I'd seen lots of people describe Night in the Woods as being heavily rooted in the experience of growing up in a dying small town in the American Rust Belt, but somehow nobody told my West Virginian ass that it's so Appalachian that I probably live closer to where Mae's house would be than to the nearest IKEA.

Noelle says in chapter 2 that Dess always wanted to take her away to a "big city", I wouldn't be surprised if the girls had runaway fantasies being unhappy with living under their mother. And just plain being bored of their small town. Because of that, Noelle might have thought Dess ran away without her - constantly searching her name over the years not necessarily for news on a criminal investigation but seeing if she popped up on social media somewhere. She may still wonder if Dess abandoned her, maybe a thought that haunts her.

Seeing “Love finds its way to the girl” in the prophecy gave me a chill. I’m surprised I haven’t seen another post talking about the fact that Love in Undertale is Level of Violence and is directly related to killing. I’m afraid love finding its way to the girl isn’t going to be the sweet romantic plot point we (and Susie) are hoping for.

My manager was like. "I found the best video on YouTube" and I said "oh?" And he said it's called "one hour of silence periodically interrupted by the sound of a metal pole clanking" and proceeded to play it

Every time the pole clanks he spooks like a wild horse and keeps getting more and more frustrated

We are about 20 minutes in and he's like "god I can't wait for this to be over" refusing to turn it off
