Got my soul back.
Went home to Myrtle Beach last weekend for the first time in two years. It hurt like hell to be in the place I fell in love for the first time, but I got my soul back. I'm better than ever, and I'm ready to live my life the way I want to live it. LET'S ROCK THIS BITCH.

Pennsylvania regiments were typically formed out of neighboring communities, which is fairly obvious and understandable. The 149th however, had ten companies from ten different counties.
So basically there was no single newspaper to report on their activity, track camp life or share stories with...
