miku expo 2024 is the dashcon of vocaloid concerts. the projectors were replaced with LEDs and organizers told no one, still charged ppl for the projectors. someone stole the Miku canada cut out. vocaloid producers are really mad that attendees are mad that they got scammed because nothing comes before Product. the event banned glowsticks and upcharged the sale of their own, under the excuse that average glowsticks would interfere with the projectors, that the organizers knew they did not have. someone pissed on the floor. car crash outside the venue in san jose

Welcome to my moving raffle! As I said this morning I'm hosting this to offload some dupes I've collected and make some quick scratch. This pile of stuff here has a realistic value of over 750 bucks so please enter if that is interesting to you! More stuff to know below! (This is a repost of stuff I already said on twitter).

MAIN Prize: Pictured pile of stuff! (More pics on twitter) It's all in good condition or mostly still wrapped. All are hardish to find on the english speaking market.

Second and Third Prizes: If I get 25 entries I will add a 2nd place prize which will be an 8/10 shikishi with your choice of character or characters! (Full color)3rd prize (35 entries) will be a 6x6 bristol with the same stipulations.If i get 40 entries I will have a 4th prize.

twitter is a cesspit obviously but it is still regrettably one of the best places to get followers and hock my wares, (as well as keep up with people, another main goal of mine) but lately it hasn't been very kind to me in terms of people seeing my stuff.

Tumblr has its ups and downs but is always consistent, and also there's the continuous trickle of notes days to months after posting something.

Instagram I hate, I hate the format, I hate the scrolling, I hate how everything is an ad on there, but I have seen some growth, and also people find stuff on there after you post it.

Twitter, if I post something and it doesn't gain traction in 20 minutes its dead forever and there is nothing I can do about it. We all have different ideas of success but it used to be I'd call an art post that got anything over 200 notes a small success and anything over a thousand a big one. Pretty humble... I guess? But if I get 10 over all these days I'm lucky.

This has the stench of complaining on it but I also have a point. I'll see mutuals and people I follow alike QRTing things and being like "thanks for 10-100 likes!!!" And im like. "Wow. It's gotten that fucking dire out here." And "I should be more thankful for what I do have." So thanks a lot!

i have been watching one piece for the first time. To preface I've been doing a little liveblog thread over on twitter, which has been very fun. This is not my first time with the media, I ran through what was available of the manga when covid first hit as my 'in case of emergency break glass' entertainment medium. But, my roommate is as blind as existing online allows.

I'm watching all the filler, and the movies as well.

As of right now I'm deep into water 7, we've met Franky, and we've watched up to movie 4. My favorite characters are chopper (that pikachu voice does wonders) and nami. Characters I enjoy more than I thought are Usopp (too much of looking into a mirror to not like his character) and sanji (he's funny and i love his voice). Side characters I fucking adore are Buggy and Vivi but these are common opinions.

My favorite filler so far is g8 (hoooooly fuck its sooooo gooooood) and long ring long land isn't as bad as I remember. Movie 2 is really cute and slept on I think.

And I go into a lot more stuff on twitter because I tweet when I'm watching.

Also, having a rough command of the japanese language and culture is really integral to get the full enjoyment of a really dense peice of media. There's so much shit that could benefit from a translators note. I miss those.

finished dunmeshi. It's not just good. It's Fullmetal Alchemist good, not a must-read, but an inevitable read. A paragon of it's genre. A truly 10/10 manga.
