FACTS ABOUT THE 450 PARLIAMENTARY CHAMBER BLOCK
The news about the building of 450 Parliamentary Chamber Block has received outright anger from Ghanaians, and rightly so.
We have followed the issues and would like to make the following observations:
1. The decision to build the New Parliamentary Chamber Block has been that of the Parliamentary Service Board which has representatives from both sides of the house.
2. As we speak the proposal has not been put before the entire house for deliberations and for subsequent approval or rejection.
3. Members of the house are even yet to be formally briefed on the details of the project as to the source of funding and other important details.
4. It is very important to state that our checks with government suggests that, the NPP government has not committed to building any chamber for Parliament. It is purely a Parliamentary proposal.
5. It is not a project being embarked upon by the NPP Government (Executive).

*OPEN LETTER TO NAANA OYE-LITHUR, SELF ACCLAIMED "GENDER ACTIVIST"*
Dearly,
*WHAT DO YOU SAY TO MR. MUNTAKA FOR SLAPPING A YOUNG FEMALE IN ASAWASI?*
First of all, I want to believe that you are not in Ghana, or perhaps, you are here but you never heard that one Member of Parliament, in the person of Mr. Muntaka had given dirty slaps to a young female in Asawasi constituency over the ongoing limited registration exercise. Ok! Be it as it may; let us delve into the matter here since technology can allow me to reach out to you.
If my memory serves me right, we were here when you used state funds to mobilize hundreds of females in Ghana to go on demonstration over a comment passed by Hon. Kennedy Agyapong which in your judgement was against the dignity of females in general. As if that was not enough. You have been one critic of NPP government over everything which you do associate them with females which in your judgement again is not pleasant to the dignity of females. The recent one was the President objective comment passed on gender parity of which you made politics out of it.
Now, here comes a Member of Parliament who has been a Minister of state before, and currently doubles as the Minority Chief Whip in Parliament had slapped an innocent young female in the Asawasi constituency; and you have not utter a word. That is quite strange and seems to be an open hypocrisy. If you want some of us to take you serious as a true Gender Activist, then you ought to take off your political lense and condemn these open barbaric and deviant acts without any shred of fears.
Eeerrrmmm on a lighter note, I used "Mr. Muntaka" because what he did in my judgement disqualifies him to be called "HONORABLE", and so you must take note of that part. Thank You

*PRESS RELEASE*
1st July, 2019.
*HON. MUNTAKA MUBARAK ASSAULTS AND BRUTALIZES HIS CONSTITUENT*
ASH FM, and an eye
witness has obtained an audio and footage depicting NPP Member of
Asawase Youth Mobilization (Samira Girls Girls), being heckled and attacked by the Member
of Parliament Mr. Muntaka Mubarak and Chairman Mutum in the ongoing limited Voters
Registration Exercise at the Asawase Municipal Assembly within Ashanti Region.
Late Friday Evening, Zeinabu Jibril (the lady) in an interview with ASH FM said she had just
been assaulted by the two members of the NDC party.
In the video of an eyewitness the two men were seen seriously slapping and beating Zeinabu.
Zeinabu is traumatized. "When I went to the hospital, I couldn’t feel my ears nor feel my
arms. I didn’t understand why they could do this;” Zinabu Gibril told Ash Fm.
*Background*
Just within the close of the registration of that day, Hon Mubarak, Chairman Mutum and some
party supporters came to the venue accusing them of falsely registering candidates at night.
They came with an eyewitness to testify to what they were saying, but in an attempt by the
young lady to uncover the identity of their eyewitness dressed in a head gear (Hijab). The two
members of the NDC party slapped and beat her resulting in several injuries. This incident
happened on the 28th of June 2019 at around 6:05pm when the NDC party members had closed
from a meeting held around the venue.
The Coalition of Npp Female Volunteer Leaders wants the Female Ministers, Ministry for
Gender, Children and Social Protection, the Police Administration, the Commission on Human
Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) and all concerned NPP members to investigate and
the appropriate sanctions applied.
The CNFVL is appalled that an MP, whose primary duties include ensuring the safety of
persons, should assault the very person he is duty-bound to protect, with such impunity.
According to our Constitution anybody who under the guise of maintaining peace and order
attack, abuse and dehumanize citizens must not escape the arm of the law and victims of such
assault and brutalities must receive justice.
The CNFVL empathises with the victim of the assault for the traumatic experience she
underwent, and to stress that under no circumstances should any citizen or resident of Ghana be
subjected to such cruelty.
*We ask for justice for Zinabu Gibril!!!*
.....Signed.......
