"Colonel? There's no way I can be around when they go off?" "No, Carter." "Yeah okay... It's kinda like sending your own child off to war without you."
carter is a golden retriever who's somehow gotten a hold of high power explosives

hi! I'm really stuck on Carter lately, if you're still taking requests I'd love something where Carter's working on some kind of chemical experiment where he's not supposed to, and it blows up all over him and Klink.. and Hogan's there like a disappointed father
hogan can forgive questionable chemical experiments, but he draws the line at a bad lie -- carter will have some explaining to do back at the barracks! (...doubly so when lebeau sees what happened to his pot)

HELLO STAR TREK FANS
I found subs of this, so here is a not-really-Star-Trek-but-you-know edit for you
Context: In 1964, the TV series The Man from U.N.C.L.E. had an episode (s1 e9 - The Project Strigas Affair) starring both William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy as secondary characters. This is literally how the two met for the first time.
Some scenes might look confusing without watching the full episode, but I left them because they were funny.
BONUS: in the first scene where Shatner and Nimoy appear together in their career, as part of the mission, Michael (Shatner) is supposed to act as a specific persona at the party:
As you can see in the video, Michael does it pretty well! He gets drunk! He flirts with a woman! And then…
??????????
LOL (no, I don't think I'll ever get over this)

"I watch hogan's heroes for the plot"
The plot:
Season 3 episode 14 "Everybody Loves a Snowman" or as I like to call it "Everybody Loves Peter Newkirk in a Tank Top"
I just love how we all collectively lose our minds over this scene 😂😂

(Tbh I feel like depending on the situation Hogan and Klink could swap places but I liked this version better…) Based on this Barbie meme ⬇️

Robert Clary, who played Corporal Louis LeBeau on Hogan's Heroes, died today, November 16, 2022, at 96 years old.
In addition to being a beloved performer for decades, he was a survivor of the Holocaust during World War 2, but he lost almost all of his family. He was only 16 years old when he was arrested in Paris and deported.
"....[W]e were not even human beings. When we got to Buchenwald, the SS shoved us into a shower room to spend the night. I had heard the rumors about the dummy showerheads that were gas jets. I thought, this is it. But no, it was just a place to sleep. The first eight days there, the Germans kept us without a crumb to eat. We were hanging on to life by pure guts, sleeping on top of each other, every morning waking up to find a new corpse next to you.
"....The whole experience was a complete nightmare, the way they treated us, what we had to do to survive. We were less than animals. Sometimes I dream about those days. I wake up in a sweat terrified for fear I'm about to be sent away to a concentration camp. But I don't hold a grudge because that's a great waste of time. Yes, there's something dark in the human soul. For the most part human beings are not very nice. That's why when you find those who are, you cherish them."
~ Robert (Widerman) Clary
Only three of Clary's 13 siblings survived the Holocaust. On the wall of the apartment building on Rue des Deux Ponts in Paris where he grew up, there is a memorial plaque that reads:
"A la mémoire des 112 habitants de cette
maison dont 40 petits enfants déporté et
morts dans les camps Allemands en 1942."
In memory of the 112 inhabitants of this house,
including 40 young children, deported and dead
in German camps in 1942.
Adieu, Monsieur Clary. Merci, et shalom.
Historia Obscurum
May his memory be a blessing.

Listen. Listen.
I need you to understand why the whole Goncharov thing is so hilarious to me as a Hogan’s Heroes fan.
In 1968, the second episode of season 4 of Hogan’s Heroes centered around the Heroes coming up with a nonexistent piece of electronic equipment to trick the Germans into bringing a defecting electronics expert within their reach to smuggle him to England.
The Heroes put on an Entire Bit, using a rabbit trap one of the Heroes made, plus random electronic parts, complete with nonexistent technical jargon for the Germans to overhear. And not one of the Germans wants to admit that they have no dang clue as to what the Heroes are talking about, not even the recurring character of a general who is (normally) one of the most foreboding foes for the Heroes.
And the name the Heroes gave for this piece of nonexistent equipment, which makes what’s going on now even more hilarious?
The Gonculator.
From a rabbit trap becoming a Gonculator to a shoe becoming Goncharov, it’s practically full circle.

Carter: “That’s what you’re gonna be, Hasenpfeffer!” (aka a rabbit dish) the rabbit: *is cute* those three whole adults: “yeaaahh, nope, not eating that little guy.”
:D
This is the only drawing I did for the PBA certificates I know which episode it comes from - “The Gonculator”, one of my all-time faves. This one went for the challenges, episodes, and “unique” categories, like so:
