Let me share one of my favorite bandit moments in OG Oblivion.

So, I was taking Martin for a walk (gotta take him on a walk to get out some of that bloodlust), and this Khajiit highwayman jumps out and greets Eliezer.

Instead of the usual "gimme money or die" I got "well, well, well. If it isn't the Divine Crusader". I guess he got a warning from some Khajiit ancestors or something because I clicked out of the conversation and he didn't attack. He just hung out in the bushes and let us pass.

My only other guess was that Martin was glaring at him with sheer righteous, and royal fury, so he backed off.

Been holding on to this for a while. Here's Eliezer being done with Martin's bullshit

On a side note, I like to draw Eliezer with a slight bit of facial hair despite him not really having it in game (because why not, it makes him look like the pathetic feral cat I picture him being).

And yes, that is Pelinal pretty much haunting Eliezer as a ghost. It rattles Eliezer's sanity as much as you think it does.

The First Oblivion Gate

What compels your HoK to leap into that first gate? Assume for all intents and purposes that it's impossible to pass through it to get into the city. They have no idea if Martin is dead or alive. No one else is coming with them, and plenty have already died trying to close it themselves.

Still a work-in-progress, but here's a Martin I've been working on and off on since last summer

I'm trying to be a close to his in game model and I can, but he still looks like a moldy potato. I'm going to be nitpicking this one for a while.

It never fails to crack me up when an Oblivion npc complements you in one breath and then insults you in the next.

It's like they're happy with you, exclaiming: "Hey, you're the Hero of Kvatch! Thank you for closing that Oblivion gate! Thank you for saving me! You're the Divine Crusader too!"

Not even 2 seconds later, and with a look of disgust: "You're a sneaky looking sort..."

Like, ok buddy, next time you're stuck in a cave with a bunch of zombies, I'll remember that.

30 Minutes into Oblivion and Chill and He gives you this look:

Remembered something random and awkward that happened me one session in Skyrim. I was leaving the Retching Netch and the moment I clicked the door, I hear Ralis right behind me say "Azura's wisdom to you-". Annnd, then it suddenly fades into the loading screen.

I was like "Oh shit. I just cut him off mid sentence."

The game loads and there he is, standing right in front of me. The mer looked pissed. Ralis walked back into the Retching Netch without saying a word.

Ralis didn't come up and greet me for the next few times I stopped by like he usually did.

There's one moment during the Defense of Bruma that I think about often (besides Martin finishing his speech by pulling out an iron dagger). I remember having to reload a few times because Baurus and/or Jauffre kept dying or I'd accidentally hit someone. There was one moment when I was going around and healing everyone and I yelled at Jauffre in frustration: "You're not dying on me, old man!" only for him to get one-shotted by a daedra a second later.
