The Reality of the Devil
The Devil, as we know it today, is not originally a Xrstian character. The word comes from Sanskrit and means "nature spirit." The Devil is equated with the Horned God of modern Paganism because He is the ruler of the Earth, the embodiment of the Divine Masculine in the natural world. Xrstians appropriated our God as the anti-God of their religion purely for reasons of fear & spreading dogmatic propoganda. They named Him "Satan" for two reasons:
1) They didn't know His true name and 2) the word Satan in Hebrew means "Adversary." But in an older language, Sanskrit, Satan translates to "infinite truth," and in Sumerian Cuneiform it means "Administrator." Our Horned God is the anti-thesis of their Sky Daddy in every way. He is the embodiment of everything they claim as "evil": Lust, freedom, wrath, sex before marriage, homosexuality, etc. Medieval Xrstians couldn't understand the Horned One & couldn't figure out how to make Him one of their Saints, so they demonized Him instead. This is for the same reason that Fayeries were turned into demons.
I am a cross between a Pagan & a Luciferian. In this sense, I am a practitioner of An Carow Bwcca, the An Carow Wyllt Tradition with a focus on The Devil, the Fayerie Queen, the Genus Loci, & the Atavat'ii.
The Devil, as understood by Traditional Witchcraft, is exactly this: the King of Nature. Not just that, but the EMBODIMENT of nature or rather Nature Itself. The Devil, the Wyllt, the Green Man, Merlin, Odin, Cain, Azazel, Pan. The Path of the Devil is the Path of the Exile! It is the Path of the Warlocke, and this is the Path that I walk. I don't care what people think about it either, so buzz off!
