Ah, okay, so this is OOC but tonight was when I found this blog for the first time. And I must say, scrolling through all of it, I love how faithfully you portray Haseo and the gang, as well how you creatively you handle some of the asks this blog gets. I also love your art style! c: The idea of this blog being permanently kaput is saddening, but I can totally understand if you’ve just drifted away from the fandom by this point. I just wanted to say thanks for giving us what we have here. ^^

OOC: So this is a ridiculously late answer from me, and you’ve probably forgotten ever sending this by now, but thank you. In my last post here, I mentioned wanting to come back from a hiatus, but as bad luck would have it, shortly after that my computer died and I lost a lot of work. I took that as a sign it wasn’t meant to be, but really enjoyed running this blog while it lasted, and appreciate all the support and kind words people gave.

The main reason I stopped posting is a difficult one, and it’s because I was pressured into it by someone close to me (who I actually met through our shared love for .hack//G.U.). They were jealous of the positive attention I was getting. Looking back, I wish I’d ignored them and kept doing whatever I wanted. PSA, if someone tells you to quit a fun harmless hobby just because they say so, that’s a red flag!

I’ve since deleted all .hack related posts from my main blog, and deleted/orphaned the fanfiction I used to write, but these asks are one thing I’ll never get rid of. I’m not sure if anyone will read this, but it’s nice to have closure I suppose, rather than the usual ‘and so they mysteriously vanished and never posted again’.

OOC: So hey, it’s been...literally years since I updated, but like a lot of .hack fans, the release of Last Recode has made me nostalgic, and trawling through my old PC I found a few asks I’d started replies to but never posted. So if anyone is still interested, I’ll put those up, and we’ll see how it goes from there. This isn’t a full-scale revival, but it’s something?

P.S. Please don’t send any Last Recode asks, because unless it gets a big price drop in the next Steam sale, sorry to say I won’t get to play it anytime soon. All I’m aware of is that Haseo gets a new outfit which is every bit as ridiculous as his previous ones.

Hi, this is a question for the mun. How did you learn to memorize all of Haseo's details on his clothes? Is there a reference you use or did you just naturally memorize it over time? Thanks!

By now I’ve naturally memorized most of his details - for Xth form, anyway, since that’s what I draw most often. When I do need to reference something, my favorite source is the .hack//Archives 02 Black artbook (though I don’t have the actual book, just scans of it). It shows all the major and minor characters’ designs, plus Avatars, weapons and pretty much everything else in The World, so it’s really helpful.

OOC: About the part-time job thing, I was browsing through the .hack//Roots episodes and in one of the earlier ones, Haseo and Shino make a small mention on how he has a part-time job at a store. I forgot which episode it was, but it was where the Brigade started searching for Virus Cores.

I’ve heard that before, but nobody’s ever told me which episode. I kept an eye out the last time I rewatched Roots, and didn’t spot it, so maybe different versions have different translations of the line, or something like that?
