That with the fact Canon doesn’t like violence and Past is too lazy to actually train doesn’t help so we all just kinda do our own thing.

Nah nah nah, Sword isn't sick... well he is but soup won't help. He just has a legit fear of getting abandoned by people and pushes everyone away (Both physically and metaphorically). Once he warms up to her (Which might take forever considering how bad I am at actually interacting with Maria XD) she's gonna have a permanent spot in his arms as he just carries her around so she doesn't leave him.
