While there are some tiny few people who get upset at such things (whoch is super shitty of them), most art fight people are pretty chill. art fight is intended to be fun and about gifting overall, no expectation of a return piece. You dont have to make many things for it to be valid! Lots of people make only 1 thing, and lots join with the intent to do lots and find they cant do any. Its just how life is sometimes. Sometimes folks have grand plans and have to pivot to just silly gremlin drawings. All gifts are appreciated no matter style/skill/outcome.

Are you participating in artfight this year? I know things have been a little stressful for you as of late (I offer you a warm bowl of soup) but I would love to make attacks of your characters!

Thanks for asking! I think I better sit this one out. I'm not prepared for it mentally or physically. Drawing is still difficult for me, even personal, low-stakes doodles that shouldn't feel challenging at all. I don't think it'd be wise to even try to add the pressure and expectations of art fight on top of that.

My last year's contribution was pathetic and I got so overwhelmed towards the end I still haven't managed to comment on several of the attacks I received, and I've been feeling guilty about it all year. I can't bear to disappoint people by underperforming two years in a row.

My friend pointed it out first, and then I started noticing too. Why would books that multiple libraries definitely, 100% had digital access to a couple of months/weeks/days ago disappear?

Amazon is getting exclusive rights to them.

Ebooks that the public library once had digital copies of are now only available through Amazon. Audible boasts on their covers about Audible-exclusive audiobooks that did not used to be Audible-exclusive. Entire series and collections are disappearing overnight.

Keep your eyes on the privatization of media and your libraries.
