Just like seriously, in the base game Fortissax and Godwyn were mortal enemies in the War Against the Ancient Dragons, but ultimately Godwyn pulled off the ultimate diplomatic move and ended up becoming best friends with Fortissax, which ended the whole war in the process!!!!

They became best friends! Godwyn and Fortissax formed the Ancient Dragon Cult together and brought peace between the Dragons and the Erdtree! Their whole friendship is what brought Lansseax and Vyke together ultimately, like gosh! 😭

And then... when Godwyn was cursed during the Night of Black Knives with the Death Root, Fortissax personally went into Godwyns soul to fight of the infection to save his friend and that's the while reason why we fight Fortissax in the base game because he is corrupted while trying to save his best friend from such a horrific form of accursed undeath...

BUT NOW

The Death Knights in the Shadow of the Erdtree and their whole entire lore is like... "Yeah so we were Godwyns personal guard and such but we gave up on Godwyn and are now waiting for a random ass person to get impregnated by our Lords unholy corpse which he unconsented too... so yeah whatever ig 🤷‍♂️"

I hate to say this but it finally clicked.

Now before we start (we meaning me and my rotten brain), this sword is associated with Miquella. We know this because the symbol used in this animation:

And while scrolling on tumbler I read it's description for the the 30th time. And I quote

A sword made to commemorate the death of Godwyn the Golden, first of the demigods to die.

Infused with the humble prayer of a young boy; "O brother, lord brother, please die a true death."

And it made something click for me that has felt... Odd since the trailer of the DLC dropped. Something that felt wrong.

From bandai namcos elden ring page:

"And now Miquella awaits the return of his promised lord".

And I know obviously this is referring to the player... But wait a minute. Is it? We have never interacted with or met Miquella what so ever. why we he be awaiting our "return"? Why are we his "promised lord"?

Because... We aren't. We don't need to return to a place we've never been. This has bugged me SO MUCH because it feels so... weird for it to be the tarnished. It doesn't make sense even. But if he's awaiting his "Lord Brother".... who has been dead since the before the shattering. He is absolutely waiting for the return of Godwyn... I don't think it's a stretch to say Godwyn is his promised lord.

And we know how Godwyn is gonna come back, or at least miquellas plan from some random ghost:

Soooooo yeah. I think Miquella is awaiting the return of Godwyn. What does this means?

The DLC rotted my brain and I'm probably wrong, but it's what feels right.

(Also also the shadow looks so white and black.... And the sun is much brighter in the background?? And is being eclipsed by the tree, while MIQUELLA POINTS AT IT?????)

Day two, also known as my long search for a pretty blue beach!!

So I spent most of my day at the shadow keep, without any way seemingly to the blue cathedral in the distance (I eventually got to it).

So I went in search of blue, and lord oh me, lord oh my, it was a wonderful time. I found the Cerulean coast.. and

Then I explored more and found something interesting!! I won't spoil what it says but it seems to be left by an interesting aspect of miquella...

So here's how day one went but abridged for time

Waiting was so hard but then at 9 pm I started playing

Got in and have been exploring a lot

Lots of the worms but this dudes such a goob

I fought two of these with my girl tiche

The first major boss I fought was twin moons and... God damn.

6 days and all I can say, if you spoil the game for me I'm taking you by the kneecaps out back

I will doubt that leak until I actually see it in game. This serves as both a way to maintain the surprise in case it's real, and not to fall for insufferable bait if it's not.

Every damn youtuber who played it keeps saying how peak the dlc is. Iron Pineapple says it's amazing, Scott Jund loved it, Smoughtown liked the lore. Everyone saying that this dlc is REALLY GOOD.

These are people I trust with their opinion, they aren't random reviewers that would stop playing after 2 hours and write a 10/10 review. Smoughtown played through it twice, Scott Jund says he saw the final boss and said it was very hard.

Which is strange because the final fight in the leak is not good. It's janky, it doesn't seem particularly hard, and it's not interesting from a lore perspective. The arena also looks like ass.

So our options are:

-Bandai Namco has a gun pointed to all their heads

-All of them have turned completely and utterly tasteless all of a sudden

-There is a REALLY good explanation for it in the dlc

-The leak is fake

hello! i saw ur post on the leaks and i was tilted and mad about this for straight five hours cos how in a world this is real?! but after 8 marinading with the thoughts on this i think its better that we trust the narrative they will going to tell and i trully believe even this rn feels like a bomb it would all make sense in dlc TRUST ( and maybe cope on my part) sending you love!❤️❤️
