Tried to watch jjba for the first time, but episode 1 made me really mad. Please tell me Dio gets his butt kicked in a massive way. I like villains, but based on ep 1 alone he is deplorable!! Does he get better? Or worse? I mean that was just bad.

Reasons why I haven’t been very active the past 2 weeks: .Last week was recovery week from AWA. Sporadic mini road trips also took place. .This week I have to be at work at 5 am every single day (*dies*) .Also this week, working like crazy in my spare time to get as much done art-wise since I am potentially doing a table at a local con, which is less than a month away. But only if I get the art things done! .And when I’m not working or makin’ stuffs, I’m attempting to catch up on sleep. :’D I hope everyone else is way more rested than me, and having a great week! <3

Last picture - the only way I could sit with my armor was to turn it around like that, and it made me look SUPER RIDICULOUS. Love it. Thanks Leah for taking that picture :’D

I was Rinkah from Fire Emblem: Fates at AWA this year!!! Thank you so much @raditz-of-the-group for making the amazing armor and mask!!! It was a blast getting to see many others cosplaying from FE14. This cosplay was so much fun, and AWA was pretty awesome this year. (Pt. 2 photos here!!)

Just got back from my weekend at awa, so tired! It was so much fun though, met lots of neat people and got to speak with the guests I wanted to speak to ^_^ I'll post up pictures tomorrow - I debuted my Rinkah cosplay and had a blast getting sooo many pictures taken!

I look at them and think they need something more, so that’s why I haven’t posted them yet. Ok, enough posts from me for now. I need to go draw some more I guess!

Love him or hate him, his design is great. And I love drawing characters with great designs. (sloppy joker card design with nonsensical doodle heads in the corners because I just wanted to) My thoughts on this character located here!

My thoughts about a particular aa6 case 2 character (placing all under cut, don’t read if you want to avoid spoilers!)

I gotta admit, when I first saw Roger Retinz’s design, everything about him screamed ‘LOVE ME AUDREY’. Seriously, he’s a robert downey jr. look a like, and his clothes design is just fabulous. But then they introduced him in the game.... I was severely disappointed with his character in the beginning. Selfish, manipulative tv producer with those qualities amped up even more to fit in with the quirky-ness of the ace attorney universe. His sprite animations were equally cheesy to fit in with that persona, which somehow made him even more cringe-worthy. His total lack of sympathy, combined with his immature grudge holding, was just disappointing. ...And then the reveal towards the end.. his reveal as Mr. Reus was pretty spectacular. Even though it was obvious, I have to give credit where credit is due - his magician sprites were amazing. His entire change in persona was great and it made him waaaay more likable. This change in personality, which I believe is the real Roger, is still fitting with the villainous mindset but he was a far more likable character once his true self came out! Not to mention, his breakdown was possibly the best in series (my opinion, of course!). So I was conflicted on how I should feel about this character! Everything about him in the first half of the game gives anyone any right to outright hate him. But I think that’s what makes him such a brilliant villain - if he can elicit such visceral emotions, he did his job, and he did his job well. Then when he finally claimed his real identity publicly, the more serious attitude made him an enjoyable character, at least for me. He was unapologetic and wasn’t going to waver from it, even in defeat. A true villain, perhaps not the most evil, but definitely smart and cunning. It’s just unfortunate he used his brilliance, business savvy, and talent in a cruel manner, and I don’t blame anyone for disliking him for it. He gave off a major von Karma vibe to me, who I also thought was a decent villain - Edgeworth greatly respected him as a prosecutor. Trucy greatly respected Mr. Reus as a magician. Both did nothing wrong and were betrayed by who they respect in an extravagant, life altering manner. In an extra note - I love that Mr. Reus resembles more of a joker playing card compared to the classic hearts, diamonds, spades, and clubs. A joker is usually tossed out of a deck, or used as a wild card. His character fit both of those traits, which was a great subtle design choice. All in all, I think my final thought is... I do really like Roger, for all the details I gave above. He’s a pretty vile villain, but that’s what you want - great villains to make a great story, to make you feel a certain way and make you think. And honestly, case 2 was probably one of, if not overall, my favorite in the game.

Finished AA6! (thoughts under cut):

(initial thoughts on cases 1-3 here) Case 4 was kinda fun, I enjoyed the quirky characters but I wasn’t sure why it was such a short case. I would’ve loved a full length case of that instead of case 3, but eh maybe that’s just me. Uendo was precious and Athena was way more likable here. And Simon as Athena’s “assistant”? Loved that.

Case 5 was both really great and really long winded. I loved all the twists and turns (one twist made me so sad but I kinda called it *sob* ) and I really enjoyed seeing Apollo really come into his own and have some growth. I’ve always been indifferent to Apollo as a character, and I still kinda am, but he was great here. Dhurke’s awesome, and seeing more of Nahyuta’s story was nice but I really wish that was expanded upon even more! It really focused on Apollo, which was fine, but still. I love getting to know new characters! Also, I adored Armie, so precious. My biggest complaint with case 5 was Ga’ran. Her second design just... it was cool I guess? But it didn’t feel like it fit at all within the ace attorney universe. It was so out of place. Her hair tentacles disturbed me. Also, don’t read this to avoid a potential spoiler: I can’t be the only one to think of Ace when they discussed Inga. Like holy crap. OTHER THOUGHTS: **Rayfa was far more enjoyable as the game went on, and I don’t want to spoil something but I was really sad about her past. I’ll expand on that later when more people have played the game! **And I must say that case 2 holds the best villain breakdown. Possibly ever. **WHERE the heck is Franziska. And Gumshoe. I just want a solid ‘they’re off fighting crime’ acknowledgement by other characters and I can be happy. Kinda. **I understand this game centered more around Apollo, and last game was more Athena-centric, which makes sense... but I kinda miss Phoenix being front and center. I wanna dlc costume in his AJ era clothes. **I wish Ema had more of a presence in the game. **It was kind of odd to not have a classic assistant, even though AA5 set the premise for that as well. I want Phoenix with assistant Trucy in at least one case. And if they did a Athena/Simon team, do a Phoenix/Edgeworth team, and bring all the bickering.

Been playin’ the latest ace attorney game, so here’s my initial thoughts so far! (placing it all under cut for those who haven’t played yet!)

So I just started case 4 this afternoon. Overall it’s a fun game, but it’s not capturing my attention as much as previous titles. Lemme break it down case by case... Case 1 was ok. Not awesome, not bad. Just kinda meh, but this was an introductory case so it’s to be expected. My first impression of Rayfa was the same, just ‘ok’. What made me smile the most was Shah’do :D Case 2 was really cute for the most part! Trucy was great. And I liked Athena very much in DD, but in this case I found her to be annoying :/ I wasn’t surprised by the big reveals though, and the character treatment for Roger Retinz was... interesting. I really disliked him (and it was so disappointing because he’s basically robert downey jr.’s look a like pfffft) but the last half of the game, I started to really like him. One of those love/hate characters, I’m still conflicted honestly. Great animations though.

Case 3........... ugh. Boring, long, and I found myself not caring. It was a convoluted mess, in my opinion. I did enjoy seeing some more background info on some characters, but those moments were few and far between. Rayfa is still just ‘ok’ in my book, I’m really hoping her character develops far beyond than where they have her at the moment. I will say I’m not a big fan of the seance thing in the trials, it’s a neat idea but execution could be improved.

Ah yes, the new prosecutor. He’s so pretty! Ahaha, I do enjoy him, I’m actually liking him more than Simon, and I’m reallllllly excited to hear more of his backstory. So glad to see Ema back as well, but she seems so flat so far... I want to see more character from her. And Maya.... I’m totally indifferent to her return. Oh and, these pun-filled names are ridiculous, I can’t be the only one thinking it?!

Usually my reactions change around mid-game though, when everything starts falling into place. So we’ll see how it goes! I am enjoying it overall, it still has a lot of charm and wit to offer!
