questions/notes I had from readings
-Advertising has changed from just showing the product, to showing the product with atmosphere. This gives consumers more understanding and perhaps more reason to buy products. This also allows advertisers to target certain audiences.

Week 1 Readings + Atmospheres
Atmosphere, The basketball game
During my time playing for tawa college, my basketball team and I went to many other colleges to play. One game was in the Hutt, when we walked inside the gym the first thing I noticed was the ecstatic home crowd. The gym was already cramped, however there were high schoolers cheering from every corner of the gym. They’d bang their fists against the walls, they’d cheer for every point the home team got, and they even talked trash against us.
Like I said before, the gym was cramped, the outlines were shortened, and the surface of the court was slippery. Which made running and jumping a risk. We were playing against an average team, and a viscous crowd. By the end of the third quarter we were losing bad. That's when one of their players scored a point with a foul. Again the crowd exploded into louder cheers, making sure to let us know we were losing. the atmosphere in the room was electric for the home team. But soul crushing for us. we lost energy, we lost motivation. Never have I ever felt so claustrophobic in a basketball game than that night.
