Hi Sylvia! I started posting youtube videos recently, and I find that I've been getting a lot of dislikes.. I don't use clickbait or anything and I genuinely try for my videos. I notice that a lot of it comes after I post a link on my Facebook, but I'm not sure if that's only from people who are waiting for me to fail on fb lol. Do you have any advice or insight to why? I know I shouldn't care, but it kind of sucks when I try so hard and half of my likes are dislikes haha. Thanks so much <3
There are always people who know you who want to put you down. That's why when I was starting my channel, I never posted it on my personal Facebook or anywhere where people who know me may have seen. I know it sucks, but that's just the way people are.. :( I would say either just ignore it, or don't post on your facebook. Good luck! Proud of you for posting vids - you rock!

has your eyebrow regrow? it looks a lot more full without make up, or is that make up? i noticed during your vlog! if so, how do you make them re grow faster?
Yes! My brows have gotten fuller. Honestly, you literally just cannot touch your eyebrows in anyway - I didn't put any tweezers near them for a while and really noticed they grow back a lot. And just keep them conditioned, just like your hair. So when you moisturize your face, go over your brows too.

You should look for more smaller/start-up companies that allow more flexibility. I worked at FREE Agency, and Mejuri - both smaller companies.

Hi Sylvia, do you have any recommendations on lighting equipment for youtube videos? I've tried filming with natural lighting but it always changes and I hate how some parts of my video are darker than others.. and I don't know how to fix it in fcp haha.. thanks <3
I got some softbox lights on Amazon for around $200 - they work pretty well! I find LED lights best, but it does cost more and take a bit more practice to get them to work right. Softboxes are probably the easiest for beginners.

How did you mange ur finances so well as a student and even until now? Do you have any tips for your subbies? xoxo
I think a lot of it is just recognizing what I want/need, versus other things. For example, I'm super into buying purses, but in order to do that, I sacrifice things that I care less about. I barely shop for clothes, I don't go out and party, I'm careful about my grocery spending, I don't go out for that daily Starbucks run, etc. Spending within your means can be tough, but you gotta face your expenses head on and actually look and where your money goes.

Santa Monica was one of my fave places! It's a great little beach city. If you like healthy foods, try sweetgreen! It's yums :) The Grove was pretty cool, I liked the farmer's market part of it - lots to eat there too! Have fun :D
