After being separated all this time with age, marriages, deaths, divorces, and, children, these two look absolutely ecstatic to see each other again. Despite how it ended the last time, Hayato was delighted that Esther finally contacted him.

Esther distanced herself and over time Hayato tried to find her love in others. Hayato, realized Esther was the only one for him. To him, she was the most kindest and beautiful woman he's ever seen in his life, and, he wanted to do better and be by her side again.

He really fucked up and understands this time he would have to work extra hard for her trust and love again. Also, that bribing someone that you love, especially after rejecting their love in the past, to marry you, is a no go!

One night he confided in his friend Tianming about the whole situation and mentioned that he thought he wasn't good enough for her, to which he replied, "to do better and be better then". Simple as that!

Esther, didn't have time for all of that and had enough. Hayato did not stop from chasing after her. He kept blowing up her phone every other day and sent her gifts while she was married. Esther didn't give a fuck though. The texts were ignored and not a single gift was opened. She stayed faithful and loyal to her spouse and was not impressed nor amused by any of that.

Esther ignored him for some time and the calls doubled after she filed for divorce from her unfaithful spouse. Her and Hayato reunited after finding out how much trouble he was getting into and decided to reach out to him..to patch things up.

Hayato invited Esther back to his place so they could talk more about their feelings and thoughts in a more closed area.

They worked out any and all concerns and misunderstandings of the past.

After the death of Hayato's husband, Kenzo, he contacted Esther, not only to grieve for their past lover's death, but also questioned why it seems like nobody loves him? He asked her to try and make their relationship work. For the love they had for Kenzo, and for each other.

Esther decided to give it a shot. If she were to be honest with herself, never really stopped loving him anyways.
