sound of the wind
I plan to create an installation project called "Sound of Wind", which aims to visualize the power of wind and create a beautiful wind sound through paper pinwheels. The project will combine elements of nature and art to provide the viewer with an experience of interacting with nature and reflecting on the relationship between sound and vision.
Tumblr media
Designing and making paper pinwheels: each pinwheel will be made of lightweight paper to maintain sensitivity to the slight breeze.
"Sound of the Wind" will be a paper pinwheel that creates a sound of wind through the interaction of the wind and the audience. The audience will be able to walk around the installation and feel the wind while listening to the sound effects created by the pinwheel.
where:
Outdoors in windy conditions.
Research:
I will be experimenting with different paper materials and pinwheel designs to find the best way to build them interactively.
Artists:
Installation artist Daniel Rozin, who features interactivity and visualization to create installations that reflect viewer behavior.
Tumblr media
Nature artist Andy Goldsworthy, whose work often interacts with natural elements, inspired the combination of nature and art in my project.
Tumblr media
The 'Wind Door' installation by Najla EI Zein inspired me to use the shape of a pinwheel to represent the sound of the wind.

Sound Walk
This is where my friends and I walked and hung out on a weekend afternoon. Once on the trail, you can barely hear the noise of cars and people. Just silence and the accompanying sounds of nature.

Sound Ecology(Collect materials)
This is the first assignment for my Art of Sound and Noise class. My project was to record sounds from the kitchen. In the kitchen, there are many sounds that we hear every day, but at the same time, we ignore them. So I wanted to record them.
Pouring rice
Kitchen hood
Plastic bag
Gas stove
Oil injection
In addition, there are the sounds of cooking, chopping, pouring water, boiling, etc.

He has also shown at Biennials such as Havana, Istanbul, Kochi, Liverpool, Mercosul, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney.
Lozano-Hemmer was the subject of 75 solo exhibitions worldwide, including a major show at the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington DC, the inaugural show at the AmorePacific Museum in Seoul and a mid-career retrospective co-produced by the MAC in Montréal and SFMOMA.
In 2019, his interactive installation Border Tuner connected people across the US-Mexico border using bridges of light controlled by the voices of participants.

In this exhibition, I heard and saw many sounds that could not be heard or seen, as well as a series of interactive sound installations. There are 3D printed speech bubbles and see your voice travel through the corrugated grooves. There is a simulated lung breathing device, which allows visitors to experience the number of contractions of the lungs in a day through a plastic tube and a paper bag.
Here is a recording of a simulated lung breathing device.
