Bleh

So took a break cause I was(and am) unsure about how to shape the back of the head

HOWEVER

I worked on the "boning" around the eyes

I made a bunch of tiny rectangles that fit around the eye, making an almost eye socket

I had the eye pinned in as shown above so I could make sure the shape I made the eye socket matched how I want it to look in the end

Once sewn the socket holds onto the eye pretty well

I can shake it pretty good and the eye doesn't fall out for a good 30 seconds are so

I did also start on the other eye as well

Same process but matching the shape of this eye instead, since both eyes are slightly different in shape. I didn't fully sew in the pieces tho cause its late and I gotta work at 8am tomorrow.

Hopefully in the end the eyes will face forwards instead of off to either side

This was the last of the darker color I had for the eyes, so if I need to remake them idk for sure what I'll do cause I don't know where I'd get more of this color. And I don't want to have to change the color, I like it :P

I will work with what I got for now, but theres a few problem with the eyes themselves so ehhhhh

I'm making vauge lore for Drip

Wherever he comes from he doesn't know much about the real world but he meets a so-far-unnamed dog who's blunt about things

So sometimes Drip mistakes the definition of the word the dog is saying. Hence thinking the dog meant "bug" as in something bothering him, and not as a small insect crawling infront of them.

Living in my first apartment I've had to do this more times than I'd admit

Either I forget to grab a towel, or I forgot to wash the towels :3

why do we take towels for granted. have you ever needed to dry off and could only use your clothes or a blanket or something. little fibers all over you, just terrible. towels dont do this. not nearly as much at least. thank you towels

I've been working off and on on the crochet fursuit head, but between guild wars 2, cult of the lamb went on sale, and general life shit things have been slow.

The eyes now have sockets!

Now they don't flop around since the "socket" acts like a frame to keep them in shape. I didn't take a photo of the visibility. On one hand I feel like it'd be a bit tough with my phone camera, on the other by now I'm at work and I don't bring this stuff to work with me.

I don't think my boss would have any issue or anything, I just don't feel like the billions of questions from my clients.

I also started to work back into the back of the head and start of the neck.

It does kind of look like bunny ears, I split it down the middle to make taking it on and off easier. I plan to make any attatched pieces or spots meant to be closed connected with buttons.

They aren't great photos cause I was taking them right before my roommates cats dinner time, so I was being love bombed by one of the cats.

He's the most brain damaged of the bunch and enjoys chewing on fingers as a before meal snack!

I do hope to get more work on this done, I have shaping in the head to do as well as making the ears.

I'm unsure if the ears will be removable or not but we'll see.

it's wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.

you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, be fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.

young doesn't mean peaked. you're inexperienced in your 20s! you're still learning and practicing! you're developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!

there are a million things to do in the world, and they don't vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big

Y’all, I bought a loom a few weeks ago and it’s been one of the best decisions of my life! It’s just so weirdly satisfying. I’m not doing anything fancy yet, but jut the fact that I’ve gone from all wavy edges and inconsistent spacing:

To nice and neat edges and even lines just makes me so happy. There’s visible progress!

I’m sure I still have a long way to go. I want to go buy some books about it that I think will help everything make a bit more sense. Plus it would be nice to have some reference material that doesn’t require an internet connection. It’s just really satisfying that I’ve come this far this quickly. Now it’s just a question of can I stay that consistent and work faster. That first six inches of scarf took me an hour because I was really focusing my movements. I’m trying to build up muscle memory like I have for knitting, you know?

Drip is definitely leaning towards being my oc to express my disassociation and other related issues. With the added psychedelic eye look it definitely feels like it fits, to me at least and what else matters for my oc?

I'm not used to drawing the eye quite yet but I've messed around with the concept a bit so far

I love the middle top drawing in the last photo. The way he's staring at the viewer with whatever emotion I put on his face is just yummy art to me.
