An ask blog (maybe an RP blog?) for Earth-196000’s Surreal Spider! A cynical anarchist from an alternate 1970s Miami, Florida; Jo Benítez was just your average ANTIFA/anti capitalist political activist and college dropout who faced the brunt end of the Third Red Scare by being blacklisted as a communist. Fate decides play a prank on Jo when they were bitten by a drugged up, reality bending spiderlike alien and given the taste of its strange powers. With these new abilities Jo becomes the Surreal Spider and dedicates themself to fighting the government, the police, and corrupt members of upper class society in an atompunk/cassette futuristic dystopia..
