Summary: In which Tetsurō Kuroo is deprived from his lover and is suffering the effects of being away from you.

Kuroo + GN! Reader / fluff

Tetsurō Kuroo, normally energetic and loud was rather the opposite. He was irritable, quiet, and kept to himself for most of the day. Those who don’t know him that well would assume that he woke up on the wrong side of the bed which is far from the truth. However, Kenma knows that he’s not deprived of sleep but deprived of his lover instead.

It’s been three weeks.

The trip was only supposed to be for a week but delays kept occurring, thinning out his patience.

Three weeks since Kenma and him had to leave Japan for a business trip and he can’t find himself enjoying the views in a different country when you’re not by his side. Especially when the two of you talked about going on a vacation, just the two of you, alone. The thought of it makes Kuroo sigh, staring out the balcony as Kenma rolled his eyes once more.

Of course Kuroo would call you almost everyday, but he can’t help but feel tenser without holding you in some way. He felt as if his social battery died and being in the comfort of your arms would make him feel alright again. He feels out of it, but for the sake of his company and job he hides it pretty well.

However, when he returns back to the hotel he and Kenma rest aside in, he melts into the bed holding a pillow. Kenma found it astonishing that you had an effect on him like that, so he took pictures to send to you and make fun of him later.

When it was finally time to return home he was ecstatic. He couldn’t shut up about you to Kuroo when they were on their way home, fiddling with his fingers as he went on and on about you which was something he tenses to do when he was really passionate about something, in this case someone.

“I feel so nervous to see them Kenma, it feels like I have a crush on them all over again”

or “I can’t wait to see Y/n again, do you think they’ll like these souvenirs I got them?”

along with the lines of “Kenma? (country name) would be a good place for honeymoon right?”

What Kuroo didn’t expect was that you were waiting for him at the airport. He expected you to be at home, but the minute he got off the plane his eyes landed on you, the one person who stands out to him the most. A smile immediately breaks out as he jogs towards you.

“Oh god I missed you so much baby,” Kuroo said, wrapping his arms around your waist as he rested his head in your neck, planting kisses all over your neck before trailing to your lips.

“I know you do Tetsu, Kenma sent me pictures,” you laughed, earning a glare from Kuroo who’s face quickly melted into the palm of your hands as you kissed him softly.

“But for the record, I missed you too” you smiled, which caused Kuroo’s heartbeat to fasten.

Growing up, Kuroo always thought home was just a place but you made him realize it could also be a person. You are his home, someone he misses no matter how far he goes which makes coming back to you twice as sweet.
