*Aurther swallowed nervously, nodding solemnly.* "Y-Yeah, okay. I-I'll be around i-if you need m-me, okay?" *Aurther took a step back before backing off completely, deciding to look around the estate.*

*Aurther carefully wrapped his arms around Alois. Oh god. Does he tell him? Fuck. Aurther held Alois tightly, playing with the blondes hair.*

"It's alright, shh... You'll be okay... We-We'll get through this..." *Aurther mumbled, attempting to soothe Alois the best, eyes squeezing close.*

*Alois sobbed into his shoulder, gripping onto him as if he never wanted to let go, he didn’t know why he was upset over the death of the man who caused him so much pain, hurt, so much unwanted feelings ….but he was upset none the less….*

"It's-It's alright..." *Aurther did his best to comfort Alois, but he felt out of his depth, like a fish out of water. He was always horrible at comforting people, his natural nervousness often setting people off worse.* "I...It's better this way, y-you know?"

*Aurther feels his heart spike as he hears the news, immediately running inside and eyes wide. He wasn't expecting it to happen immediately! He thought he'd have time to speak to Alois at least-*

*Aurther runs into Alois as they're both heading towards the voice, Aurther's eyes are wide and tears brimming them. He also has...a burn on his left hand?* "Alois..." *Aurther can't bring it in himself to explain.*

"So, uh... How have you been since I left?" *Aurther tilted his head curiously, taking a sip of his milk.* "Also...what's wrong with that uh...maid? Not to be rude but she seems a bit...off."

*Aurther stared at Squeak in fear, his mouth hanging open for a moment before he decided to do it. He held out his hand, eyes closing as he grasped Squeak's hand and shook it.*

*Hannah appears again within seconds with milk, causing Aurther to jump again. She really needs to stop doing that... He carefully took the cup with a small thanks to Hannah before he looked back at Alois.*

"So, uh... How have you been since I left?" *Aurther tilted his head curiously, taking a sip of his milk.* "Also...what's wrong with that uh...maid? Not to be rude but she seems a bit...off."

"Gah! What is with you and the raccoon always showing up out of nowhere?!" *Aurther squeaked, pressing his back against the balcony railing, hands gripping it tightly as to not fall off.*

*Aurther couldn't tell whether this...thing was safe to spill his secrets to or not, before deciding he didn't really care.* "...I want that old bastard dead, he's always hurting Alois and he used to do the same with me." *Aurther spilled, his tone getting more upset as he spoke.*

*Aurther gritted his teeth harder, setting his drink down and hugging Alois tightly.* "...Family doesn't do the things he did, Alois." *Aurther growled, struggling not to get angry at Alois.*

"I-I need a couple minutes, okay? Just to uh...get my...bearings, alright?" *Aurther muttered, slowly letting go and walking off, going to one of the balconies. All he felt in that moment was a sick desperation and want to get rid of the Earl.*

*Suddenly Aurther paused, looking at Alois's expression. His hand suddenly gripped his glass tighter, his mouth turning to a frown.* "...You still live with the Earl, don't you? I...I left you with him." *Aurther began to spiral, thinking of all the abuse Alois had to go through.*

"Oh my god I must be horrible- How could I leave you there? Fuck." *Aurther mumbled, his frown turning into a dark grimace, gritting his teeth in anger. He was the type of person to do anything for his friends. Anything.*

*Aurther wasn't as favored as Alois was, but that didn't mean he got any less worse treatment. Due to his rather basic appearance, the Earl typically used him more as something to harm and than use.*

"I'm, uh, working to be an author, actually! No one's really letting me write though so..." *Aurther nervously laughed, fiddling with the glass in his hands.* "I...I've been trying to find you, I thought you got thrown out with the rest of us. I'm really glad you're doing okay, though."
