A Plea for Help from Gaza: A Family Seeking Safety

I am Shaima from Gaza, married to Ibrahim @ibrahem-88 Al-Sir.My family consists of two people. For 8 years, we had a dream of having a child to make our life more beautiful.

We are now living in the midst of a hellish war between death, destruction and hunger.

This is after losing everything we had, the fetus, our home, and our only source of income

I was waiting for more than 8 years to have a transplant to have my first child, but because of the war, fear, sounds of explosions and displacement from one place to another, I lost my child.

I am now living the worst days of my life because of all this. My husband and I want your help to escape from all that we are suffering and get out of Gaza to safety.

OTP: Funeral Pyre

Irhaal and Astarion’s ship name is “funeral pyre” because they embody the term both together as one entity and separately as individuals.

Obviously “funeral” is Astarion’s side of the term since he’s undead. It could also refer to his own farce of a funeral, with him being buried by Cazador. “Pyre” refers to Irhaal since she’s often represented with fire (dragon/sun/etc) and is quiet the force to be reckoned with.

But during Irhaal’s tenure as the dark urge she often sent people to their deaths by burning them alive. She was effectively a very fiery end to someone’s life, in a very literal way.

In Astarion’s case, I take liberties with DND lore. In my world, victims found dead by a vampire’s bite are often burned, to cleanse them of corruption before they can pass on. Once a vampire is killed they’re also burned to ensure no chance of resurrection.

if a category 3 or even category 4 hurricane directly hits Tampa, Florida, the insurance market will collapse overnight and it will be an unimaginable, complete catastrophe that i'm not sure the United States is capable of handling on top of ongoing Helene recovery. keep anyone who has the misfortune of living in Florida in your thoughts because this particular storm is going directly over very, very warm gulf of mexico waters and has the potential to be a monster.
