              HER HANDS SKIMMED through the mess of his hair, trying to tame it aimlessly.  It wasn’t that she hadn’t known.  The anniversary had weighed heavily on their thoughts for the past few weeks.  When you live a public life, the media likes to sprinkle reminders of your darkest days without a thought for the psychological effects it could have.  “ I know, Tony and it’s okay. ”  She could only hope that Tony would confide in her instead of getting caught inside his thoughts.  “ I love you too but if you need to talk, I’m here for you.  I’m not going anywhere. ”

in case you couldn’t tell by the promo: unhingedscarlet > atonedchaos i’ve been unhappy with wanda’s url for a while so i’ve been slowly searching for a new one that fits my Wanda and her character (and also available) but I think I’m good now!

OH GREAT. POUTING. She’d call it her ‘one weakness’, but there’s a lot of weakness where Wanda was involved. The woman was like a giant piece of kryptonite for Natasha’s soul. Which was probably a good thing, given how being around Wanda soothed whatever anger Kylo brought up in her. “ Of course not, and I want to spend time with you, but the sun and beach aren’t my favorite things. I didn’t even realize there was much of a beach here. ”

         MAGIC COULD ONLY get her so far, somehow she needed to throw in some puppy eyes to get her a little more vantage.  Turning, she reaches out to take one of Natasha’s hands and pull her in closer.  “ We’re an island, dear.  There’s beach everywhere and there’s a private pool but I thought you’d like the privacy of the beach. ”  It was out of the eye of any staff of their home and from Kylo, two things Natasha was bound to enjoy.  “ I promise to make sure you don’t get burnt, just don’t pull an Anakin Skywalker on me, please. ”

            Hiding his mess wasn’t exactly his forte, it was well known how he got when he was in the midst of one of his spirals and it was very popular opinion to avoid him during them. Maybe it was the mortality he faced, his was always greater than everyone else’s. He couldn’t hide behind magic, powers or armour like others, he had to believe he was a weapon himself and do his best not to be broken in the process. “ Ah, there’s a fine line between brave and stupid and I find myself on the wrong side of it more than you seem to remember. And most of us seem to do this because of measurable childhood trauma. That’s probably the only thing I have in common with half these guys. ”

       EVERY MEMBER OF THE AVENGERS had weaknesses and strengths.  One of Clint’s strength was his heart and tenacity.  It wasn’t magic, it wasn’t god like strength or immortality, it was purely human and it kept him fighting.  “ Only if you frown upon your bravery.  Your heart counts for a lot in my books, even if it doesn’t mean much to you, ” she says with a shrug.  Magic was her power but also her downfall, some days she would give anything to be human instead of a mutant witch.  “ Is anything else wrong?  You seem kind of down on yourself? ”

So three years ago I delved into the world of indie rping with a little blog for Wanda. Three years later, a blog move, eight fc changes, a lot of hiatus’s and ranting about M*rvel, I’m still here!  This isn’t going to be a long thing, just a brief thank you to everyone who’s stuck around and doesn’t mind that I take a thousand years to reply sometimes. I love Wanda with all of my heart and I’m so glad that she’s the muse I’ve had for the longest.  Some very small shoutouts

*clears throat* Alright, let’s do this.

Nick Spencer has taken time away from harassing sex workers and “not” tweeting about politics to give us this gem. To point out the obvious: this makes no sense. Chthon is an omnipotent sadist whose whole shtick is that he can’t be controlled. He’s not a lackey for the worst Villain Sue this side of Ramsay Bolton. And yes, whatever you think about Regular!Steve, Nazi!Steve – or Nazteve, if you will – is 100% a Villain Sue, and Sansa should feed him to dogs.

But that’s not what I want to talk about. Saying “this doesn’t make sense” about a superhero comic is the lowest hanging fruit. No, I want to talk about metaphorical rape and specifically the fact that Wanda spends so much time having her body being overtaken at the hands of white male writers who haven’t thought at all about the implications of this.

Wanda has turned into the Kwannon to everybody’s Psylocke. Except, of course, that Pyslocke didn’t do it on purpose. How many times can white male writers strip a woman of color of her bodily autonomy so that some man can do whatever he wants with her before we collectively go this is sick? How many times do I have to be subjected to laser focus on Quicksilver’s feelings when there is no attention paid to how Wanda feels during or after? How many super hilarious victim-blaming jokes and callous remarks from random white women do I have to read?

Because a WOC’s body being colonized by a Nazi is the right time to throw in some Siq White Girl Quips™, isn’t that right, @jimzub? I’m sure you’ll be giving us more of those in the future.

Here’s the thing: I don’t give a fuck about how Quicksilver feels about Wanda being metaphorically raped. When this inevitably happens again, I don’t want any focus on how he feels about it. I don’t want him to suddenly be treated like he’s the only person who cares what happens to Wanda. I don’t want to see his ass.

I don’t want any more unfeeling remarks from white women. I don’t give a fuck what they think either.

These stories of possession and use by men are not free of thematic or symbolic baggage. Wanda’s history as a Roma woman is not free of baggage. 500 years of slavery and the state-sanctioned rape that went with it is a hell of a lot of baggage. When you take away Wanda’s autonomy over and over and over again and act as if she had no interior life anyway, so what’s the difference, you are saying something. Using her like this is not neutral or free of meaning.

So that’s my request, White Male Writers: If you’re going to use her like this again (and you are), think about what you’re saying.

Realizing he was getting slightly off-topic Clark returned his gaze to Wanda. “Ah, yes, something like that” he admitted. “Truth is magic is one of the few things that can hurt me and I’ve found myself at a crossroads with my current case.” If you couldn’t confess your weakness to an Avenger then who could you trust?

             “ SOUNDS LIKE TRANSIA but with more cornfields. ”  The sleepy country side had been the only life they has known until they came to America with Magneto.  Life had changed so fast that she barely remembered home anymore.  New York had become home.  Her eyes lit with her understanding.  Magic was a tricky art to go up against.  “ Don’t be ashamed of that.  The world has a way of making things balanced.  Every great strength has a weakness.  Luckily for you, I’m very strong in that area. ”  Sometimes you could only fight magic with magic and Wanda was skilled at that at least.  “ What can I do to help? ”
