"She probably won't join either. She's got a strong moral code like me, but she also... can't fight," I avoid saying why. "I was never taught but I'm aggressive, strong, and don't back down easy. My upper body strength sucks but I have powerful legs and I'm stubborn."

She pulls her sleeve up to show off the small X shaped scar. "Got this from a biopsy at 13, had a bruise tbat wouldn't go away untik it was cut open and the blood pooled out. Mom tried to tell them the dissolving stitches wouldn't work on us. They didn't listen. A couple of weeks later, they had to cut the stitches out. Which is exactly what they wanted to avoid. Been wanting to turn my entire upper arm into a pirate map ever since. Then I wanted the sparrow tattoo Jack Sparrow has in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Then I wanted a pirate branding tattoo. And a ship in a bottle. The list just keeps growing. I haven't sketched it out yet. Have to get a test tattoo somewhere before I start the sleeve... make sure I can handle it, ya know?"

Victor can hear a change in her pulse and is quick to react, standing up and grabbing Ruth before she can hit the ground, knocking Victoria off the couch in the process. Victoria would be mad but she's more worried about Ruth in the moment

She's got a couple of burn scars on her write wrist that are fading, a weird X shaped scar above where he'd tried to draw blood on her right arm, and a scar on her right side just where her shirt rides up. "And I know the whole fear thing, I'm autistic, few still unsterstand that."

"Oh, yeah, plenty. Art of all kinds, reading, writing, singing, costume making... I make my own Halloween costumes, just got into wig customizing for a character that's going grey and has a perm, bought all the supplies off Temu so it's cheap stuff but it's coming along nicely."

Victoria nods and takes the granola bar from Ruth's purse, getting comfy so Ruth can do her hair.
