I struggled a lot with Apollo design since his suit and color palette was already so simple. Imo he hard to accessorize because of his power set.

Do you guys partial to hear me yap ab my design process? I can post a tutorial (?) on character design as a follow up.

Another hypothetical comic cover for a hypothetical timeline— pastiche of golden age illustrations from Saturday Evening Post and the American.

This pastiche has been living rent free in my head for like, 2 years now. It makes so much sense and literally writes itself.

everytime apollo is on comic pages fighting, i hear a greek epic level orchestra with a chorus of people singing. i don't know if this is universal but it makes reading so much cooler.

i can't wait to write him for my wildstorm to dc transfer to conjure this kinda vibes for him. beautiful, dangerous, kind, and downright horrifying when pissed.

A deep frustration I felt towards the original Authority run pertains to the complete lack of empathy towards the Doctor and his substance abuse.

I find a meta-contextual analysis of the Authority (and Wildstorm as a whole) so fascinating because these comics are time capsules. Consequently, Wildstorm comics provide insight to the American cultural zeitgeist of the late 90s and early 00s.

I think a lot my my personal gripes with the N52 and all subsequent renditions of WS is how DC's removes the context in which these characters are created in. I understand the desire to modernize with N52, but now, with 24 years of of hindsight, a piece of Wildstorm media that acknowledges the flaws, prejudices, and triumphs of its predecessor can be so, so poignant.
