6-year-old Joan Al-Habil is has been repeatedly hospitalized due to severe gastrointestinal problems and overwhelming fatigue. This poor girl has been to multiple facilities and seen multiple doctors, undergone extensive testing (as extensive as is possible in Gaza's collapsed medical system), even having to endure an unsedated endoscopy.

She has now been diagnosed with severe gastritis due to starvation and hazardous living conditions. Remember, she and her family are living on the streets, which are cold and wet due to winter rain. Homelessness, stress, exposure to the elements, her previous injury when the lOF firebombed her tent, and malnutrition all conspire to sap little Joan of her strength.

Her condition is so serious that she even had to undergo surgery. Gastritis very rarely requires surgery to treat, so this is an indication of how dire her condition is. The surgery was successful to a degree, but she is going to need ongoing treatment to manage her symptoms.

The treatments are administered weekly and cost $500 USD (just under €500 EUR). Her family has no income and cannot afford this. If Joan goes more than a few days without treatment, her symptoms worsen rapidly, and she sometimes has to be hospitalized. It is vital that we help her family procure her treatments so that her condition does not worsen!

“2 million liters of fresh and clean water delivered in North Gaza since mid-June! Today, we are glad to share with you that we reached a new remarkable milestone in North Gaza of delivering 2 million liters of fresh water. That is the equivalent 666,667 3-liter drinking portions of water OR 4 MILLION small water bottles over the course of the past 5 months. Counting today's deliveries we have provided 2,021,000 liters using 314 trucks in total.

The last milestone we set was on September 20th when we reached 1 million liters. This means that we have been averaging around 15,000 liters every single day in North Gaza and we don't plan to stop! hi everyone, this is a fundraiser for a very dear friend of mine. i've fundraised for her here a few yrs ago when she got injured and her phone got broken when her and other friends of ours were attacked in the street, maybe u remember. don't want to share her name and social media profiles bc she wants to fundraise privately but if you want more info and details please write to me.

she's a trans woman in istanbul who's very important to us and our community and she needs money urgently to pay some debts and avoid legal action about it, pay her rent, medical expenses and living expenses until she is back on her feet. there's more info at the link but basically we worked at the same bar and she was our manager and our then-boss randomly fired her one day bc he's a dickhead and it's been difficult since as employment for trans women is extremely limited in turkey. this is a person i love and care about deeply, is very important to our community here and is also an incredibly talented and creative artist.

I am one of the sons of Al Shati refugee camp, and a survivor of Al Shifa hospital massacre. Does anybody care to hear my story?

I live in Gaza city, where my youth was taken from me.

On 7-10-2023 I was asleep, my biggest concern was waking up in time for the 8am lecture at my university.

I'm in Al-Shati camp, south of Gaza. I'm sure you've heard of it. Today is 26-11-2024, it's been more than a year, and I'm still living outside my house. I don't understand why this happened, or why I'm still not in my house.

About two weeks ago was the anniversary of our displacement from northern Gaza to the south and since that day we've known nothing but hardship.

The tent where we live is inhabitable and cannot support any form of life in this cold and this rain and this flooding.

Of all these terrors, the memory of our displacement is the bleakest of them all.

On 10-11-2023, we experienced two days of siege on Al Shifaa hospital, without food nor drink nor even light to see around us, feeling our way like we're blind in order to move around, because even our phones had run out of battery, not even knowing whether the occupation has invaded the hospital yet or not, all we hear is the sound of ceaseless bombardment within the hospital's perimeter.

We lost a lot of people that day. Those who were detained, those who were murdered, and those whose fates are unknown to this day.

We couldn't believe it when the morning finally came, and we finally fled the hospital, to walk 20 kilometers on our feet through Al Halabat path after two days with no food or drink.

This is the story of one of Gaza's sons. My story is not singular, but one of many stories that strengthen our conviction in our right to this land. Most of us here have died for this land.

Our condition today is horrible. This war is picking us off one by one. I am not willing to lose another member of my family. Causes of death are compounding, the latest of which is the cold and storms that the weather has brought.
