What are Deviant Pokemon?

In the context of this blog, and moving forward, i felt it was necessary to explain what deviant pokemon are before begining work on the first ark of the blog, Castelia Knights. Within the story of the Castelia Knights and the blog as a Whole, Deviant Pokemon will be a Important part of the narative (mostly because Two of the main Characters of the blog, Nagisa and Arkao, are themselves deviants).

Deviant Pokemon are individual Pokemon with unique characteristics that makes them different from normal members of their species. All deviants have three traits in common with one another:

 1) All Deviants will have a unique physical abnormality upon reaching their final evolution. This trait will not show up in non-fully evolved mon’s.

 2) All Deviants will have drastic differences with their stats.

 3) All Deviants don’t have the natural limiters that prevent pokemon from using more than four moves at a time. This trait can be noticeable from birth, and is the earliest way to identify a deviant.   

Deviants are also classed into three different categories. Stat Deviants are the most common (but still hella rare) and who’s deviancy only extends to the baseline stated above. Attribute Deviants are deviants who meet the baseline above and have a unique and different Ability than the normal of their kind. The final and rarest of the deviants are Type Deviants, who are deviants who meet the baseline above and are of a different typing than what is normal for their kind.

Some notable blogs that would be counted as Deviants, if they existed in Arkao’s Universe would be @ask-sulfur 

and @ask-spectralsongstress who would be a Type Deviant.

Palkia: Pirates, with their peg legs and untamed beards...

Nagisa: Spiders, mostly.

Frankie: Dogs, Big ones, but not dog mon’s.

Alex: Milk......Don’t ask.

Name: Nikolai “Nick” Suu

Species: Lycanroc (Midnight Form)

Gender: Male

Temperament: Shy and easily Flustered

Summary: Nick, For as long as anyone could remember, has always been the shy guy of Dimond’s Group. He usually keeps to himself most of the time, never speaking more than a few words in a sentence, and just usually minding his own business. A bit of a far cry from the well of personality that makes up both Di’s and Arkao’s groups.

Yet, despite his shyness, Nick has got to be the kindest and warmest souls you ever get the chance to meet. Of all the members of Di’s group, Nick was the first to warm up to a Younger Arkao (before Dimond became a good influence on him). After, Nick warms up to a person, he begins to become a lot more expressionate and forth coming.

Nick is currently in a long distance relationship with his boyfriend all the way in Alola, and is often embarrassed to talk about him (super Cute). He is also a great artist among other things.

Name: Alex Scolare

Species: Sceptile

Gender: Male

Temperament: WILD!!!

Summery: Unlike his sister, Alex is about as hot-headed as they come. The closest thing Arkao has to a brother, Alex has always been there Arkao, and Arkao has always been there for him. One of Arkao’s fondest stories were of the times he and Alex would pick fights with the older Mon’s in their hometown in Unova. 

Alex is a strong fighter, much thanks to his extended family, and as such is one of the reasons Arkao got into competitive fighting. However, due to an injury, Alex has all but retired from the fighting ring and any aspirations on taking on the League. Yet, if the need arises, Alex is more than happy to put up a good fight, especially if Arkao is by his side. 

Alex spends most of is time with his band, the Nova Shocks, as their lead drummer. Of the trio, he is the youngest, and the last to evolve (Arkao is the oldest, and Frankie was the first to fully evolve). As such, Arkao would jab at him for being the shortest among them, that was, until he fully evolved and became the 6′6″ giant he is now. Still, Arkao dolts on him like an older brother.

Name: Frankie Scolare

Species: Blaziken

Gender: Female

Temperament: Grounded

Summery: Frankie is the closest thing Arkao could call a sister. She and her younger brother, Alex, are Arkao’s oldest and closest friends, having known him since childhood. They grew up together, and evolved together, so the bond between them is extremely strong. 

Unlike Arkao and her brother, Frankie is not that into fighting, preferring to put herself into a good book than compete in a fighting tournament or the League. She is also the only member of the trio to pursue a higher education (Arkao is busy raising Nagisa and her Brother is in a popular band). However, don’t let her bookwormness fool you, she comes from a long line of powerful fighters, and she is fully capable of fighting if the need arises. 

Arkao trusts Frankie with his life, which is why she and her brother are the only ones who knows where Arkao hid his mega stone. if anything were to happen to Arkao, Frankie would be the one to take care of Nagisa from now on.
