under cut for what had happened, tw for human/animal death, fire, and just super devastating things.

christopher arsenault started a cat sanctuary as a way to cope with his son's death (a motorcycle accident). cats were his everything! he lived in a very, very small apartment and used most of his funds to take care of the sanctuary. i believe there were over 200 cats in there

one day, a propane tank (i believe) exploded next to his sanctuary and caused a huge fire. chris kept going in and out of the building, trying to save all the cats, but after doing it a few times, he didn't come back out.

once the fire was gone, they found one male body and over a hundred cat bodies. allegedly, he had been getting threats from his neighbors about his sanctuary, but there was no foul play with the fire found.

absolutely devastating. i cant comprehend why a horrific thing could happen to so many kind souls.
