"Honestly I'd like to find the least populated area and stay there for the rest of the semester but thats not an option." He checked his phone. "I think there's some kinda club meets as part of freshers week in the library at 1."
Quaxo couldn’t believe the day was finally here. They were finally headed to university! Next to him his sister looked just as excited. He gave her a little grin. Naturally their older brother Alonzo drove, not trusting his car to either of the twins, Victoria only recently passing and Quaxo still on a provisional license. As he drove he lectured them about behaving, about making their Uncle Bustopher proud by working hard. Quaxo barely listened. To him, this was a chance at a whole new identity. Victoria had often told him to be more confident. Over the summer he created a whole new personality to hide behind. This one he called Mistoffelees, a stage name he had come up with at about 13. You see, Quaxo could do magic. Not slight of hand, kids birthday party magician stuff. No, real magic. It was because of him Alonzo had managed to fit the three of them plus all their luggage into his tiny 3 door car. His name wasn’t the only change. He had taken to dying his hair. Once pure white like his twins, it was now mostly black, a touch of white left at the front. Not the most professional dye job and it drove Alonzo mad but he liked it. He covered his differently coloured eye with a colour contact, making them both blue. And he had developed his own style called Magichrome. Mainly black and white as traditional chrome dictated, however occasionally he sprinkled a bit of gold or silver in there. His look was a stark contrast to his twin. Victoria had gone down the pastel goth route. Quaxo-Or Misto now- remembered when she had gotten her first, non traditional ear piercing. Alonzo had gone mad. He did however put his foot down on tattoos. Piercings could at least heal.
Finally the three pulled up. Alonzo was eager to meet up with his friends and catch up on what had gone on over the summer. However he still took the time to add a few more warnings about the twins behaviour and especially, careful with the magic! Misto rolled his eyes and got out. They had recieved their accommodation information and keys in the post a few days ago. Naturally the boys didn’t stay with the girls, but they were at least in the same building. Misto pulled out his magically altered suitcase-The Mary Poppins bag, as it had been dubbed- and headed towards the building. He glanced around to make sure Victoria was following when he noticed just outside their destination was a rather tall boy. His red hair and height made him stand out quite a bit. He looked a little lonely. Misto gave Victoria a little nudge and nodded at the boy. Surely making friends with others staying in the same building would only be a good idea.

"Oh... uh yeah well... they're alright I guess." Misto shrugged trying to keep it casual. "I really didn't see much of the others to know for sure but they all seemed nice enough." He hadn't sensed any hostility among the group.

Mistos attention snapped back to Victoria when he heard his name. "Huh? What?" He clearly hadn't been listening to her.

Misto hummed in agreement. However as they walked away he couldn't resist looking back at Tugger. He watched him lean towards Alonzo clearly he said something to wind him up and backed away laughing, avoiding a slap. He let Victoria drag him off not really paying attention to her.

Misto was getting agitated as they all stood there, feeling like an exhibition for the older students to gawk at. "How long do we have to stand here like this?" He muttered to anyone listening. He didn't like how they seemed to be talking about them, not to them.

Misto didn't hear the question. He kept glancing at this Tugger. His personality was overwhelming and he tended to stay away from people like that. They would usually leave him feeling drained. But something about Tugger made him feel the exact opposite. He felt alive.

Misto stayed silent, not daring to speak in front of Alonzos older, cooler friends. They would probably think he was an absolute nerd or insane if he spoke anyway. He shoved his hands in his jeans pockets as he felt them tingle. Not now, he thought desperately, no magic! He nodded as Alonzo introduced his friend group. When he got to Tugger he looked away, feeling his cheeks heat up.

As Misto watched the scene unfold he felt a pang in his chest when the undeniably gorgeous woman flirted with the undeniably gorgeous man. What the heck? Why did that bother him so much? They were probably an annoyingly perfect couple. Besides what would someone like hom have to say to someone like him? He ruffled his hair again, a little nervous habit and twitched his nose. Tiny freckles like glitter dusted his nose as he got more worked up by the man.

Misto had been about to yell something to wind his older brother up. It was somewhat of a speciality of his. He was as startled as everyone else by the motorbike. For the first time, Misto was staring without the analytical gaze. He wasn't looking at any aura or energy coming from the newcomer. No he was just staring. He barely registered anyone else around him for a moment. His heart almost stopped when he addressed Alonzo. The man was enquiring about him and Victoria!

Misto jumped at the pinch. "Hey! Ow! God, you bully!"
When he heard Plato confirm he was a second year, he realised something didn't add up. He couldn't help himself. Before he could stop he found himself asking; "If you're second year how come you're lost?"

"Welcome to the world of Vic owning your soul. It sucks. You're gonna love it." Misto mumbled to Jemima before realising Victoria had already found someone to talk to. "Yeah this place is crazy." Misto said a little louder. "Theres every chance I'm gonna get lost for the first few weeks."

"Well I don't have a choice. She owns my soul." Misto muttered to Jemima not so quietly.

"I've seen others wandering but they had their own things to do y'know." Misto ruffled his hair up a bit. "Anyway, have you befriended half the campus yet?"

"Next time I expect at least a fanfare." Misto teased. "I mean, it's not like... tacky card tricks! What ohh I found a penny behind your ear. Please."

"Hang on hang on... considers himself a magician?" Misto repeated raising an eyebrow at Victoria. "I noticed you weren't so vague when I got all your things in that one little bag." He rolled his eyes. "Magician..." he thought about Jemimas comparison. "I suppose that's fair. Just without the wand."

Misto was really warming up to Jemima. He was relaxing around her quite quickly. "I might have to take you up on that offer. I walked in, one was throwing the other one around. I think he was trying to chuck him up onto a top bunk." He turned to Victoria. "I'm fine really. I think they're a little scared of me if I'm honest." He grinned.
