And as much as I'm excited to give you all the content right now, I actually need to take some time to prepare everything! Asks will slow down a little, but I will get the Sliver Arc finished before I start this thing.

My phone has also been having technical issues that make drawing harder. But I will get through this! I also host an October game on Fandom, which I need to take time to focus on as well, and there will be another in December, heads up.

Artificer's voice is still a little scratchy, but she tsks. "I die, it's true. But I wake up again. There will be no final journey for me until the void will accept me."

She sighs. "Which it probably never will. Not like I want to go, anyway."

"I have a wonderful life now. I wouldn't trade my family for anything."

(The medic leaves the medical den to look for food, leaving half/arti to ask her other self more about that pup she mentioned)

Half/Arti: wait!

did you mentioned that one of the guests that was a slugpup, has that scent we artificers are familiar with?

Was the pup that might be mine or yours blue?, because if they (or she) are blue then they (or she), might be pyro or cada, since I do still remember the fact that my other green pup smog, has died for sure due to drowning as I failed to save them that tragic cycle...

Did she have an arm that was a darker blue then the rest of their body?

Who were they with?

(Half/arti said curiously, after finding new hope for her pup to still be alive, but also in fear and uncertainty for the very idea that her pup might still be in danger, since she still hasn't seen pyro anywhere at all)

Artificer nodded slowly. "Yeah. That about matches. They were with some horrible stupid machine. It threatened me. Threatened all of us. It..." she growled. "It deserved my full fury."

"I held back, though. I suppose that's good. There was, of course, the blue pup, but it had a green one too. It made me think of Fume. My two little girls, all alone with that horrible machine..."

Artificer flicked her tail and rubbed her bandaged neck. "It's not a stretch to wonder if the cycles have brought our pups back to us. But the question then becomes if it is Cada or Pyro. Fume or Smog. Mine or yours."

She shook her head. "Not that I'll stop you if they are yours. A mother deserves to be reunited with her children. And you seem more than capable for them, even in your wounded state."

I'm just really struggling to bring myself onto trumblr and draw when I know that I will never be able to engage with you guys outside of this blog for personal reasons.

I've considered deleting my account and closing the app forever.

I've thought about appointing someone to help me.

I've thought about text-only answers.

But the truth is that I want to show all my passion for my AU. And I can only do that through art that comes from motivation- Not force.

Things are changing. I've been reworking some things in my head. But... I just need time to fall back in love with drawing this again.

I'm working on some lore retconning, so it's kinda a big change soon. I do plan to try and answer an ask tomorrow!

(Back at the tree in the medical den next cycle, half/arti has gotten her left paw patched up by the weary slugcats, and her and the medic were both placed at the medical den away from the others, when the medic has just woken up from being unconscious from last cycle)

The medic: what has happened last cycle? (She said, still feeling drowsy but also hungry from not eating last cycle)

Half/Arti: oh medic!, your awake!, so um, what has happened is that you tried to get to the safe haven, with the gps thing being broken and that we ended up getting lost, so you ended up taking us to another tree instead where you became unconscious after we arrived unanounced, and now the slugcats here have been looking at us suspiciously, because their last encounter with another visitor hasn't gone too well last time, so yeah that all happened...

(half/arti said before looking at her other self and suggesting the medic to ask her other self some questions)

The medic: oh uh, hi there other arti!,

So uh, how are you doing here?, do you know where we can get food?, who did patched up half/arti's left paw?, and what did that other visitor do to you slugcats that made you all cautious of us two?

(The medic said as her stomach is growling from hunger)

Howdy!, how have you been doing out there latley?, I noticed that you haven't posted anything for quite a while now, are you cooking up something big or are you taking a break from this blog?, your long silence has been making us fans worried about you, that's why I want to ask you these questions of mine.

I was wondering how long an ask like this would take

And uh, yeah! I'm okay but I've really felt no motivation to work on asks or role-playing here for now. I got the DLC for Pokémon Violet and I've been playing that, as well as getting into Hades.

But my art has also been focused on a comic of mine and a silly Stardew Valley au rather than this.

I know it's been a while, but I have some asks and rp sketched out but not finished. I want to give you guys high quality art, so I've been trying not to force myself to churn out filth.

I am also cooking up something big too but

(Meanwhile somewhere outside the tree, an weird green slugpup with wings (Ranger), was trying to sneak around the dark area, when suddenly he fell over to the ground, making a loud thud in the process at the ground, the green slugpup was then trying to get up from the rubble, when a yellow lizard came by after hearing the sudden noises, and when it notices the greeen slugpup, it immediately decides to charge at the slugpup as it prepares to eat the it's prey, when suddenly it was electrocuted by a strange spear and the lizard collapsed, then it was thrown around and sliced up by a shadowy figure, before eventually being dragged away as the shadowy figure eats the yellow lizard, before throwing a lizard arm at where the green slugpup is lying at, before the shadowy figure pulls their trident off of the lizard's body and began to talk)

???:now that hits the spot!, (chuckles) I haven't eaten all cycle

!!!

(The shadowy figure then notices the green slugpup and runs up to them, revealing herself as a light blue slugcat with gills on the left side of her face, but not on her right side of her scarred face, her left paw is also missing and instead boney dagger arm is where her left paw was at, and a few other scars across her body)

???: oh,hya there pal!

(She smiles at the green slugpup)

???: don't worry, I won't eat YOU!

HA HA ha ha ha he he

(She chuckles lightly, holding her own belly for a second before she bows and introduce herself to the green slugpup)

Rivulet: I'm rivulet, but you can call me riptide if you want to, though...

(Her smile fades as she gives the slugpup a serious look)

...that white overseer was told me to expect you here

(She puts her arms at her hips, and gives the slugpup a suspicious look for a moment, before her smile returns as she picks up the slugpup, using her arms and puts him on his feet to have a proper conversation with the pup)

Rivulet: I think it wants me to ask you some questions before we find a shelter together, since the Strom is coming pretty soon so, I'll be asking you questions now before we find a shelter nearby ok?, so here I go,

Why do you have wings?, what are you doing all alone here in this dangerous place? Where are your parents or guardians? Do you need something to eat?, and how have been doing ok so far slugpup?

Rivulet: I apologize if some of these questions are personal to you, you don't have to answer those questions to me if that makes you uncomfortable.

(She says as she tries to patiently wait for answers before finding a shelter)

(OOC: Innocence is just talking in Ranger's head, something I want to do for future asks as well! Also, nice Doey monologue)

(The medic was trying to take half/artificer back to the safe haven to fix her left paw, but they ended up becoming lost soon after the encounter, with the other artificer with the long, straight, deep cut, half/arti still whines in pain as they try to find another place to get help, but eventually they found a tree full of slugcats that could help them out, so the medic uses her remaining energy to run straight to the tree, before eventually slowing down once they are inside)

half/arti: my paw! (Whines) Why! (half/arti whines in pain as her left paw still bleeds and hurts a lot, from that bite)

The Medic: I NEED SOME HELP HERE!!! (The medic yells at the top of her lungs in hopes of getting attention from the other slugcats)

Random slugcat: hey watch the doors!, WATCH THE DOORS!!!

The medic: is there anyone in here that can help me!?, half/arti's left paw is severely injured from that bite, Please help us out now!

(The medic says before collapsing on all fours from exhaustion and hunger from carrying half/arti all the way to here)

(OOC: This was originally done in art, but it got so away from me that I looked at the sketch and wanted to cry because there were six detailed images I had to do and that just- Kinda broke me. I hope you enjoy the text, and I can draw in further roleplay chains!)

The slugcat at the vine entrance grumbled and stalked up the long, spiraling staircase. "LEADER GOURMAND!" they hollered, loudly. "LEADER GOURMAND!"

Around the exhausted pair, slugcats began to stare. From cubbies in the sides of the tree, bundles of leaves and soft materials, clinging to vines, and even just sitting on the ground near them. Then, they began to whisper.

"Who are they?"

"What happened?"

"Where are her legs?"

"Can we trust them after that last incident?"

"If they hurt Judge..."

"Can't let them near the nursery."

"EVERYONE! Calm down!"

Gourmand started down from the top, tapping their walking spear twice on the wooden ground. They leapt, hitting the bottom with a mighty thud, and took only a moment to regain their composure before looking at the pair.

"The tree welcomes all. I heard your cry for help. Judge can heal you, but I expect you to extend the same welcome to her as we extend to you." He shifted his weight, visibly uncomfortable. "Our last visitors were quite rude to her."

The gray and black calico-like slugcat emerged from behind the stairs, and struggled to lift the Medic's unconscious body onto her back. She spoke, but the words were foreign to all, pointing at Half Artificer and looking around.

"She needs someone to help lift," Gourmand realized, looking at the expecting colony. They shriveled away, whispering and pointing.

"I don't want to touch her..."

"She looks mean..."

"I have pups to worry about..."

"Can't pay me to go near that..."

As the whispers died down, they stared at Gourmand, and he sighed, until Artificer ran out from behind the staircase, breathing hard. "I heard she was back!" She cried, throat hoarse and a bandage firmly around her neck.

She quickly ran to pick up Half Artificer, panting and grinning. "I got another pearl to give to Smog, just like you said. But it... went a little sideways, and- Um- I remembered how spears in the neck feel."

Judge walked back behind the staircase, with Arti following, leading to the medical den.

She nodded. "I was worried about that. I love the scavenger so dearly, but... I'll find another pearl to give to him."

She decided not to mention why it was so important she had a pearl for a scavenger.

"Thank you. And- And I hope you may find peace in this world, find your hope in the endless cycles, as I am about to."

She took a deep breath, smiled, and turned, leaping away.

A familiar maroon face pads up to Half Artificer, sighing.

"It has been some time since I sought out someone so specifically. But I have to."

She cleared her throat, and held out the pink pearl.

"This. My daughter died stealing this. And yet, I carry it with me forever. Now, I- I wish to use it to forever bond myself to her killers."

"Is this right? Should I do this? I love him. I love him too much not to But my daughter- What would she think?"

"I don't know what's right, and my friends aren't helping me."

I'm sorry for your losses as well, we artificers all have losses really, but...

Please don't give that pearl to the scavengers, it'll disrespect your memories of your pups if you did so, you loved them as much as I did with mine, they don't deserve any of this to happen to them, so please...

...PLEASE don't do this to your slugpups!, ok?, it's the least you can do for them.

(As the machine continues to wait for the pyro to come back, it continues to look around cautiously to avoid anymore conflict from the others, but eventually the pyro came back to the protector as promised to the robot, and it immediately has a tight grip on the pyro's right paw, to ensure that she doesn't do anything else, and before they leave The Protector has a couple more things left to say before they go)

The Protector: [we apologize for the inconvenience] [thanks for repairing the pyro's left paw joints: big slugcat] [you have received a gift] (the robot gives the big slugcat, a bomb spear that looks blue instead of red as a "apology" gift)

[Do you have anything you want to say to them?: the pyro]

(The pyro didn't have anything left to say, but she was looking down and trembling in fear for saying anything that the robot would not like, so she shook her head)

[No?]

[Goodbye: big slugcat]

[Next destination: metropolis] [reason: to see: five pebbles]

(The Pyro soon became alone after convincing the protector to watch over the seeker at the nursery, to then be able to properly meet up with the big slugcat on her own, then as she goes up to meet them, she begins to ask them questions and tells them about herself as well as her)

The Pyro: hi th-there big slugcat, my names pyro what's yours?, actually nevermind about that and your weird eye, I wanna ask you many important things about myself right now,(deep breath) ok here we go,

how do you deal with the guilt of causing your sibling's death?, how can I have fun when the protector refuses to let me have it for "safety" reason?, how can I even have my freedom anymore without the robot stopping me!?, what should I even do anymore!?!

(She shouts as she begans to break down in tears, when she was talking to herself about what she has done, to get herself into this mess)

I d-don't kn-know what to do anymore... (sniff)

I-I don't know why I stole that pearl to began with anymore... (sob)

W-why did I let myself get ch-chaght by the protector in the first place... (sniff)

I-I'm sorry big slugcat...(sob)

I'm so, so sorry smog (sniff)

... (sob)

I'M SO SORRY FOR EVERYTHING THAT I HAVE EVER DONE MOMMA!!!

(She shouts again before she wails and crys more as she kept repeating those last few sentences as she continues to cry for a little while longer)
