Week 10
This lesson we presented our pitch, it went ok though it could have gone better as every one of us was nervous and we took a while to start as Rhys had to deal with his anxiety before we began.

Week 9
This week all of us was in at the start (Rhys left hour early for a Hospital appointment), we added changes to the pitch presentation and went over who would go over what, and tried to practice the pitch, tried not to give Rhys too much to present because of his recent absences and ‘anxiety’.

Week 8
It was just me and Ben in lesson this week (Rhys and Barney were ill), we made the burndown chart, a sprint Gantt chart and the base of the pitch presentation slides, I also made the Code of Conduct more professional by removing the do’s & don’ts bullet points and expanding upon the point that was made.

Week 7
This week only me and Ben came in (Rhys with an unannounced hospital appointment and Barney who wasn’t well I found out days later), we started the Code of Conduct and put my documents into one large one; and I became what essentially the secondary team lead to give Ben stuff to do and to catch him up on what’s been done since Rhys hasn’t given him anything.

Week 6
This week I wasn’t in the lesson or do much as I was ill and didn’t want to pass it on as well as the fact I was dealing with my mental health because of stress caused primarily by personal circumstances finally starting to get to me.

Week 5
This week we did team building exercises (Einstein’s riddle, Mastermind, Geometry wars, Moon crash list) which couldn’t really be called that effective as Rhys the leader wasn’t there because he was ‘ill’; I added more risks the risk assessment and did research into types of brand promotion and costs along with ways to get more customers without advertising. Personally I believe most of us know how to do the agile methodology but we aren’t organised as I believe Rhys isn’t completely sure of how to do some of the group leader role’s duties.

Week 4
We had a lesson on Risk management going over the types of risks (e.g. personnel, financial, etc.) and methods of dealing with it (e.g. avoidance, mitigation, etc.). Then my group divided the documentation amongst ourselves; I got the mood boards (which I had already done alongside a concept doc), risk assessment and market analysis; and I did the risk assessment and market analysis fairly quickly, though I couldn’t think of a lot of risks. I think I need to think up of more risks or ask the group as I cannot think of any more.

Week 3
We had a lesson on project management methods going over waterfall, critical path, and Agile/XP(extreme programming) as well as some terminology. We officially became a group and sorted out who is the scrum master and manager, and decided to go away from the Candy Crush idea a little and made it more like SPB Quads in that you pop groups instead of connect 3 or more of a colours. We had a scrum meeting over Discord to discuss if stuff is on track and what we need to do.

Week 2
We had a lecture on teamwork/group communication and did two personality tests a Beldin Test and a test on 16personalities.com; in 16 personalities I was an Advocate which I don’t fully agree with, and on the Belbin test I fit in with the Team-Worker and Completer-Finisher personalities the most which I do agree with and I have near equal with all the other types as a 3rd personality except for Plant which I don’t think fits to well. We looked at Rhys’s research and decided on a Candy Crush like game, did some planning, and I put together Rhys’s phone and background concept and gave it a basic UI/HUD like the one Candy Crush has. Despite the team being made up of similar personality types I think we can do this project fairly well.

Week 1
Had an intro, a look at hardware pros and cons, the brief and got into a 4-man group and got to known each other, decided which project to do out of the vr3d crane box stack game or the mobile freemium (a free game that has micro-transactions) Slurm game; I expect this course to go well from previous experience with the agile method from the last course I was on, my only fear is how I’ll work with the teammates I only recently met and don’t know the work ethic of.
