Hello, Selena! In the spirit of celebrating one's loved ones, would you mind sharing a fond family memory?

Hello!

I cherish moments where I can watch Simon and Mathieu create memories together.

One such memory starts with Mathieu begging Simon to tell him all the details of his feat against Dracula, having only recently learned about it from me. (I was grateful that Simon spared him the gory details.)

Mathieu hung on his every word, stars in his eyes.

Then, Simon shared a fact I hadn’t yet told Mathieu.

Mathieu was born while Simon was away. Simon said that Mathieu was “God’s gift for all of his efforts.”

I could tell that meant so much to Mathieu.

And it meant a lot to me, too.

The afternoon was filled with lighthearted fun between the three of us. I’ll always cherish such a wonderful memory.

And afterwards, when Simon and I had a chance to speak privately about our future together, that…

W-Well, that was quite a nice memory, too! I’ll spare you the details!

what are your favorite hobbies?

I enjoy gardening. It’s wonderful to watch something grow over time, and to see the results of your hard work.

This may come as a surprise, as I’m quite out of practice, now, but: exercise and training. On reflection, it may be for the same reason, actually: I enjoy being able to quantify my progress, and improve day-by-day.

Both are great tools for stress-relief.

I also like to immerse myself in books when I can.

selena, what are your best parenting tips? what do you love most about your son? or, is there anything that troubles you about him?

I do what I can to give Mathieu the space and quiet to formulate his own opinions. It’s important to me that he has the opportunity to try on his own, first, knowing that he can ask questions if need be.

And my - is he full of questions! I can hardly keep up! hehehe

For other tips: a strict bedtime and nutritious meals are very important for any child.

As for what I love most about Mathieu… He has a lot of love in his heart, and he shows it in his own ways. He can read people very well (even when I wish he wouldn’t), and does what he can to brighten their day.

As for what troubles me about him… I fear he has idolized the life and expectations of a Belmont too much. It’s no fault of his - it’s likely a fault of ours, as his parents, for allowing that to happen.

He’s too young to be thinking of his responsibilities as a Belmont just yet.

Missus Belmont, I need your help! What's the best way to get monster blood out of clothes/carpets?

I only wish I had an answer for you - but it’s something I’m still trying to perfect, myself!

Try to rinse with cold water before the blood has had a chance to dry. Wash as usual, and hang to dry.

By far, the best advice I can offer is this: purchase fabrics that are dyed dark colours.

And pray your husband doesn’t make a mess of them as mine does.

SQ: Ah...

SQ: And the last question they’d like to ask: “currently celebrating i get no bitches day tomorrow, whats it like being in a committed relationship?”

Selena: It comes with its challenges. A relationship of any kind - committed or not - will have obstacles.

But what makes a relationship endure is the willingness to face those challenges together, come what may.

It’s a comfort to be able to rely on my husband. And it’s an honour that he can lean on me, too.
