How's Carol doing?

Phil: Carol is doing fine. She just had her fourth birthday so she’s starting to take the tests with us now. Her scores are pretty good so far for someone just starting to test.

Hey Phil have you told Sherry yet?

Phil: Yeah and as I thought she started freaking out. I had to calm her down before she alerted the other kids or even worse, Mama.

When Conny was shipped out we thought nothing different had happened and everything was fine. Conny was going to her new family…or so we thought. After that Emma, Norman, and Ray were acting strange. Way more secretive than normal. Then it happened in a flash, gone, all three of them. First it was Norman…. Days after Conny was “adopted”, Mama, out of nowhere, said he was finally getting “adopted”. Sherry wasn’t too happy about that she cried and cried for hours even after he was gone. We all did, we genuinely thought that he was going to have a happy life. Oh how wrong we were… Ray was next, his birthday was coming up soon at the time so it was bound to happen regardless. According to Emma everyone was always “adopted” before they turned 13. He too was “adopted” And finally…it was Emma’s turn…it still hurts that she’s gone…I really really miss her. Sure, we got more new siblings just like we got Carol after Conny left but it’s not the same without Emma, Norman, and Ray around. Luckily we still have Gilda and Don around, but they won’t be here forever. Soon it will be their turned to be harvested just like everyone else. Yes, I said harvested. I only found out after overhearing Emma, Norman, and Ray mentioning it once or twice before. I also looked through those books with the weird symbols again after pointing them out to Emma. We needed to run. We have to escape this place or we’ll all be harvested and fed to demons.  I’ve sat by for two year. Two very long watching my other siblings get shipped out. I only waited this long to save Carol. I do not want to leave her in this place. So I waited until she was old enough to run away. I want to save everyone, but if I can’t I at least want to save Sherry and Carol. Sherry is my sibling and best friend and Carol reminds me of Emma in a way and I just can’t leave her behind.  Now I just need to find a way to tell Sherry without having her freak out…
