⭑ @enavant ↪ ❝ you asked me how your outfit looks, darling. well, it's stunning, but i have a feeling it may look much better on my floor. ❞
Golden eyes widen slightly in shock, almost a fraction, but evident to those that knew to look for it, and as quickly as they widened, they relaxed, endearingly gazing upon the Miqo'te that had brought light to those that needed it most. To him, when he needed it most.
"Aye." He spoke at last, eyes closing and voice steady, betraying none of his earlier shock. "Upon thine floor, or amongst thine dresser drawers, I've no doubt. Mine things mingling with thine, days in and days out, and lost to us wouldst be the endless passage of time, cruel and irreversible, but a blessing. Oh, yes, a blessing to wake ev'ry morn and lay ev'ry eve tangled in thine rumpled beddings, limbs and lips and all matter of intertwining betwixt thee and I."

#ASTRALDECK *✧・ Yet I dare not dwell overlong on my MANY REGRETS, for the world is a tapestry of fates, interwoven && inseparable, && we who strive to better it cannot choose but make difficult decisions. For naught of worth was ever achieved without S A C R I F I C E.
&& thus must man ever struggle to weigh l i f e against l o s s.

@astraldeck ❥❥❥ starter call ( accepting )
NIGHTS DO NOT NORMALLY GO BY without some form of torment within her dreams — a life held with torrential hardships from so young an age often lent well to it; not to mention the path paved with loss && pain she has been travelling down.
she finds the little comforts that she can, relief spilling over her in her nightly walk to find he is still awake, continuously buried in his tomes. && she casts no sound as her feet carry her lightly, sneaking into his company 'neath the book he reads — place taken upon his lap, slipped under his arms between him && his tome, moving to sip his warm tea as if it were her own.
❝ i find it comforting that you are still awake, urianger. ❞ she glances upward at him, leaning her head against his chest. ❝ you, however, should let yourself rest, you know. ❞
As the sun descended and gentle night drifted in like a calm breeze, Urianger slid a bookmark into the hefty tome he had in his hands and set it atop it's brethren - a stack of them five strong and, after scanning the spines of several titles, the Elezen picked up a promising sounding one.
His desk was piled high with various books and scrolls and loose bits and pieces of parchment, some faded, some fraying, but each one a piece of a stubborn puzzle refusing to let him fit in the pieces in any satisfying way. Among these things, sat his tea, pleasantly fragrant and currently a tad too hot for comfortable consumption and so, he settled back into his chair and opened the book with care, knowing the poor, dust covered tome hadn't been handled in well over many, many cycles.
At some point, he'd lost himself in his reading, evident as J'isu's presence had gone unnoticed up until she had successfully wiggled onto his lap, his tea nursed in her small hands. As she spoke, his eyes finished the sentence he had been on, and only his endeared smile betrayed that he had even heard her. With lifelong practiced fingers, he used his thumb to flip the page, but his golden eyes instead shifted their attention to the Miqo'te.
"Rest is the well earned reward of the weary, and I dareth argue that none art more weary than thee, my friend." His hand caressed her cheek, thumb stroking along her jaw. "Comforting though mine waking may be, I implore thee find thine sleep, dearest J’isu."
