The 11th House is the house of cooperation and belonging to a group

Aries in the 11th House: Despite Aries influence being adaptable and dynamic, they can struggle to be part of a group. They may rarely ask for help, is independent among friends, acquaintances, and peers, and may instinctually always separate themselves from others somehow. Maybe they always stand out, has a flaky side, or likes to do a lot of intellectual, political, or altruistic activities on their own. Aries is known for being a leader and by leading others with a shared goal they may connect better. Rather than being a leader Aries can also connect more deeply with a group or fit themselves comfortably into a dynamic by being around those who accept their individuality. Being part of a group who is very respectful of individualism is important for this placement.

Taurus in the 11th House: Taurus is NOT an adaptable sign and doesn't tend to be highly "cooperative". BUT they might not have that much trouble belonging to groups, society, or having "good" friendships. A "good" friend is highly subjective but Taurus in the 11th likely has long-standing, enduring friendships. Taurus is a sign that always keeps the peace, they are reliable, and they are loyal to their friends, organizations, and causes. Because of this they may belong to a group with ease. They likely don't belong to a lot of different groups but maybe one or two, where they go all in. Their stubborn and fixed nature can cause problems sometimes in this area of life. Being more open-minded and flexible can help them with large or messy conflicts in their group dynamics.

Gemini in the 11th House: Easygoing, highly adaptable, cunning, and with high social intelligence - this person likely belongs to many groups and is famous for having a lot of friends and connections. This is a person who can easily belong to a group, joining and leaving (sometimes returning) to different groups often. They can be a helper, supporter, or teacher among their peers. However a lack of depth and involvement can disturb their dynamics with others and the collective. They themselves may not find a lot of fulfillment unless they devote more time and passion to a smaller amount of groups.

Cancer in the 11th House: This sign is more focused on getting close to other people on a one-on-one level. To belong to a group of people they must be emotionally invested in their cause, goal, or relationships. They can get highly attached to a group and be fiercely devoted. They can be adaptable, intuitive, and receptive in their dynamics. They may play the role of therapist, protector, or caretaker in their groups. Problems in a group arise from jealousy, possessiveness, or betrayal. Their one-on-one relationships build the foundation of their groups and because of this things can get personal fast.

Leo in the 11th House: They may always be pulled towards being a leader or being decisive among a group. This could be from their own initiation or others putting them in positions to lead. They tend to be generous and positive when in a group setting. They may have a difficult side and won't stick around people who don't appreciate and/or admire them. They can have a complex relationship with being at the center of a group or center of attention. What threatens their belonging to a group could either be ego and/or too much self-focus. May care about their reputation and group standings more than they let on.

Virgo in the 11th House: Works hard to be a productive member of a group or organization. They have an ability to fit into many types of groups however any barriers to entry may be due to their own standards. They approach friendships and networking thoughtfully and cautiously. Virgo can care a lot about order and tradition within their groups. They are usually very supportive, caring, and thoughtful friends. Harsh judgment, snobbery, or approaching connections materialistically can hinder their relationships and standings within a group. Staying patient, down-to-earth, and honest are helpful for their friendships and group goals.

Libra in the 11th House: Can certainly "appear" to fit in perfectly with many or most groups. They are incredibly adaptable and cooperative which they use to their advantage. They may highly prioritize their friendships, social standing, and/or the social world. A passion towards causes, activism, or making a difference with a group or within a group may be something they find later on in life. A lack of passion or direction, a lack of valid reasoning to be part of a group may be a struggle earlier on in life. Shallowness, detachment, and lack of decisiveness can hurt their ability to join a group or be part of the dynamic. Being part of a harmonious group of people is highly fulfilling to them.

Scorpio in the 11th House: May be tempted to self-isolate often. They may be tempted to leave a group or friendship if they feel they have been too vulnerable with them, if there is a lack of trust, or lack of closeness. Scorpio in the 11th House may have a lot of close relationships and deep bonds, but they may not easily fit into group dynamics. When they are part of a group many can surprisingly take a leadership role. However many may also be reclusive and observant. In a group they have the ability to be a motivating, transforming, and/or influential force. But drama surrounding passion, sentiment, arrogance, betrayal, jealousy, power struggles, and control issues can arise in their group dynamics and connections.

Sagittarius in the 11th House: They bring energy and positivity to any group they belong to. They love meeting and connecting with new people. They can be easygoing and spirited, easily fitting into all types of dynamics and groups. They tend to win people over with their optimism, humor, or charisma. Sagittarius in general is known for struggling with commitment and easily burning through relationships. This fiery, unstable energy can be a reason they may face issues within groups. Their temper and possibly a certain set of beliefs may also hinder friendships, connections, and belonging or cooperation. Among friends or in a group they can spread inspiration, help uncover truths, or often gives advice. Their fiercely independent and rebellious nature can also be a threat to many group dynamics. They may be most passionate about groups or dynamics that revolve around a belief, set of ethics, or religion.

Capricorn in the 11th House: Despite this sign's careful, reserved, and/or cold reputation, they may fit into groups quite easily. They are adaptable, level-headed, hard working, and very good at managing their reputation among direct peers and even better at managing their image with authority figures. Their understanding of power, control, and authority can allow them to move easily around group dynamics. This understanding can also give them a reason to rebel against authority or a collective. However control issues and a lack of emotional sharing and/or connection can be a threat to their friendships and network. Overall they are usually a dependable, loyal, and good-intentioned friend. Capricorn tends to represent the conformer, dictator, boss, mentor, preserver of tradition, and rule-follower within group dynamics. But they can also represent the rule-follower who breaks, the unexpected rebel, the industry changer, and the tradition maker.

Aquarius in the 11th House: Can have a complex relationship with this area of life. They highly value friendships and the organizations they identify with or belong to. Aquarius represents both the outsider and trendsetter along with the trend-follower and vital group member or charismatic leader. They can easily tap into collective feelings and thoughts. They have a lot of social intelligence and intuition. Their rebellious, individualistic, independent nature can make it hard for them to fit in. But their charismatic, funny side or playfulness, flirty side, and originality can gain them a lot of social credit. They can have a lot of influence and sway within a group. Their ideas and lifestyle may be highly inspiring to others. But detachment and their need to stand out or to live a certain way can easily cause friction. Pisces in the 11th House: Pisces in the 11th House has great social skills, is perceptive, and intuitive. They can get incredibly close to their friends and may get highly emotionally involved within groups. They can be a sensitive but caring member of a group. They can also easily lose themselves within a group or group mission. A sense of belonging can feel good to this placement, but feeling loved by others is more important. If a group dynamic does not feel emotionally stable, stimulating, and/or safe they likely wont stick around for long. They are masters at leaving a group setting or dynamic. They may find themselves floating from one group to another often in life. They prioritize very intimate bonds like a romantic partner, family, or long-time friend more so than a group bond or organization. They network, connect, dream, and move socially based on how others make them feel.

Pallas Athene in the Signs

In the signs, Pallas Athene describes the perceptions in which our mind operates, our creative intellect, and how our creativity manifests itself.

Aries: This placement presents a perception of a person who seeks to initiate new actions. They have high creative energy and a clear vision of how to get to where they want to go. Identifying Your Prominent Godly Objects

As always, recorded for me, published for you. Hellenic and Vedic options listed, though I usually research using Vedic. I encourage experimenting with both. Refer to bio.

Determining Godly Prominence: Why, Where, What

Should you believe in the god represented by the object, this is...

Where to Look I determine prominence based on object conjunctions to major objects in the D1, the D7, the D9, the D12, and the D20, or 1st, 7th, 9th, 12th and 20th harmonics. Conjunctions in one of the latter four charts to one of the major objects make it important enough to look for in the natal. Conjunctions in the natal make it important enough to check for in the latter four. (The D1/1st is the natal.)

What to Look At Conjunctions in the D1 are immediate and innate blessings, from birth or early in life, instilled prior to maturity. In the D20 conjunctions signify blessings earned through mutual worship between god and native. Conjunctions in the D7 are blessings earned by one's contributions, creations, and conceptions. Conjunctions in the D9 are blessings of destiny through time - earned by surviving, finding the soulmate or soul's purpose, fulfilling one's fate.

Why to Look These conjunctions infer a god's blessing and kinship. A blessing is not necessarily a promise of happiness, greatness, or success - only the correlation to the god's domain and the god's stories. Many who have been blessed by a god have suffered, sometimes as a result of that blessing, sometimes in ways totally unrelated. Still, it's important to look now so that when circumstances involving the god's domain arise, one is already aware of how it features in the chart, if at all.

I nearly never refer to Harmonics differently than Divisional charts when the charts are the same, but I suggest referring to Cochrane or someone similar if that's how you prefer to do things.

Should your godly object be in...

Conjunction with Ascendant This suggests a godly blessing over your intrinsic being. You are infused with the god's domain. There is no precedent for you being this way - you were not caused to become this way by outside forces. You simply are, by your very Nature.

Conjunction with Moon This suggests a godly blessing over your inner world. That includes your mind, your emotions, and your past. This god's domain is your home - it nurtured you when you were neglected. This aspect suggests a personal history and a childhood that parallels or connects to the god in question.

Conjunction with Sun This suggests a godly blessing over you in the grand scheme of things. Your choices heavily impact the realm of the god in question, and your path in life is tied to them. This is a strength you grow into over time, as a result of your nature and how you were nurtured combining.

Conjunction with Mars This suggests a godly blessing over your motivations. Whatever it is you prize in life, whatever drives you, makes you passionate, is linked to this god's heavenly domain. You'll find them in playmates, flings, and your self image.

Conjunction with Mercury This suggests a godly blessing over your ability to observe and communicate. Both your use of language and the messages you strive to share with others will be touched by this god. You'll find them in siblings and peers.

Conjunction with Juno This suggests a godly blessing over your passions. You will be drawn to those blessed by this god, or whom resemble them, for better or worse. You'll find them in those you are magnetically attracted to.

Conjunction with Vesta This suggests a godly blessing over your practices born of devotion. Whatever you most solemnly hold in your heart - hobbies, people, ideas - will be tied to this god and their realm. You'll find them in your loyalest bonds.

Conjunction with Pars Fortunae This suggests a godly blessing over your fortune. This god endows you with luck, fortune, and good instincts in their realm. You'll find them in your happiest coincidences.

Conjunction with Medium Coeli This suggests a godly blessing over your honor - both in terms of image and service. This god will control your duty and fulfillment to the public. You'll find them in your professional life and reputation.

Conjunction with Descendant This suggests a godly blessing over your partnerships. In business, romance, and dynamics wherein the pairs define each other negatively, such as rivalries, you'll find this god within, astride, or opposing you.

Conjunction with Imum Coeli This suggests a godly blessing over your home life. Your most private affairs, and anything to do with your childhood, especially those you lived with and who you were around them, is where you will find this god.

Any other objects hold notably less significance, but can be referenced if the orb is tighter than 1º.

Other Aspects to Look For

Conjunctions in one of the charts mentioned are necessary for a godly asteroid to be considered prominent enough to convey a blessing! But if you have a tight major aspect, here is what that might mean for you. All the examples given are natal.

Oppositions The god is magnetic to you. Imagine two opponents circling one another in a ring. You want to get close but doing so means inciting conflict or worse. You desire their attention, or the blessing of their domain, but they fundamentally oppose you. Check the placements of gods that are considered part of a pair with the god in question, or gods that are in some way opposed to them.

A good mythological example of godly object opposition would be Heracles, or Hercules. If we imagine his natal chart, his sun would likely be in opposition with asteroid Hera [103] or Juno, but then her husband, and Hercules's father, Zeus [5731] might be conjunct the hero's sun or Jupiter.

A real world example would be Courtney Love, who has Apollo [1862] opposite Chiron, the asteroid that rules wounds, healing, and soulmates. Music drew her and Kurt Cobain together magnetically, but their relationship also directly counteracted the good public standing, celebration, and artistic vision Apollo represents.

An odd example of my own would be that I have the planet Mars, synonymous with Ares who has no asteroid by that name, opposite Saturn. Ares's lover is Venus, who also goes by Aphrodite, and when I check asteroid Aphrodite [1388], it's actually conjunct Saturn - and so it is also opposite her partner, Mars/Ares, lol!

Another, more straight-forward (and even freakier) example of my own would be how I have Semele [86] opposite Jupiter, which conjuncts Zeus. Semele is the mother of Dionysus, otherwise known as Bacchus, with Zeus as the father, and I have Dionysus [3671] conjunct my Ascendant and Bacchus [2063] conjunct my moon.

Trines The god looks kindly on you. You are not blessed, but you are treated kindly in their domain. The aspecting object may also indicate a favored god from their lineage or retinue freely blesses you. The relationship is not necessarily friendly or familiar - it is more so indicative of light than warmth. The god acknowledges you with a nod, and perhaps a smile, politely encouraging you onward.

A mythological example might be Orpheus. If we imagine his natal chart, his Venus, Mars, Chiron, Rahu, or some combination of them might be trine Hermes [69230] or Mercury. The messenger god doubles as the guide of the dead, and also watches over travelers and thieves. While Hermes does not oft appear in original iterations of the myth, no doubt a musician who travels into the realm of the dead in hopes of stealing back his bride would have his nod of approval.

For my own example, I have Sun trine Ceres, so I check aspects to Persephone [399], as Sun rules the 5th, which rules children. It turns out I have Persephone conjunct my moon, which makes sense as I was raised the only daughter by a protective, devoted single mother, estranged from a warm father located a great distance away from us.

Squares The god challenges you, and you chafe against them. The god will force you to struggle before achieving success in their domain, and in your struggle you may be forced to seek allies either within their retinue or in the ranks of their enemies. Depending on placement specifics, and personal fortitude, this can contribute more substantially to success than a trine - but only in the right circumstances.

A mythological example would be Paris. I can imagine a great many possible squares formed between his Sun, Mercury, or Mars, with the asteroids Pallas, Athene [881], or Minerva [93], or even the previously mentioned Hera and Juno.

A real world example of both godly trines and squares at play can be seen in the chart of Tobias Forge, the founder and lead of the popular rock band, Ghost. He has Apollo, god of music, disease, and prophecy, square his sun and trine his Ketu/South Node simultaneously, so I check the Muses as potential retinue blessings and find he has Kalliope conjunct his Pholus, Klio and Urania conjunct his Neptune, and Erato conjunct his moon. More information on the Muses here.

Sextile Remember how I said that trines are more light than warmth? Sextiles are more warmth than light. The gods of objects with this aspect in your chart are amused by you and would like to entertain you in turn. They are not likely to offer divine intervention - they are more likely to lend a friendly ear or hand. Closer in bond, but smaller in scale - that's the effect of sextile from a godly object. That, and a flair for causing the native harmless troubles and mischief.

A mythological example would be the bonds between, Dionysus Hermes, and Apollo - they do not intervene on each other's behalves, no, but they are friendly with one another, perhaps even lovers. This well displays the trickster tendencies of sextile aspects as well - these three gods were fond of egging each other on and messing with each other's heads. Note also, that Gemini, ruled by Hermes, and Leo, ruled by Apollo, are sextile signs!

A real world example would be Madame de Pompadour, who had Athene sextile Venus, establishing a playful connection between rationality, wit, and reason, and the romantic ideas and endeavors of the native. Further research reveals she actually also has Eros conjunct her Mercury - turning the playful link between intelligence and passion into a solid and indisputable connection.

Quintile A strange connection which indicates that the native and the god have a unique role to play to one another - them in your life and you in their domain. I've found Quintiles to be entirely context dependent, but always complex to figure out. This aspect turns the correlation between god and native into a puzzle.

For a real world example, Trent Reznor, frontman of Nine Inch Nails, has Apollo quintile both his Mercury and his Pallas, and the lyrics of his songs are provocative, inciting controversy but also undeniably iconic. (If you haven't listened to Closer, go do it... Also, now's when I remind you that my blog is 18 and up.) He also has three Muse conjunctions, with Kalliope conjunct Juno, Klio conjunct Pars Fortunae, and Euterpe conjunct his Sun.

Pallas (Athena) in houses

Athena was in mythology the daughter of the god Olympus (the Romans called her Minerva) and was born from the head of Zeus. Athena symbolizes knowledge and wisdom and is the feminine manifestation of the divine Mind and perfect intuitive perception. It governs the relationship between father and daughter and in general the relationship where there is a form of imbalance and abuse of power and authority.

In astrology shows the way we have to learn and create spiritually, it is related to the arts, politics, therapy, but also to alienation, competition and the fear of success. It is also related to issues of science, genetics and biotechnology, but also strategy, since in mythology Athena was a view of the war and helped many warriors with her advice.

Pallas in 1st: Here we are dealing with charismatic people, who usually manage with characteristic ease to identify problems and eventually manage them or even solve them permanently. The person is very reasonable and is characterized by high levels of rationality. Guide in life is thinking and those around them consider the very intelligent and fair. They draw their strength from themselves, but they may care more about solving their own problems than those of their social environment.

Pallas in 2nd: These people have talent in managing their financial issues. In fact, they manage with particular ingenuity to overcome even the most serious economic crises, utilizing the practical spirit and rationality that characterize the!. In addition, they usually adopt a strong system of moral values ​​and principles, based on justice and objectivity, and follow it throughout their life. Finally, they manage to express their views on the proper management of both money and other material resources with simplicity and clarity.

Pallas in 3rd: These people have a unique way of communicating with those around them. Their speech is characterized by objectivity, accuracy and clarity. They can be an excellent user of speech, both in writing and orally. There may be an inclination to mathematics and, more generally, to learning and gathering information. Their mind is like a "sponge" that absorbs easily and memorizes quickly. Discussion and exchange of information help them to deal successfully with their own problems. Finally, some talent in writing texts or even in teaching is possible.

Pallas in 4th: The house of these people is a safe environment, in which they can think and find the solutions they need for the various problems they face. In addition, they advise with absolute objectivity and ingenuity their parents and, in general, their family members. These people need privacy in order to grow on a mental level, while their own past can be a source of inspiration for them. Asteroids Part 6; Sisterhood of Pallas Athena, Symbolism of the Asteroid Pallas Athene

The long overdue sixth part of my asteroid series is finally here. 

 The asteroid Pallas Athene is one of the more prominent asteroids covered in the astrological community thanks to Demetra George’s “Asteroids Goddesses; The Mythology, Psychology, and Astrology of the Re-emerging Feminine.” In this part, I will cover the asteroid’s symbolism and interpretation based on mythology, gathered research from authors such as Demetra George, and my own knowledge.

 The ancient Greek goddess Athena may have been synonymous with the Egyptian goddess Neith and possibly other earlier known goddesses. Throughout this asteroid series ( and just in general for my astrological interpretations) I’ve tried to peel back further from Greek origins and more toward Kemetic or Sumerian origins for a pure and truly ancient understanding of asteroids named after Greek deities. However, I’ve accepted that for Pallas Athene, the Greek mythologies derive important symbolism that just isn’t clearly depicted from what we know of Neith or other earlier goddesses synonymous with Athena.

The Mythologies of Athena

 Athena is the goddess of war and wisdom. She was revered by gods alike and those who worshipped her for her remarkable strength, courage, wit, and creativity. Her birth story begins with Zeus swallowing the titan Metis who was carrying the unborn Athena. After some time had passed, Zeus develops a headache that would only be cured by Hephaestus’ splitting open his skull. Out from Zeus’ skull Athena is born as a fully grown woman encompassing all of her remarkable traits. Athena was Zeus’ favourite child, for she was his creation; so purely in his image of goodness, power, and wisdom.  Like Vesta (or Hestia), she is a virgin goddess, she serves herself and is whole with herself. Though, she had a friend who she quite possibly could have been in love with and she did love; Pallas.

Athena and Pallas  Pallas was the daughter of Triton. She was equal to Athena in wisdom and the art of war. They were partners in battle and one day the gods were disputing which of the two goddesses were stronger. So the two goddesses sparred and Zeus interfered allowing Athena to have the upperhand. Unfortunately this ended up fatally wounding Pallas. Athena was so heartbroken that she added Pallas’ name to her own to honour her. While it is never mentioned in the myth between these two goddesses, I speculate the possibility that their relationship may have been more, possibly as lovers in war. In ancient Greek and Roman times, it was a known practice that soldiers would often become romantically involved with one of their peers, even if they had a partner back at home. This was because they believed you would fight better for someone you love, especially if it was to avenge the death of a lover. 

Athena and Medusa  While there are several interpretations of this particular myth, the one that I find significance with is the one that describes Athena aiding Medusa.   Medusa was said to once be a very beautiful woman who made a vow for herself to remain virginal. However, her beauty drew on the male gaze and she was preyed upon against her will. The ocean god Poseidon tried to have his way with Medusa, but Athena stepped in and transformed Medusa into an ugly creature with snakes for a head of hair, and anyone who looked into Medusa’s eyes would turn stone.   This myth often depicts Athena as jealous of Medusa’s beauty, but in truth, this would be extremely out of character for Athena who’s not concerned with how others perceive her, particularly men. Athena cloaks Medusa with ugliness as a defense– as a way to protect Medusa from unwanted attention. This myth parallels greatly with the internal struggle many people have, particularly women, with the threats and vulnerability that coincide with embracing beauty and femininity. 

Helper to Heroes  Athena often makes appearances in myths about a hero’s journey and aids the hero in some way. She often has some sort of valuable foresight or tool to give the hero. Mortals look to her for her strength, wit, and strategy.   The story with Medusa continues as Athena actually aids Perseus upon hearing he needs to take Medusa’s head. She gives him a reflective shield so he can see Medusa without looking into her eyes and turning to stone. Many of the common interpretations of this myth state that Athena hated Medusa which is why she was so willing to help Perseus on this quest. However, following the interpretation I mentioned where Athena turned Medusa into a gorgon for her protection, Athena would have been the only one to understand the circumstances of Medusa. In addition to this, in the myth itself Medusa plays more-so as a symbolic prop instead of a character. Particularly because Medusa as a gorgon is described as having snakes for hair– snakes in myths can (but not exclusively) symbolize treachery and bad spirits needing to be expelled. We see this in stories like Inanna and the Huluppu tree where people often confuse “lilītu” with the actual archetype or character Lilith; there was no Lilith in that story, just spirits needing to be expelled from a tree.

The Seer  Athena is often described by poets as being “grey-eyed” and there is symbolism behind this. According to Wikipedia the choice to describe her this way is quite deliberate; “In Homer’s epic works, Athena’s most common epithet is Glaukopis (γλαυκῶπις), which usually is translated as, “bright-eyed” or “with gleaming eyes”. The word is a combination of glaukós (γλαυκός, meaning “gleaming, silvery”, and later, “bluish-green” or “gray”) and ṓps (ὤψ, “eye, face”). It is interesting to note that glaúx (γλαύξ, “little owl”) is from the same root, presumably according to some, because of the bird’s own distinctive eyes.” Athena is also often depicted as or with an owl which is all deliberate symbolism of her wisdom, keen perception, and foresight. There is a seer quality about Athena that is tuned into aiding justice and heroism.

 Pallas Athene being an asteroid, only with prominence in the birth chart will her themes and the complexes arising out of those themes be noticeable. Otherwise, Pallas Athene in one’s birth chart demonstrates where one tends to have strategic foresight/vision, where one meets Pallas Athene-like characters, and where one is called to serve justice.

Aspects to Pallas Athene

Sun-Pallas Athene In hard aspects, such as a square or opposition, this contact can be quite troublesome and makes for complexes the individual will have to fight to overcome. The difficult aspects signify negative experiences with the paternal figure in their life which translates over into adulthood as having distrust in and difficulty with men. As most societies are patriarchal, these aspects tend to be harder for feminine identifying individuals. These individuals are keenly aware of the violence that can coincide with objectification, particularly the objectification of feminine expression. When this type’s innate identity is objectified, defences are put up and they reject and conceal their expression. Being viewed in a sexual nature in an unwarranted way kills the confidence in these individuals; it conflicts with how they view themselves as an entire being and their purpose. Being comfortable with one’s sexuality can be an issue in the more difficult aspects with this contact as well; there may be shame, repulsion, or rejection of one’s sexuality. To aid these complexes, therapy as well as companionship and empathy from people who share the same experiences or trauma is beneficial.   In positive aspects, such as a trine or sextile, we see the opposite of the crippling experiences in the negative ones. These individuals tend to be comfortable and even celebratory in either binary expression; they are often quite androgynous. They are also quite comfortable in their sexuality as well as they are firm believers in dismantling gender roles and heteronormativity. These individuals are fighters for people with Pallas Athene complexes and injustice in general. They have a tremendous amount of strength, empathy, and willingness to understand gendered, sexual, and political issues. These individuals can find their life’s purpose, fulfillment, and accomplishments through their intellectual creativity.  The conjunction brings out Pallas Athenian archetype within one’s character. These individuals will be very Pallas Athenian in that they will see within themselves the complexes that arise from both the positive and negative aspects. They often have quite a strong presence, cunning intellect, and the foresight vision.

Moon-Pallas Athene  In positive contacts, these aspects bring out the psychic nature of Pallas Athene– Pallas Athene’s foresight and the wisdom in part with that. These individuals are empaths and healers. In the positive aspects, this is Pallas Athene reconciled with the fact that she never knew her mother; in individuals, it is a deep connection with the maternal expression within them (through a Pallas Athenian lens) or a deep connection with the maternal figure in their life. They can be quite defensive and unless the Sun has prominence in the chart, they can also disguise their expression and true identity. These individuals can be quite masculine, over-functioning, and independent; they fear depending on others and self incompetence. To aid these complexes, they need to surround themselves with people that can bring out the softer nature hiding within them; they need to see that being nurtured and loved does not diminish their strength and ability.  The conjunction brings out complexes that resemble both the positive and negative aspects, though the maternal figure is most often present like in the positive contacts. Mercury-Pallas Athene  In positive aspects and the conjunction, we see individuals with immense creative intellect. These people are often leaders in the fields of science, art,  politics, and law. As Pallas Athene touches the planet of communication, these individuals will often have a powerful voice, especially for those who don’t and are in need of justice. Venus-Pallas Athene  The Venus contacts to Pallas Athene can be quite similar to the Sun contacts in that the complexes surrounding feminine expression tend to be the same. In the negative aspects, such as the square or opposition, there is the same repulsion towards feminine expression in oneself. It stems from fears developed from observing a patriarchal society’s perception of women and sometimes trauma. There may even be internalized misogyny present as these individuals have a tendency to reject traits that could be perceived as feminine, as they equate femininity to weakness and incompetence. These individuals present themselves as tough, rigid, unlike the others, and often androgynous or hyper masculine. They fear being taken advantage of and avoid any sign of weakness at all costs. Their inability to let their guard down can hinder close relationships; these people often deny themselves of romantic connections and keep everyone at arm’s length. To cope, these individuals will put all of their focus into creative outlets and put their accomplishments on a pedestal over relationships. As Pallas Athene aspects tend to make for, these individuals also tend to be express themselves androgynously, but are comfortable with feminine expression. They are very celebratory over it, similar to the Sun aspects. These individuals tend to be quite independent, but definitely not closed off. There is often an urge to utilize their strength and confidence in advocating for women’s right and issues, and it should be encouraged as these individuals are often the perfect candidate to advocate on  these issues. Empathy for same-sex experiences is a prominent theme for both the positive and negative aspects; the natural connectivity or alliance with one’s gender makes them feel protected and valid.   With the conjunction, many of the themes found in the Venus-Pallas Athene aspects are intensified. Pallas Athene is somewhat personified in the individual and there is a much more radical need to demonstrate their autonomy over how they choose to express themselves. Expressing themselves through creative means is often very important and almost always contains a very Pallas Athenian message.

Mars-Pallas Athene  In positive contacts, such as a trine or sextile, Mars emphasizes that accomplishments and success can be found through Pallas Athene. Individuals with these aspects make excellent leaders, people want to nominate this type of individual to be in control and make the decisions. These individuals have a lot of drive, strength, and prestige, as well as empathy and compassion that does not diminish those qualities. There’s a keen awareness for underdogs and an urge to aid those beneath them. In feminine identifying individuals, utilizing masculine traits yields success, and in masculine identifying individuals, utilizing feminine traits yields success. Strong, lifelong companionship with the opposite sex is a common theme with these aspects as well.   With negative aspects, such as a square or opposition, there can be intense strife with the opposite sex. Additionally, strife with one’s own gendered expression; either hyper masculine or hyper feminine to conceal one side of the binary. Much of the repulsion towards one specific expression is due to societal conditioning as well as upbringing; it’s a defense mechanism to protect themselves from being perceived as either too weak or too harsh. There can be a lot of anger within the negative aspects as well; it would be best to redirect this anger towards a cause, such as advocating for women’s rights, men’s mental health support, protecting children (particularly if the 5th house is involved), environmentalism, sexual freedom, religious freedom, and so on. Therapy and support groups can aid self resentment and resentment towards the opposite sex.   With the conjunction, Pallas Athene is personified in the individual when they are challenged or angry. They may be quite radical, independent, and domineering; they are always in charge. They despise being perceived as incompetent or submissive. Pallas Athene’s strategic and cunning qualities are apparent in the conjunction as well; these individuals are not people you can fool or surpass, especially when a goal is on the line.

Jupiter-Pallas Athene  In all Jupiter contacts, Pallas Athene’s psychic foresight is present. Individuals with these aspects are blessed with intuition and wisdom. They hold valuable advice and counsel to others as well as themselves. They tend to be respected by many; their companionships and kinships are their armies.  Particularly in the positive aspects and the conjunction, these individuals would do well in politics, law, and creative arts. Serving justice is particularly important to this asteroid when in contact with Jupiter. Symbolically Jupiter is Zeus, Athena’s father, who loved and praised Athena the most out of all of his children. This may translate as an individual who had a similar positive relationship with their father; a father who is particularly proud of the individual, who may also could have been quite Jupiter-like. It also signifies the urge to be the same type of parental figure to their own children.

Saturn-Pallas Athene  With positive aspects, such as a trine or sextile, there is creative focus and prestige. The hard work from these individuals doesn’t go unnoticed. Saturn amps up Pallas Athene’s urge to serve justice; there’s often feelings of responsibility over something as big as society. These individuals would do well in law, politics, or any position of leadership. Reconstruction of societal values is a common theme with these aspects.
