Final thoughts for September and October <3
Well, well, well the last two months of reviewing products flew by! Like where did the time actually go!?
The past two months I chose to review 8 different products over 2 months, both drug store and high end. This gave me the opportunity to give my honest opinions and put my best foot forward for you guys! :)
This experience was a good one as i’m so used to changing up my make up products every time I do my make up so it was interesting to stick to the same ones for each month. It was also so good to get into researching the products used and to know what I was using and reviewing for you guys! I’m so thankful to those who followed this journey! :) <3
OKAY FLASHBACK!
September, I reviewed 4 different products those being:
Makeup Revolution conceal and define foundation. (Shade: F1)
Makeup Revolution reloaded Lustre Lights (Shade: Warm)
Morphe Eyeshadow palette (Shade: E5B Colour burst artistry)
Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder (Shade: Peach)
Two of these products were drug store and two were high end. Guess which ones prevailed if you remember?!
THE DRUG STORE ONES! Both these Makeup Revolution products surprised me big time and honestly, they’re staying in my make up collection. For the price they give high end products a run for their money definitely.
The Makeup Revolution conceal and define foundation definitely is a great dupe for the Tarte Shape Tape foundation which does cost $54 in Sephora stores. The coverage of this product was spot on and for $18 it is so worth it. I definitely again recommend for new make up users or for those who want a build-able foundation, very much worth it but also take into account it does oxidise a bit and the tones are a bit pink in some of the shades! :)
The Reloaded Lustre Lights palette in the shade warm, stunning. I use this most times when I wear make up these days due to the fact it makes your skin look so glowy and nice, especially perfect for spring and summer which gives your skin some dimension. $10 for 4 shades too! Can’t go wrong and honestly you can use this palette in so many ways. Honestly a dream!
Both the Morphe Eyeshadow palette and the Peach Perfect Mattifying powder weren’t for me, in saying this they could be for you! As high end products I did have high standards for the price but honestly in the end with these it will come down to personal preference as my skin type and eyeshadow preferences could be different to yours! :)
The PRESENT
October, the month of Halloween! I again reviewed 4 different make up products, these being:
Mac Strobe cream (Shade: Peachlite)
Tarte shape tape concealer (Shade: 22n Light neutral)
Revolution loose baking powder (Shade: Lace)
Anastasia Beverly Hills Novina palette
What a month this was! This month more high end over drug store products were reviewed and to be honest, I was surprised.
Let me begin with the Mac Strobe cream in the shade, Peachlite. I was shocked with this due to the fact even under such a matte foundation it still managed to make my skin glow. This product did not effect the way foundation sat on my skin at all and it was so light. I know this is more of an expensive product as it is a MAC product but if you’re willing to splurg for Spring and Summer, it is absolutely worth the $56 and it will last as you do not need much! I would recommend this definitely to anyone looking for something to help their make up not look as flat, if you're not willing to purchase full size at any MAC counter they do give out samples to try! :) The shade range in this is unreal too.
Tarte shape tape concealer.... it lives up to it’s name definitely.. hands down! Such a necessity to have in your make up kit in my eyes due to the fact it’s the perfect concealer. Yes, it can be cakey when not set but when set it is absolutely stunning. It can also be used as an eyeshadow base and to cut out the crease due to the full coverageness. It’s an amazing product and I definitely recommend this to whoever is looking for a new full coverage concealer to add to their collection. It will last as a little bit goes a long way! :)
After Septembers powder flop I decided to again, go for a Makeup Revolution product.  I got at Priceline pharmacy for $12 and to be honest that is pretty cheap for the amount of product you get. Definitely the perfect powder for if you’re just getting into make up or refuse to pay a ridiculous amount for one.  I used this to set my face and a few different types of concealers and it makes your skin so smooth and soft looking. DRUM ROLL PLEASE... The good news is, with flash photography.. IT DOES NOT LEAVE A WHITE CAST! HOW GOOD! So you won’t be looking ghostly in photos.
Ah the Anastasia Beverly Hills Novina Palette, very blendable palette, nice shades but you just don’t get the depth and dimension you want on your eyes in my opinion. Shades tend to look muddy but the shimmer shades... stunning when applied with your finger or a wet brush. You definitely can get similar eyeshadow palettes from the drug store for so much cheaper that are better. Depends on your preference but save your $76 honestly and go have a look for a cheaper one that will give you same effect! :)
Over these two months what I have realised is that no matter if drugstore or high end, make up is make up! and there will always be something that is right for you but not for someone else, it’s just a matter of gaining some knowledge and knowing what your budget is for make up. You don’t need to go out and buy the most expensive things when a lot of the time drug store products are genuinely just as good! :)
THERE ARE NO RULES WITH MAKE UP which is a tip you should always remember. There is no right or wrong way to do it, it’s all about self expression! :)
The past two months of reviews have been my opinions and I hope they help with choices when coming to buy make up!
THANKYOU FOR FOLLOWING! <3
Remember to leave any questions or feedback in the questions tab at the top of the blog! :)

FINAL THOUGHTS FOR OCTOBER!
I reviewed some products of the month of October, same way I did in September! :) Here are some of my final thoughts, recommendations and comparisons for you guys! :)
Tumblr media
Mac Strobe cream (Shade: Peachlite):
At the beginning I was so curious about this product as many beauty influencers have raved about it, in particular Nikki Tutorials! I love this product and it in my opinion is definitely worth the $56 in my opinion as you really do not need much for it to give you the fully glowy effect. It doesn't effect other products it used with and honestly it looks just as stunning by itself as it does under make up. If you feel like splurging, this is honestly a winning product because it is a primer and illumanizer in one so you're getting ideally two products in one! :)
PROS:
- Don’t need to use a lot of product to get full effect.
- Doesn't effect other products and the way they sit on the face.
- Different colour options available.
CONS:
-Expensive!!
OVERALL I give this product 10/10! <3
Tarte shape tape concealer (Shade: 22n Light neutral):
For me this is the perfect concealer, for the price you will only need to buy 1 or 2 tubes a year due to the fact you really do not need much at all! This product in my eyes is on the heavier side so definitely not the best for natural looks but for more glam looks. It lasts but you definitely need to set it with a powder because it will be cakey if you don’t! Honestly more of a matte concealer so if you’re looking for a more hydrating product this probably isn't for you! :) In my opinion Tarte have absolutely outdone themselves here and I love this product, definitely understand why it’s a favourite in the beauty world. <3
PROS:
- Product will last you ages!
-Value for money.
- Huge shade range! :)
CONS:
- Can be cakey.
- Not very hydrating.
- Only available at SEPHORA.
OVERALL I give this product a 9/10! <3
Revolution loose baking powder (Shade: Lace):
This powder impressed the hell out of me. Doesn't make my undereye area look dry after I bake which sometimes other powders do. It's the perfect colour for my skin tone as well which is a massive plus. I used this all over my face as I’m quite oily. It works through out the day without any touch ups and is perfect for the price point and honestly I recommend it to everyone, very affordable and you get a huge amount of product. This can be compared to the Ben Nye powders, but honestly I do believe this powder is better as it sets but also brightens plus has multi uses! :)
PROS:
- Affordable!
- Value for money
- Perfect for baking the face or just dusting.
- Big shade range!
CONS:
- All colours not available in stores yet.
- A bit messy leading to loss of product.
OVERALL I give this product 10/10! <3
Anastasia Beverly Hills Novina palette:
Save your money guys, as much as I love the formula and how it blends you definitely can get cheaper palettes with similar colours. $76 for 14 shades is honestly a bit steep and I think you’re just paying for the brand :)
PROS:
- Blendable formula.
CONS:
- Expensive
OVERALL I give this product a 5/10! <3

BOO! HA, gotcha ;)
Here we are at another mid way point, crazy hey! Here are some more thoughts on the products for October currently! <3
Mac Strobe cream (Shade: Peachlite):
Honestly, for spring and for summer this will make your make up look bloody stunning and glowy! I have tried this with a few different foundations to test if it effects them in anyway and honestly, this product doesn't. I’m really loving this so far and honestly you can also wear this product alone if you just want a natural glow on your natural skin which I have worked out. So far I'm loving it and I don't see it letting me down anytime soon! :) SO FAR I RECCOMEND. The shade peachlite is perfect for fairer skin definitely.
Tarte shape tape concealer (Shade: 22n Light neutral):
I understand why this is a cult favourite. It’s now one of my favourites! Very buildable and full coverage. This is a concealer you definitely have to set or I feel it does get a bit cakey when you don't. It also works very well on covering spots. If you’re looking for a lighter concealer I probably don’t recommend this to be honest. So far I do like this product but I would like to do a few more wear tests! :)
Revolution loose baking powder (Shade: Lace):
For the price and amount you get, honestly, it’s really good. I have used this to set my face and a few different types of concealers and it makes your skin so smooth and soft looking. I’m still to see if it does leave a white cast when taking flash photos but I have faith it won’t. Loving this so far! :)
Anastasia Beverly Hills Novina pallet:
So far this palette is good, very blendable, I don't mind the shades but I don't feel like there is enough depth within the palette to give my eyes definition. Few of the shades tend to look muddy but the shimmer shades are very stunning when applied with your finger. So far for what its worth I FEEL you can definitely get a cheaper palette with similar colours! A positive is though that shades to last the mile, they will remain vibrant on your eye for ages which I really really reaaaaaaaally appreciate! :)
Here is an eye look I did with all the products above used too! :)

WELCOME TO OCTOBER! Spooky Hey?
Tumblr media
I'm back with more products for another month, this time we have more high end products compared to drug store! :)
Mac Strobe cream (Shade: Peachlite):
I have always been so curious of this product as I have seen a lot of influencers boasting about this being really stunning and luminous under foundation, but because of the rise in other products similar I think it has been one that has been forgotten about so here I am on a mission to test it and hopefully revive it for you guys! This strobe cream is a product that ideally is a moisturiser that boosts the look of dull skin and luminizer with iridescent particles. There are 5 different shades of this product including pink (original), peach, silver, red and gold.
There are a few benefits and claims of this product which include smoothing of skin, improves clarity, provides radiance, hydrating and non acnegenic.
This product is not the cheapest coming in at $56 for 1.7 fl oz.
Excited to see how luminous this makes me look specifically underneath foundation! <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tarte shape tape concealer (Shade: 22n Light neutral):
This product seems to be everyone's favourite concealer and I'm ready to see if it lives up to what I've heard and seen. This product is a vegan (how good), super-blendable concealer that instantly helps brighten, smoothen and give the skin a firmer, more lifted look according to the Sephora website. This product is $40 on the Sephora Website (in Australia) and the product to be honest is quite big for a concelor which i’m very impressed about.
Tumblr media
Revolution loose baking powder (Shade: Lace):
Okay, so I first saw this product in Europe when I was over there then because Make up revolution came to Australia earlier this year I've gone out on a limb to try it and see if it lives up to the name as make-up revolution products in general have got great reviews despite being a cheaper brand. This face powder seems to be a favourite for prolonging the wear of makeup. This range of powder includes 10 different shades which cater to ALL skin tones which is actually phenomenal for a powder.
Shades include:
Translucent – for all skin tones
White – for the fairest skin tones
Banana Light – brightening for lightskin tones
Banana – brightening for medium skin tones
Banana Deep - brightening for medium to dark skin tones
Lace – for medium skin tones
Beige – for warm medium skin tones
Peach - colour balancing for medium to dark skin tones
Orange – colour balancing to dark skin tones
Deep Dark – for dark and deep skin tones
This powder I got at Priceline pharmacy for $12 and to be honest that is pretty cheap for the amount of product you get. I hope this powder works out better than last months!
Tumblr media
Anastasia Beverly Hills Novina palette:
If you don’t know this brand you’ve potentially been living under a rock (sorry). This product is very expensive for what it is coming in at $76 for just 14 shades. This full-pigment and easy-to-blend formula includes luxe packaging with a large mirror and double-ended brush. It seems to be a A go-to eyeshadow palette featuring fourteen whimsical shades ranging from bold and bright mattes to soft pastel shimmers.
Shades include:
DREAMER - metallic pink champagne
BASE - matte eggshell
SUMMER – metallic foiled golden topaz
SOUL - matte wisteria
WILD CHILD - duo-chrome frosty pink with a magenta shift
INCENSE - matte dusty terracotta
ROSE GOLD - metallic rosewood
LOVE - matte mid-tone cool pink
CELESTIAL - duo-chrome plum with a violet shift
VOLATILE - matte warm charcoal
DAZZLING – duo-chrome cool-tone bronze with a violet shift
ECCENTRIC - matte dark burnt orange
DRAMA - duo-chrome aubergine with a cool bronze shift
PASSION - matte deep garnet
This palette looks like a more usable pallet for everyday looks compared to last months Morphe, very excited to see what looks I can create with it! <3

FINAL THOUGHTS FOR SEPTEMBER!
So, as you guys can see I reviewed some products of the month of September. With a swift jump into Spring I chose 4 products I believed matched the season change and well, gave them a WHIRL! Here are some of my final thoughts, recommendations and comparisons :)
Makeup Revolution conceal and define foundation. (Shade: F1):
As I said in my half way check in, she’s a good product and honestly I do recommend purchasing this product~! It lasts the mile in most situations specifically if you go out.  To me this makes a great dupe for Tarte Shape Tape foundation which costs around $54 from Sephora. The coverage and finish are honestly spot on for me. The great thing about this is the price, to be honest $18 is really good and when Priceline in Australia has sales it normally comes down to about half of that. I have oily- combination skin and this just works like a dream!
PROS:
- Affordable! You’re getting your moneys worth.
- 45 Shades to choose from!
- Lasts with minimal touchups and remains flawless.
- Build-able coverage for any occasion.
CONS:
- Undertone choice for lighter shade is minimal.
- Oxidises and does get darker.
- The applicator isn’t the most hygienic.
OVERALL I do give it a 9/10 rating! <3
Makeup Revolution reloaded Lustre Lights (Shade: Warm):
If you prefer a glowy look over a matte or dewey foundation, buy this product immediately! It cannot be faulted. I have never used anything like it before and it definitely is value for money as you can use it for multiple things. For me it has become a favourite, $10 for 4 shades.. A DREAM.
PROS:
-Sits on skin perfectly without making base cakey looking.
- Multi use!
- Value for money with amount of product you get.
CONS:
- Too light for darker skin tones.
- Two options of shades.
OVERALL I do give it a 10/10 rating! <3
Morphe Eyeshadow palette (Shade: E5B Colour burst artistry):
This is a tricky one.. formula stunning! $35 though for the shades you can use DAILY is I don’t believe worth it. You can get other Morphe Palettes, same price if you’re wanting more everyday colours. This 35B palette in my eyes is more for if you’re going to a festival or something along those lines. I struggled using it everyday with the colours I was presented with! But in saying this, blends beautifully and if you’re willing to commit to the $35, honestly go for it.
PROS:
- Blends out perfectly!
- Colour lasts the full mile.
- Formula is VEGAN <3
CONS:
- Bulky packaging.
- Hard to use for everyday looks.
- Only available online.
OVERALL I give it a 6/10 rating! <3
Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder (Shade: Peach):
Honestly.. not a fan. The smell is very overpowering, sits averagely on the skin and honestly most drug store powders a better so don’t waste your time and  $49 on this when the Rimmel Transluscent powder at chemist warehouse when on sale costs around $8 is honestly so much better.
PROS:
- Pretty packaging.
CONS:
- Over powering fragrance.
- Expensive.
OVERALL I give this a 2/10 rating! <3

Let me tell you some TRUTH
Hi!
So, it’s been approximately 2 weeks since I chose 4 products to review and honestly so far, I really am not let down at ALL. In saying this though I do have some critiques.
Makeup Revolution conceal and define foundation. (Shade: F1):
Yes, I honestly would recommend this foundation. Its honestly beautiful and sits on the skin so smoothly. It’s very build able and I’ve worn this foundation going out and it has honestly lasted the mile (time wise) with minimal touch ups. In saying all this though I've noticed the shade F1 is more catered to individuals who have more of a pinky undertone compared to a yellow or neutral undertone, it also oxidises abit. Being one of the fairer shades i’m surprised and yes, it does seem as if it is quite pale but it does get darker with the more oxygen that hits it. At first I thought the powder might be adding to the colour change as that is a pink translucent but as I’ve used other powders with it, it still is quite pink and I feel if I went another shade it would be too dark for me.
Makeup Revolution reloaded Lustre Lights (Shade: Warm):
THIS PRODUCT, STUNNING. It is so beautiful, makes a dull face nice and glowy and is sitting on top of other products amazingly. Its very build able and doesn't make make up look caked on which i have noticed with some products similar. From first use to now, can’t recommend it enough and its becoming a favourite.
Morphe Eyeshadow palette (Shade: E5B Colour burst artistry):
Living for the adventurous looks I can do so far, every shade blends out beautifully AND most importantly the colour lasts. In saying this though, struggling to use this pallet for everyday use, its abit much for daily wear. This is the only problem so far.
Here is one of the looks I created:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder (Shade: Peach):
To be honest, not one of my favourites. The smell is very overpowering and for someone who is not a fan of fragrance, this powder definitely isn’t for you! It sits okay on the skin but to be honest for its price, I feel you can find cheaper powders for better. In saying this though so far it is pairing very well with the foundation!
Just checkin in, chat soon guys with my final verdict <3

Vibrant and Glowy; ready for SPRING
Coming out of Winter and straight into Spring gives us plenty of room for Vibrancy yeah? GLOWY AND VIBRANT ARE THE TREND!
Tumblr media
This month I will be trialling a few new products.
Makeup Revolution conceal and define foundation. (Shade: F1):
Being very fair, I’ve had to go for the second fairest shade available. This foundation currently has 45 shades which is pretty good for a foundation range and costs $18, which is not bad for a drug store foundation. This conceal and define foundation according to make up revolution which yes, is now available in Priceline in Australia is oil-free yet is still a creamy and comfortable formula that dries down to a long-lasting, demi-matte finish, it won't settle into fine lines or cling to dry patches on the skin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Makeup Revolution reloaded Lustre Lights (Shade: Warm):
Another Make up revolution product that I just couldn't go past. Only being $10 you get 4 shades. I felt out of the two shades, cool and warm, warm was the way to go. This being that I feel you could use more of the shades over bronzer, contour, blush and even over whole face (lightly) to achieve a really glowy, radiant look. Excited to see how this sits on the skin and works with other face products.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Morphe Eyeshadow palette (Shade: E5B Colour burst artistry):
35 shades for $35 from the Morphe Australia website, you absolutely cannot complain here. With Morphe being a brand very well known within the beauty community of course I had to give one of their eyeshadow palettes a whirl! I’ve gone for a vibrant almost kaleidoscope vibes for spring. This eyeshadow palette brings a squad of creamy, pigmented, super blendable shades for your eyes. This bold and bright palette for those who are feeling like going all out with their eyeshadow. There are endless looks you can get from this palette and it will be interesting to see if I get bored by it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder (Shade: Peach):
This is vegan, yes. This all over peach tinted translucent powder offers up to 14-hours of shine-free wear according to its description on the Mecca Maxima website. The matte formula is meant to set and extends the wear of any make up. It is available in two shades that flatter and brighten any skin tone. It does infact smell like peach and shockily enough its meant to taste like peach also. If you’re not into fragrance I can already tell you, this is not for you. I got this powder from Mecca Maxima and yes it is expensive being $49 for 35 grams. I will be keen to see if this powder prevails over cheaper ones, what is compares to and to see if it becomes one of my favourites.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’ll be trialling these products for the month of September! Excited to see the outcome and overall thoughts at the end of the month. Remember if you have any questions feel free to ask in the Questions tab. Check in with you soon!
