WAIT the whole "i wish the girls had actually lost it and hunted each other for real" was already stupid to me before bc with the chance of rescue it would make sense to come back to earth a bit (and the scene right before that happens is them screaming and feasting on ben so they absolutely did lose it on one of their own). but like i thought mel trying to kill shauna was her going further than the plan laid with mari-akilah-gen, but if akilah also did plan to kill lottie then it was a coordinated attack, and the hunt WAS real. but shauna and lottie were targets too

ep9 had mari saying that shauna's too chicken to use the gun on them but then she did, on mel, and that changed everything. in their minds she made it okay for them to use violence too. i mean it's just one interpretation but i hope thats what happened. its more interesting than just shauna and lottie hunting and everyone else distracting shauna/trying to help mari/etc, even if its for good reasons!! actually, if a whole third of the girls were fr hunting lottieshauna so they could go home that is so delicious

wait this is killing me. lottie DID think he was wilderness jesus and then he died but 25 years later its callie??

i think, for lottie, shauna was the only one willing to embody It back then and then lottie made her antler queen and dressed her the same way as the lady in her vision in the s3 finale (wilderness holy spirit), but shauna was never 100% like It, she was one side of the coin and nat was the other. lottie herself said to travis the wilderness is neither good nor bad (It just is. it's a balance)

but callie is just like shauna but more (using lotties own words) (i think she means she has other qualities, the same ones nat embodied?) she's wilderness jesus who actually came back. we know lottie wanted to be the sacrifice during the hunt. she smiled when callie killed her, she got what she wanted from The Right Person

also now the og post works better with the whole lottie retrocausality of the last episode

i realized im kinda not sure i got the season finale right? from my understanding:

only van and nat know about misty breaking the transponder. all of team nat was probably made aware of the scientists' machine later but not the misty part

mari agreed to the hunt and akilah made it possible by killing the animals to distract shauna, so they're the masterminds of that operation. judging by nats reaction she was only made aware of it after the fact/before the hunt

gen led tai away during the hunt so mel could slow shauna down to give mari more of a chance, and mel went off script trying to kill her. i have to believe that's only a mel thing or at most a genlissa thing because nat never would have signed off on it BUT maybe mari (and akilah) knew too "you deserve everyhing thats coming to you"? unless she meant post-rescue (as in, she wouldnt keep her mouth shut about what shauna has become), because i cant see mari akilah or gen planning to murder shauna tbh.

travis wasnt in the know. lottie knows about akilah killing the animals bc idk third eye, sort of like in ep9 when she knew that travis was trying to kill her

hannah as we've seen was only made aware of the plan during the hunt and tai i think knew nothing about it, since she wanted to stay longer? but it feels kinda impossible that van didnt tell her so i might have missed something at the end. her face was still covered sooo

i think robin and britt were on team crazy so they knew nothing either

so in the end the hunt was only real for lottie, shauna, britt and robin (but idk if they were actually trying to kill mari bc we know nothing about them) travis wasnt participating, nat akilah gen mel misty and van were faking it, and tai was only going through the motions but was probably not going to kill mari if she somehow got the opportunity and other tai didnt take over and thats why she was sticking close to shauna at the start of hunt, bc shauna wouldnt hesitate and she wanted to protect her

oh and since lottie only blew the horn once that means akilah is still alive in the cave

did i get that right orrrr??
