointed downward for more stability.

V-Hi-HatÂŽ for Realistic Feel
With eyes closed, drummers will think they’re playing a regular two-piece hi-hat. But examine the innovative VH-11 floating hi-hat, and you’ll see that it’s actually comprised of one floating cymbal pad atop a fixed lower base. Great for fast setup and easy transport, the VH-11 mounts on conventional hi-hat stands, and provides a similar playing feel to a two-piece hi-hat.
*Hi-hat stand not included.
V-CymbalsÂŽ for Crash and Ride
With optimized weight-balance and sensitivity, the V-Cymbal Crash provides accurate triggering and a natural swinging motion and for consistent crash performance, including choke control. The enlarged bow area of the V-Cymbal Ride enhances the playing feel, with accurate three-way triggering for edge, bow, and bell.
Compact, Solid Drum Stand
The MDS-12V drum rack has been specifically designed for the TD-30K. It provides flexible ball clamps for snare and toms, boom/straight options for the cymbal arms, and an internal cable management system for a clean professional look.

Yamaha DTX560SP http://ift.tt/2wWD5xh
This kit has all the benefits of the DTX500 module including Yamaha drum samples, play-along songs, and comprehensive groove tools. The DTX-PAD snare provides superior stick feel and allows head, rimshot, and cross-stick voices in each of the three zones for realistic expression. The DTX560SP includes a pad set (DTP700P), drum trigger module (DTX500) and rack system (RS500). Because this configuration does not include cymbals or hi-hat it is perfect when adding electronics to your acoustic kit or for use with the gen16 AE Cymbal box sets. Trigger and audio cables not included.
The DTX560SP utilizes a 3-zone XP80 DTX-PAD for the snare, with single-zone XP70 DTX-PADs for the toms.
The songs of the DTX560SP let you play along in different styles with or without the recorded drum track, solo the bass player, or with the full ensemble to make playing fun and practicing seem more like a band rehearsal.
Practical Tools that Improve your Groove
Yamaha’s popular groove tools have set the standard for educational functions that are not only easy and fun to use, but actually help you become a better drummer. The DTX560SP has a collection of training functions including the popular Groove Check that displays whether you are playing early or late, so you can more easily correct undesirable habits. Rhythm Gate is like a drumming game that automatically mutes the sound if you playing is too far out of time, so you quickly learn to control your groove and play “in the pocket”. Practice has never been this much fun!
AUX INPUT Connection to Play Along With Your Favorite Tunes
The DTX560SP includes an audio input for connecting an external music player to the module so you can play along with your favorite music, either though the main output or in your headphones, so you can quickly master the piece you want to learn note for note.
Programmable Click Tracks with the Hi-Performance Metronome
The DTX560SP is equipped with a high-performance, programmable metronome made for drummers that allows complicated rhythms and tones to be set.
Impressive Expandability and Upgrades – Add up to Seven Pads
The DTX560SP gives you peace of mind, too. Even after purchasing the kit, you can expand by adding up to seven pads if you want more toms, electronic cymbal pads or a double-bass configuration. All kinds of upgrades including support for the DTX-PADs are possible.
RS500 Ergonomic Rack System with Real Drum Hardware
The RS500 rack for the DTX560SP uses curved steel pipes for a compact setup that offers durable stability, and features a Yamaha ball clamp that lets you precisely position the snare pad.

Alesis DM8 USB Kit http://ift.tt/2jg84Q0
Compact, quiet, quick to set up, with true, natural sound, the DM8 USB Kit brings Alesis quality to drummers and studios. Whether you need quiet practice, tracking quickly into software, or fast on-stage setup, the DM8 USB Kit is a perfect choice.
[easyazon_block add_to_cart=”default” align=”left” asin=”B00F5OG37K” cloaking=”default” layout=”left” localization=”default” locale=”US” nofollow=”default” new_window=”default” tag=”electroni06ce-20″]
TRUE SOUND
The DM8 USB Kit features the barrier-shattering DM8 high-definition drum module with Dynamic Articulation™. Our latest drum module in a line now spanning 20 years, the DM8 builds on the success of the top-of-the-line DM10. The DM8 shares the DM10’s essential architecture, including playback of genuine recordings of real drums and cymbals and advanced Dynamic Articulation™ multi-samples.
You’ll find the DM8 to be packed with over 750 first-call studio and live drums and cymbals, dozens of play-along tracks, and an advanced metronome for practice and performance. The DM8 features professional audio and trigger inputs and outputs including USB MIDI for expansive flexibility and connection to a wide range of sounds and controllers.
It’s an ultra-compact module, which means integrating components of the DM8 USB Kit – or the entire setup – into acoustic drum setups and percussion rigs is easy and comfortable. Imagine adding electronic, percussion and rare, ethnic sounds without giving up the organic, primal power of an acoustic set.
Never before has so much power been offered in a drum module this compact, at such an affordable price.
QUIET DOWN
Whether you want to practice late night, or just keep the studio noise down, the rubberized pads of the DM8 USB Kit keep the acoustic noise down, while still giving you the ability to crank it up!
The DM8 USB Kit features a dual-zone snare, three toms, and a rugged kick pad. You can use virtually any single or double kick pedal for the pedal feel you prefer. The snare and tom pads mount on standard 10.5mm L-rods with low-slip, knurled mounting surfaces. The DM8 USB Kit comes with a compact 8-inch Hi-Hat with continuous-control pedal, a 12-inch Crash with choke, and a large 14-inch dual-zone Ride.
GREAT LOOK
Everyone knows it can be tough to be seen on stage when you’re a drummer. You’re in the back, usually with no lights. And forget about being able to dance. That’s why our designers took great pains to make the DM8 USB Kit look as great as it feels and sounds. You’ll notice the sleek lines of the DM8, bathed in Raw Aluminum painted finish, which just might match your MacBook Pro, iPad, iPod, or iPhone.
COMPACT CONFIGURATION
Drummers know that hardware can make or break a kit. But what’s ideal for tour – oversized, overweight stands – aren’t necessary in the studio, where space can be at a premium. That’s why we designed the DM8 USB Kit’s DMRack to take up minimal space yet offer stability, durability, and total position flexibility.
This rugged, four-post rack features 1 1/2-inch metal tubes for universal compatibility and sturdiness. The clamps on the DMRack adjust with large wingscrews for easy, tool-less adjustments with no drumkey needed. Mini-boom cymbal arms help get your cymbals right where you want them.
SET ON UP
Besides size and noise, one of the requests we hear the most from drummers is that they hate building a rack from scratch. That’s why the DMRack comes pre-assembled in the box. We love to listen to what drummers have to say, and we’re happy to help save time and effort getting the kit from the boxes to read-to-play!
The DM8 USB Kit is quiet, compact, and ready to rock with amazing sounds. Take one for a test drive at your favorite Alesis dealer.

ddrum http://ift.tt/2gTHw2K
Ddrum is a division of Armadillo Enterprises, Inc. that manufactures drums, percussion, and electronic drum triggers.
Ddrum was originally a brand of Clavia, makers of the Nord series of keyboards and synthesizers. In 2005 ddrum was sold to Armadillo[1] who expanded the brand from only electronic drums into a wider range of products.
[easyazon_block add_to_cart=”default” align=”left” asin=”B003JME2IC” cloaking=”default” layout=”left” localization=”default” locale=”US” nofollow=”default” new_window=”default” tag=”electroni06ce-20″]
Ddrum is a sister company to Dean guitars and produces drums that fall into one of several series, each following a motif of beginning with the letter “d” and grouped according to quality and materials used in construction. In addition, ddrum is one of several manufacturers that offers customers the ability to customize their own kit from a number of criteria including shell dimensions, finish, and hardware options in what they call the “USA Custom Shop.”
USA Custom Shop – a custom kit with many different options, including a few wood selections vinnie paul kit– 6-piece kits in skull flame graphics carmine appice kit – 4-piece signature kit with orange finish Dios – available in African Bubinga and North American Walnut and Maple Diaton – acrylic shells Dominator – Maple Shells Dorian – Ash and Maple shells Dominion – available in Ash and Maple in several configurations hybrid – available in 5 and 6-piece setups reflex chrome – 5-piece kit AMX – maple/ash combination shell packs from four to eight piece configurations Defiant – basswood pre-configured double bass kits Diablo – Basswood shells available in several configurations D2 – entry-level series available in Mahogany shells 4SE – electronic kit aimed at intermediate players
Signature snare drums include Travis Smith‘s signature snare with custom drum wraps by Rockenwraps and Mike Marsh‘s signature stainless steel snare with a laser engraved finish.
Other snare drums include the Hand Hammered Bronze snare, Birdseye Maple snare, and the solid steel “Grey Ghost” snare drum among many others.
ddrum also produces deccabons, which are similar in concept to octobans, except that there are ten drums in a full set (hence “decca”) as opposed to eight (“octo”). All deccabons are six inches in diameter. They are available with shells made from either clear acrylic or black fiberglass. Drum depths range from 6 inches to 24 inches in 2-inch increments.
Supplies of DDrum kits outside the USA, particularly to the UK, are sparse with long wait times for customers who pre-order kits such as the 7-piece Diablo Death Punx.
Ddrum also makes two different styles of electronic drum triggers, the Pro Acoustic Trigger and more affordable Red Shot Trigger. They also make an electronic drum brain, dd1m.

This kit includes the new DTX700 module featuring 1,268 percussive voices, 64MB of Flash-ROM for loading new sounds, and USB connectivity. The DTX-PADs provide superior feel around the entire kit, and the snare features 3-zones for dynamic head, rimshot, and cross-stick play. The DTX700SP includes a pad set (DTP700P), drum trigger module (DTX700) and rack system (RS500). Because this configuration does not include cymbals or hi-hat it is perfect when adding electronics to your acoustic kit or for use with the gen16 AE Cymbal box sets. Trigger and audio cables not included.
The DTX700SP utilizes a 3-zone XP80 DTX-PAD for the snare, with single-zone XP70 DTX-PADs for the toms.
Yamaha’s Natural Sound Keeps It Real
The DTX700 drum trigger module is packed with high quality acoustic drum, cymbal, and percussion voices (featuring our legendary Yamaha drums) as well as a collection of sounds from the MOTIF XF synthesizer. There is a wide variety of preset kits and you can easily customize the sounds yourself. These kits are extremely realistic down to the smallest details (including snare buzz and tom resonance) so that you will feel like you are listening to a set of acoustic drums. With 1,268 naturally sampled acoustic drum and percussion voices, the DTX700 module will bring out your best drum playing by allowing you to focus on your performance.
Easily Import Your Favorite Sample Sounds
You can add up to 64MB of new sounds to the DTX700SP by importing wave samples directly into the module via the USB device port.
Songs that Teach the Student and Inspire the Professional
The songs of the DTX700SP let you play along with or without the pre-recorded drum track, with just the bass player, or with the full ensemble to make playing and practicing seem more like a real band rehearsal.
Practical Tools that Improve your Groove
Yamaha’s popular groove tools have set the standard for educational functions that are not only easy and fun to use, but actually help you become a better drummer. The DTX700SP has a collection of training functions including the popular Groove Check that displays whether you are playing early or late, so you can more easily correct undesirable habits. Rhythm Gate is like a drumming game that automatically mutes the sound if you playing is too far out of time, so you quickly learn to control your groove and play “in the pocket”. Practice has never been this much fun!
AUX INPUT Connection to Play Along With Your Favorite Tunes
The DTX700SP includes an audio input for connecting an external music player to the module so you can play along with your favorite music, either though the main output or in your headphones, so you can quickly master the piece you want to learn note for note.
Programmable Click Tracks with the Hi-Performance Metronome
The DTX700SP is equipped with a high-performance, programmable metronome made for drummers that allows complicated rhythms and tones to be set.
Expand Your Kit by adding more Pads
The DTX700SP gives you peace of mind, too. Even after purchasing the kit, you can expand by adding up to six additional pads if you want more toms, electronic cymbal pads or a double-bass configuration. All kinds of upgrades including support for the DTX-PADs are possible.
Easy PC Connection and Storage with USB
The USB “HOST” port allows connection to a PC* using a single USB cable (sold separately) for sending MIDI data to music software such as Steinberg’s “Cubase AI” (included). Use the USB “DEVICE” port for importing MIDI and audio from the computer into the module and for backing up your user data. * The USB-MIDI DRIVER must be installed in order to connect the DTX700 to your PC.
Quiet Bass Pedal Option
The optional HH65 can be used as a bass drum pedal, letting you practice more quietly, so you can play regardless of time or place.
Yamaha’s Exclusive Original Trigger Functions
With the DTX700SP, up to four different sounds can be layered on any single pad. The “stack” function allows those sounds to be reproduced simultaneously, and the “alternate” function allows the four sounds to activate in sequence. The Pad Song function lets you trigger MIDI patterns from the pads to add spice to your playing or even control the digital effects. Using these functions together allows you to achieve a performance that’s full of originality. This is something no acoustic drum kit can match.
Efficient Rack Systems with Real Drum Hardware
The RS500 rack for the DTX700SP uses curved steel pipes for a compact setup that offers durable stability, and features a Yamaha ball clamp that lets you precisely position the snare pad.
