Headcanon:

Different Hermits use different things for their inventory. The standard for players is a bag that functions basically like a Bag of Holding from DnD, a pocket space that you can look or reach into.

The most common thing to do is to customize your bag in some way: Pearl’s this season is her mailbag. False’s is her briefcase (which also contains several rivers of course). Gem has a leather coin pouch attached to her belt. Juppet has a similar felt pouch sewn onto his pants.

You can, however, redirect this pocket dimension elsewhere if you want, though it takes some finessing and can be awkward for larger objects so most people don’t bother. Cleo, notably, has their’s tucked into their open body cavity. Cub’s is in an inner pocket of his lab coat. X appears to just pull stuff from nothing because he actually has it embedded in a glove.

i don't think i've ever seen anybody talk about e2!gem and s9!gem in the context of masculinity and femininity

so ofc e2!gem will represent femininity with her passive nature and s9!gem will represent masculinity with her dugeon head collecting stuff

we see in the crossover how she reacts to hermits discovering her princess dawn persona. she seems much more protective over it and specfically distances herself from the hermits in the presence of the other emperors

while on hermitcraft she is very open with her pvp side with the emperors actively inviting them to a fight

so wtf does this have to do with gender. well to me this is sooo trans masc coded. carefully setting up your femininity and actively distancing yourself from people who you are out to so they won't out you. then on the other side of the coin openly and encouraging people to see your masculinity

it is a rare day when i turn down an offer to draw scott but! gem felt more fitting for the bi flag! this one got very conceptual i tried out a new style sort of thing... trying to be able to do lineless art... anyways! hope you like it!
