The Evolution of Rock Music

Fans of the purest guitar twig song do not like the new album of the Ebersberger Band Sunspiration. Too strong, they might say, too impulsive, too unpredictable. But these are the people whose headphones start to overdrive from the 75-decibel mark. Or who put wax lumps in the ears at the concert.

Lenni Bachmeier, Florian Heimbuchner, and Stefan Gackstatter think it does not always have to be pure melancholy. For a whole week, they are renting the studio to bring more into the new album.

Finally, by the mid-20s, the musicians no longer have to offer the sound of teenage years: The languishing folk-rock of that time has matured into adult alternative rock.

An artistic evolution, hence, in which the trademark, the two-part song, has remained; The two singers, however, get in for some great power choruses from empathetic vocals.

However, that does not mean that melancholy is over. She is just pushed into her limits. From electronic sound blips, from striking bass lines, to a belly-controlled dynamics in the backline and a drum kit, which is no longer a clock in the background, but drives everything with relish.

The big plus point of the two Ebersberger is looking for a way to track down a track. Perhaps this is because the lyrics were first created independently of the melodies and on top of that they did not come from the three musicians themselves.

Instead, they flowed from the pen of Violetta Ditterich. They are stories in everyday life full of details, metaphors, parables, and opposites: the stroller, for example, who stands out in the sun, that the coat is far too thin, while the three men in the next stanza, the thick jackets literally press down the shoulders. They all have a life story to tell, but in the end, they keep it to themselves.

Or the cold winter wind that drives you back to your warm home as your best friend and comes back as a warm summer wind - for the step out into life. Furthermore, the interpretive doors can hardly be pushed open.

For Bachmeier, Heimbuchner and Gackstatter it was a matter of musically exploring the soul of these texts. “That makes it easier to feel right in the music,” says Bachmeier. On the other hand, music and poetry do not grow together in this way.

The evenings at the kitchen table may have helped to get together. Because the musicians were successful, is not to be missed. Connoisseurs of the scene so see it that way. On the Munich Tollwood, for which an appearance has already been promised, the trio would probably not be put on stage.
