What I’ve learned in 2016 1. Friendship is a matter of convenience. It can be true and beautiful and fun and full of love until she moves to another city for college and finds 10 more people she can ‘connect’ with. 2. You don’t have to pursue a boring degree for a boring job. Yes, your passion is for things that make it harder to fetch money but you have one life. Do you really want to spend it doing something you don’t absolutely love? If you’re passionate about something, no matter what, you will excel, you will thrive. That’s the key to real success. Not some statistics stating the most lucrative jobs and industries. 3. You will exercise. You will drink more water. You will eat healthier. Not because you’re not beautiful the way you are but because your body deserves to be treated better. It literally has carries you around, has your back and actually has your heart from that first moment to your very last. 4. If they are a bitch to others what makes you think they won’t be one to you when the time comes? How people treat others is always a tell tale of how they will treat you. Pay attention. It’s better than feeling like a fool 6 years later. 5. Cook your own meals sometimes. You know just the amount of oil, salt and ingredients you want. You may not be a masterchef but you know what your stomach wants. 6. Surround yourself with happiness, inspiration and positivity and a very major part of that is social media. Who you follow is so important. Social media is supposed to be a happy and safe place for you. Choose the right people and the right works to fill your feeds because eventually those fill your mind and heart. 7. Nature is all healing. It’s the one thing in the beautiful presence of which even the most talkative person like you feels the need to shut up. Nature requires no words. It’s completeness is something to learn from. 8. Your parents live a life apart from being your parents. They have moments you’re not a part of, moments you don’t even know. They have not only had a life before you but also a life with you being there that you don’t know about. That’s okay and that’s not something to be mad about. 9. People will leave you. Always. Some in days, some in months. There are those who take decades and then there are those who never leave in physical form but withdraw all meaning and that’s when you must leave. But just because people leave their stay doesn’t become any less wonderful or important. 10. Sometimes the only person you need at 3 am is yourself. Give yourself mode credit. You can always help yourself. It may just take a little longer and be a little harder but you don’t need another person to help you. You are enough. You are strong. You will never disappoint. 11. Music of all type is necessary. Songs that make you cry and the ones that make you think and then those that make you only want to dance. 12. Draw. Everyone is an artist. And your drawings may look like those of a middle school kid but isn’t your joy just like hers? 13. Read more books. Yes, you’re older now and busier too but ‘busy ’ is an excuse and you know it. Find time for something that saved you. Find time for something that you love. 14. Lipstick is life. People may stare at you and they may get intimidated by certain shades but that’s okay, one smile and they will be at peace. 15. Click more selfies and click them without any shame. If you’re happy, if you look at yourself and feel like capturing that one moment where you feel good about yourself - go fucking ahead. Capture all your happiness, beauty and goofy-ness. But remember, they are for you and not your social media. 16. There’s literally no way you can help someone without helping yourself. And they may give you nothing in return and they may be ungrateful but who cares? They aren’t half the person you are and you can shrug it off and move on but remember unlike you, Karma never forgets. Also, karma is only a bitch if you are. The darkest moment is the very moment before sunrise. It’s a fact. So 2016 may have been your darkest time but that only means the sunlight of happiness and inspiration and love awaits you in 2017.

A Hopeless World

From Alan Rickman, Harambe, to George Michael, Carrie Fisher... I had a bad feeling that 2016 killed legends and famous icons who lived peacefully and Grim Reaper just took them away. And now, as Donald Trump will be the president next month, America begins to face death of unity (though I am not living in that country but I heard it from the news about America's possible division.) Well, 2017, I wish you kill 2016, the Grim Reaper, and make our lives much happier than that devastating year.

Me before watching Rogue One: Oh, this is a movie about stealing Death Star plans. This will be an easy plot that has warfare.

Me after watching Rogue One: WTF? THEY SHOULD KISS IN THE ELEVATOR! THEY SHOULD BE ALIVE SO THAT THEY WILL BE REY’S PARENTS!! Curse you producers—wait, that will make A New Hope sense. This is a tragically good movie anyway. I guess Rey’s parents are anywhere in the galaxy and will just pop out in Episode 8.

ONE WITH THE FORCE?? OH MAHHHH GOSHHHH!!! I AM CRYING NOW!! 😭😭😭

little ‘rebelcaptain’ things from the novelization

MAJOR SPOILERS, obviously, for Rogue One (and anyone who wants to read the novelization).

Jyn went through all of Cassian’s things while he was off having his secret conversation w Draven and made a mental note that there was ‘no holoimage of a dutiful wife’ like chill girl you could just ask him if he was single

THE BLASTER PISTOL SHE “FOUND” WAS STOLEN STRAIGHT OUT OF CASSIAN’S BAG LMAO IM SCREAMING

and he knows it too and lets her keep it looool

Moments after Cassian saves her life by shooting the rebel with the grenade, Jyn tackles him to the ground and saves his life in return

these two seem “pressed together” a lot like we get it, personal space is not a thing

Cassian is literally Always Stressed about Jyn being cold and injured after their battle in Jedha

but like, side note, Cassian is literally always stressed about Jyn anyway

even when he knows she’s served her purpose in the mission and is by all means ‘expendable’ (and is justifying in his mind a million reasons to leave her behind) he’s desperately trying to save her as Jedha is collapsing

Cassian comes up with a hundred reasons why he SHOULD shoot Galin Erso but what it comes down to in the end is the fact that he has Jyn’s eyes and he just CANT DO IT please someone end my suffering

when Cassian sees the explosion on the platform he whispers Jyn’s name

and then he RACES to save her, and the logical part of his brain is like “where would we even go? we’re trapped here anyway” but he’s so frantic he doesn’t care, his one track brain just locks onto Jyn and her wellbeing 

their fight after is so emotionally charged I almost can’t handle it 

once Cassian realizes Jyn won’t be getting the support from the council he slips out quietly with Bohdi and they gather people together to pull off the death star plan mission

when Jyn realizes what Cassian has done for her, how much he believes in her, and how dedicated he is to helping her, she finally starts healing for the first time in her character arc (which is why the line “welcome home” is so destroying like…….. this is the first time in the entire book that she actually feels hope)

something I didn’t realize in the movie but was spelled out more obviously in the book: when Jyn sees Cassian shot while they’re climbing the tower and he falls, she thinks he’s dead, and is literally so distraught she almost lets herself fall after him for a millisecond hahahaha :) :) this is fine :) 

and when she sees ‘the man in the white cape’ she mentally lists Cassian’s death up there with her parents as ways the man has made her life a living hell, and she burns with rage

and when she realizes Cassian is alive (and that he’s ended her nightmare by killing Krennic) he “looked as beautiful as anyone Jyn had ever known” and once she beams the plans to the death star out, she stumbles to him smiling like a child

when Cassian sees her smile he’s shook by how ordinary it is, how it turns her into a woman he might have known and understood “He hadn’t known her, didn’t know her, of course. There wasn’t the time.” NO

in the end Cassian still had a hard time forgiving himself for all the awful things he did in the name of the rebellion but looking at Jyn and knowing he’d given her what she needed, that was enough.

“Her faith carried him with her.”

As Jyn is carrying Cassian (who is SO WEAK and SO BROKEN) toward the beach, she blocks a dead rebel soldier from his view

“Somehow she found herself closer to Cassian than before. Her breathing matched his, or his matched hers, deep and steady.”

and Cassian, completely out of strength, somehow still manages to hold her tighter, as tightly as he can, as the bright white light blinds them both and they become one with the force

Things I can’t get over: Cassian’s adorable face when he looks at Jyn

Okay. So I have obviously been thinking about Rogue One a lot and I have come up with this theory to ease my aching heart over the couple that I fell in love with long before they did on screen… (Diego has amazing chemistry with everyone so it was easy to imagine his Cassian Andor with Felicity’s Jyn Erso)…

But here is my theory (that really only exists in my own mind but whatever)..

Lyra Erso gave Jyn a kyber crystal necklace and said “Trust the Force”. Ok. Jump ahead years later to the beach when Jyn and Cassian meet their demise from the Death Star… or did they?

The Death Star is powered by kyber crystals, which Jyn has. Now when they are hugging so tightly, what if the kyber crystal aka the Force saved them, somehow, with a barrier that deflected shock waves, debris, and energy. They live and I am so happy!! ❤

But that’s not all… what if Jyn and Cassian live out their lives in the Rebel underground, forced into hiding but remaining active while Luke and Han And Luke become the next face of the rebellion. They have found “home” in each other and are starting to make up for lost time. And eventually they become parents and give birth to a baby girl. Rey. And that could explain why Rey is “Force” sensitive, the Force saved her and her family. But when it is discovered that Jyn and Cassian are alive, they are now the most wanted Rebels by the Empire (besides the other before mentioned trio), they go into hiding and are forced to leave their girl safely away from the clutches of Evil on Jakku.

And to finish this ramble, her name is “Rey” because Jyn and Cassian didn’t die from the Death Star’s blast - only a “ray” of light passed over them!

It also explains why Maz straight out tells her her parents won’t return, and why Luke at the end of TFA understands why Rey is standing their in front of him. He knows of the stories of the rebellion during his pre-Jedi training and can now finish Rogue One’s story. Plus it would be awesome to see Lyra’s kyber crystal that she gave to Jyn become the heart of Rey’s light saber..

This whole idea gives me hope and happiness and just really makes me love Star Wars that much more. There is so much love and imagination in a galaxy far, far away…

Cassian and his Jyn anxiety

Doest thou have any jyn/cassian pregnancy headcanons??

Sure! One or two of my one shot requests are also related to this so stay tuned for those in the next week or so.

•Jyn found out she was pregnant when Cassian was away. She wanted him to be the first to know though so she had to wait a week or so until he returned to tell him. Chirrut could sense it before she mentioned it to him, but he didn’t tell her that because he knew she wanted Cassian to be the first to hear the good news.•Cassian barely reacted when Jyn first told him they were expecting. He’d finally come home late at night and could barely keep his eyes open he was so tired. Jyn told him he was going to be a father and he just sort of nodded to himself. It wasn’t until a few minutes later when he actually processed what she’d said that he got excited. He didn’t sleep a wink that night and was known to tell everyone more than once about how he was going to be a father.•Cassian surprisingly had strong opinions about baby names. He really wanted to name the baby after one of Jyn’s parents, but Jyn didn’t really want to do that. Cassian would always tease Jyn about naming their child something ridiculous. Eventually she’d get a bit frustrated and he’d apologize. He never took it too far.•Jyn got irritated once she was too big to do everything the way she was used to. She’d always been agile and quick on her feet, but with her baby bump growing all the time she didn’t quite know what to do with herself. Cassian would always have to calm her down and get her to a point where she could admit she needed some assistance.•Cassian loved feeling the baby kick. Every time it happened Jyn would call for him and he’d come rushing over to put his hands on her stomach. He was always so excited, joking that there was a little pilot or Jedi in there excited to meet them.•Cassian almost missed the delivery. He was helping brief some spies on an upcoming mission when K-2SO interrupted to let Cassian know the baby was on the way. That was the one time Cassian let his duty to the Rebellion slide. Jyn and the baby needed him and he made it just in time to welcome his child into the world.

I need Jeanne Erso, whose father, a French physicist, was captured by the Nazis and forced to work on a top-secret weapons project. Unknown to his German masters, he constructed plans to subvert it from within, and sent a young Wehrmacht driver with a message about the weapon to his daughter and the old partisan leader whose band Jeanne had once been involved with. 

I need Casián Andor, Spanish saboteur and freedom-fighter, determined to destroy fascism as a member of the French Resistance, accompanied by his overly-blunt British partner, Kay, a strategist with near mechanical powers of recall and observation. 

I need Imre and Malbusse, veterans of the Great War and former priests, who join with Jeanne and Casián as part of a plan to secretly cross into the Greater German Reich and steal the weapon design, thereby revealing the single flaw built into its system.

I need forged passports, encrypted messages, forest hideouts, poisons and antidotes, pistols hidden in the folds of newspapers, meetings with informants in the dark corners of cabarets, kisses stolen just as the bombs explode. 

I need love and war and death and I need it all right now.
