Katherine's constant teasing and refusal to understand and appreciate Amara's difficult situation was getting on her nerves. She'd only met two of her doppelgangers, but she sincerely hoped that Katherine was the only one like this. She seemed so uncaring and cold. Amara stuck her chin up, determined to not give her doppelganger the satisfaction of knowing she was getting to her. Following the younger human into the diner, her eyes scanned around the room curiously, searching around, though she wasn't looking for anything in particular.
The chairs were arranged strangely, and Amara wasn't entirely sure she was allowed to sit, until Katherine took a seat. Then again, she didn't seem like someone who tended to follow any rules. Regardless, the eldest was tired of walking. She needed to relax and eat something. She took a seat opposite Katherine and her hues scanned the room once more.
Quickly, she looked to her doppelganger. Creasing her brows, she contemplated whether or not to give Katherine more reason to mock her, before realising that she really didn't care. It was clear she was going to act this way either way, so why be uninformed and ridiculed if you're going to be mocked anyway?
"How do we obtain the food?"

The impatient doppelganger awaited her response —- Eyebrows raising, was she really going to make her starve to death?
—-But when she subjected to such peer pressure, Katerina felt a wave of relief upon herself. Small sighs —- , but the enjoyment she felt inside did not completely remove the cold hues. Letting out a small scoff, pulling back the need to laugh at Amara. Her clueless self seemed to have never failed to make Katherine chuckle underneath her breath, ——- Because surely the idea of not knowing anything at all of the new world brought her something to joke about, to laugh about. And Amara was the next target to poke fun upon.
Rolling her eyes, she opened the diner door and headed to a booth. Having Amara follow behind her, Katherine sat at the far end of the cafe. Slouching herself against the hard cushion, an unfriendly smirk following her originator.

Amara's lips were curved slightly by a small smile. "My mother used to tell me I was too hopeful. Too naive. A lot of people used to tell me that, actually," recalled the human as she thought about Bonnie's statement. "I used to believe everything would work out just fine in the end... I suppose it's impossible to have that attitude after spending over 2000 years in Hell."
Knowing that Bonnie was suffering through this purely because Amara passed it onto her, even if it was unwilling, Amara was determined to help Bonnie. There was also the small fact that Amara had nothing else. She had no purpose, no reason to be alive, yet she had to stay that way now. There were no family or friends, no Silas, hardly any knowledge of the modern world or how to get by in it. Helping Bonnie could be something for the brunette to cling onto and work at.
"The truth would be that it isn't bearable. When more than one die at a time... The pain combines. And then you have the cases in which even than two more pass through you... I once had an entire bloodline pass through me, all within the space of an hour," the last statement left her lips in a whisper. It pained her to talk about. It was hard to think about any of this without vivid, painful memories returning to her, haunting her. The human cleared her throat, before gently and cautiously reaching for Bonnie's hand. She took it lightly and looked into the other's eyes. "Bonnie, I have no doubts that you will make it through this. It will be... difficult. Extremely difficult, actually. But... I felt your death, too. I saw you as you passed on. You're a fighter, Bonnie Bennett. You won't give into this and you will not bow down. You can do this," she spoke, clutching the former witch's hand tighter. "I'll try help you."

A small, humorless laugh slipped past her lips and she nodded a few times. “Yeah well there’s one thing I’ve learned over and over even in the short life I lived—life isn’t fair.” She never really understood the phrase when she was little and heard adults say it, because at that age life was just something to experience in any way she could dream up of because everything seemed possible.
Now she was stuck as a ghost who was walking amongst the living as if she’d never died and she knew she should be grateful, and she was, but at the same time it was just another thing to have to deal with. She was forced to endure pain far greater than the pain of her own death for the rest of her life; and as far as she knew that would last forever seeing as she was still technically a ghost. She couldn’t live a normal life, not really. Ghosts didn’t age. Would it work that way for her too? God, she really needed to stop thinking about all of this and just try to be happy.
“Tell me the truth,” she replied. She didn’t want to hear it but she needed to so she could let the weight of what she was in for sink in. She needed to hear it so she could accept it and just move on because there was nothing she could do. “I need to hear it. I just want to be able to move on from this and just be alive.” Though her existence suddenly felt very futile. Her magic was gone, that had been the reason they’d all been asking for her before this happened. They didn’t need her anymore. “Maybe this was a mistake..” She muttered the words, more to herself than for Amara.

Despite Katherine's clear dislike of her, Amara was still trying her hardest to be polite. The years she'd spent as a handmaid had taught her to simply grit her teeth and deal with whatever she was handed. Amara walked slightly behind her doppelganger, her steps somehow seeming as if she considered each one with great care. Upon hearing Katherine's voice, she canted her head slightly.

Food. It had been something Amara had been getting very little of since she'd come back to life. Though stopping wasn't something she wanted, a low growl escaped her stomach before she could protect. Soft lips let out a small exhale.
"Very well. We'll go and eat. In... there," Amara looked to the diner, furrowing her brows as she examined the building.
{ ask-amara }
Placing one foot after another, Katherine walked the streets of Mystic Falls in search of her bothersome doppelgänger. After she had already made a deal with Amara, it was in her duty to help find Elena. Because with Elena, came Bonnie, and well… The rest was self explanatory.

❝ Look, Amara —❞ With the turn of her left foot, she motioned her body around to face her. ❝ —- I know we said we were going to try to find Elena, so she can find Bonnie to kill you and all… But we could at least stop for something to eat. ❞ Her words escaped her as a hiss, with the thought of food driving her mad. Raising her brows, she gestured her arm to the diner that they stood next to.

Honestly, this means so, so much. I was really worried about making an Amara because I know a lot of people in the fandom were refusing to rp with Amara's (idk why rlly, but their choice, i guess) and it means so damn much that some people actually do like how I portray her and are willing to give me a chance :')
This has made me smile so much, so thank you, nonnie, I do try my hardest to give her a personality and her own issues outside of what little, plot-hole ridden things we were given on the show. (which reminds me, I need to write up her bio soonish)
So, thank you, thank you, thank you :')

Amara nodded as Elena informed her that they would, in fact, be travelling in the big, metal wheely things. The eldest of the two observed Elena's actions and mirrored them. Though this, she managed to enter the car and locate the seat belt, as well as fasten it on.
Her curious eyes searched the interior, taking everything in. This was all so new to her, so exciting. She didn't dare touch anything, though. She didn't want to irritate Elena or end up doing something bad. It was then that she began to think about where they were going.
"What clothes do you think I should buy?"

Elena gave her a confused gaze at her question.
Big, metal wheely things? Just as she was about to respond, Amara seemed to remember the word, and she took pride in the fact that she even remembered the term.
“Yeah.” Elena gave a nod, “We are actually.”
The doppelganger unlocked her car, and hopped in the driver’s seat, “Just remember to put on your seat-belt..” She told the 2000 year old woman.
